We’re looking for an experienced individual to join our Community Fundraising team as Community Fundraising Officer, covering our West Midlands hub. You will join us working 35 hours per week on a permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of up to £32,013 per annum plus excellent benefits.

The Community Fundraising Officer is an exciting role for a community fundraiser who wants to make a positive impact and drive income generation. Sitting in the Community Fundraising and Events department within the Marketing and Income Generation Directorate the Community Fundraising Officer plays a pivotal role in leading and supporting community activities to drive and grow community fundraised income. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse range of products and activities, work alongside dedicated volunteers, meet our loyal supporters and demonstrate the joy and impact of community fundraising all for the benefit of cats and kittens in the UK. 

What we’re looking for:

• Experience of raising funds in a community fundraising environment

Growing Hope is a charity providing free therapy for children and young people with additional needs in partnership with local churches across the UK. We aim to grow hope for children, hope for families and hope in Jesus. Growing Hope was founded in December 2017 and has a vision to see 20 clinics set up across the UK by 2030. Job Purpose 
Growing Hope is a national charity with a growing number of clinics across the UK. This operations role will provide support across the Growing Hope national staff team. This will include support with administration, finance, fundraising and training. This role is key in enabling all the functions of the national charity to run smoothly and effectively. The role will be based in King’s Cross with occasional events outside of the office.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 
Duties and responsibilities will be discussed and developed as the charity continues to grow. It is anticipated that this time will be flexible and adjusted according to the needs and priorities at the time. Specifically the role with include: 

IT administration

• Administration of IT systems, logins and spreadsheets for the team, volunteers, staff and freelancers (keeping these up to date and amending systems as required).
• Ordering and setting up IT hardware and software for individuals joining the team.
• Oversight of IT systems used by Growing Hope including ticket tailor, jot form, mail chimp, Microsoft office, google adverts and tracking. Supporting with problem solving when issues arise. 
• Overseeing and training others in Canopy (clinic administration software) and helping support and problem solve with using this. This includes liaising with a freelance software developer to manage the development project.

HR administration

• Oversight of the recruitment checking process for new volunteers, trustees, freelancers and employees. This includes carrying out DBS checks, calling referees, chasing for references and communicating with individuals as they start with Growing Hope.
• Management of the ‘internal news’ list in order to track individuals working closely with the charity. 
• Writing, drafting and sending out HR letters, contracts and contract variations. 
• Organising internal events on behalf of the team including away days, training days and ad hoc events. 
• Organising online training as required for members of the Growing Hope team.

Office Support

• Overseeing the day to day office and building use including the alarm, maintenance visits, wifi, printer and other equipment. This includes liaising with other individuals who have office use.
• Liaising with the Director of Operations around the use of the office.
• Ordering office supplies as required, ensuring office space and storage is kept organised. 
• Supporting with external events planning including finding venues, sponsorship and items needed.
• Ordering equipment as required across the team.
• Ad hoc tasks as required across the team. 

Volunteer admin support

• Processing volunteer applications and induction as required. 
• Oversight of volunteers using the office space on a day to day basis. Including allocating volunteer tasks and explaining and supporting with these as required. 
• Managing volunteer IT access. 

General 

• Sending letters and emails and making phone calls as required.
• Logging all actions on Salesforce database.
• Maintain data protection & confidentiality in line with Growing Hope’s policy.
• Ensure adherence to Safeguarding and wider Growing Hope policies.
• Actively contributing to staff prayer meetings and upholding Growing Hope’s Christian values.

Person Specification 
The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working in the charity sector, an interest in additional needs and inclusion are highly desirable.

ESSENTIAL

• This role has an Occupational Requirement to be a Christian, as permitted under Schedule 9, Part 1, of the Equality Act 2010.  Excellent copywriting and proof-reading skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organisation and time management skills.
• Ability to work with Microsoft word, excel, outlook and ppt efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to understand and work with back end IT systems such as wordpress, google admin suite and azure.
• Ability to take initiative and have a flexible approach to tasks.

About the role

As the Head of Financial Control and Operations (FC&O), you’ll be managing a highly engaged team of fourteen with three direct reports who are supported to drive their own development. About you

You will be an experienced finance professional and chartered accountant, with experience of year-end processes, including accounts production and external audits, and have a good understanding of charity finance including the laws, regulations and taxation that come with this. You’ll need a strong control mindset, with experience and understanding of effective financial control frameworks.

You’ll have great people management skills and experience, not only in leading your team to success but also with knowing how to influence and challenge peers at all levels to ensure that we work collaboratively and manage Shelter’s financial resources effectively.  Excellent time and project management skills are also required, including the ability to work to competing deadlines and prioritise asks when circumstances change.

Add in, excellent attention to detail with a high-level of numeracy and good MS Excel skills, as well as strong experience of using accounting software (Unit 4 Business World is desirable), and it’s clear you have exactly what we’re looking for.

The South East London Suicide Bereavement Service is a collaboration between South East London Mind, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, and Mind in Bexley. We are looking for a compassionate, reflective and resilient individual to fill the key role of Suicide Bereavement Support Worker. Your primary responsibilities will be to deliver one-to-one emotional and practical support and co-facilitate occasional bereavement support groups. This role involves building relationships with people from all walks of life and managing your own caseload. You will have ownership over your work, while being supported through regular supervision and reflective practice.

With experience providing emotional support, including to those who have experienced bereavement, you will be an excellent communicator with good assessment and support planning skills. You will also be highly organised and able to manage a busy and varied workload. The ability to adapt your approach to a wide variety of people, ensuring that support is inclusive and sensitive to service users’ cultural and religious backgrounds, is essential. This role involves meeting clients in the community, including carrying out home visits. Although it is possible to fulfil the travel requirements of the role by public transport, this would best suit someone with access to their own mode of transport, such as a car or bicycle.

We encourage applications from people with lived experience of bereavement by suicide, although this is not a requirement for the role.

About the HR Business Partner Role:

The role acts as the key point of contact for managers and staff on all employment issues. About the role

We are seeking an IT Tech Support Team Lead to support ARTICLE 19 during its migration to the MS365 platform and applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing A19’s technical support operations, including deploying, optimising and supporting applications and users across the organisation. About the role

You will work closely with the Housing First team, colleagues and accommodation providers, to place clients directly into homes in places they want to be. Then you will work with them to develop outcome-focused support plans that reflect their personal strengths and goals, to make sure that they can sustain their accommodation and thrive in their community.

Also you will coordinate support around your client and act as a key worker to help them sustain their accommodation and move forward with their lives. This will mean coordinating interventions provided by other agencies so that the right support is provided at the right time, to enable the service user to progress on their journey to recovery.  Giving full advice on different issues such as homelessness and housing options, tenancy issues e.g. dampness and disrepair, welfare and housing benefits, debt and employment is also a key aspect of the role. You will need to visit clients in their homes or community locations which could be anywhere in Dorset.

About you

You will need a relevant background that includes experience of housing, homelessness and welfare benefits law and experience supporting people who are vulnerable and/or have multiple disadvantage. Through this you will have a good working knowledge of safeguarding frameworks. Proficiency using a range of IT tools to carry out your work, including Microsoft Office applications is important too. If you have experience of using case managements systems this is an advantage, but not essential. The role will need you to visit clients in their homes so you will need a valid driving licence and be willing to use your vehicle for work purposes - for which an essential car user allowance will be paid.
