As an Employment Coach with our Employcare Project you will be supporting unpaid carers living in Manchester; providing support and coaching in order for them to re-enter paid employment or voluntary roles. The successful candidates will manage a small caseload of carers and provide them with 1:1 support, helping them overcome barriers to employment and training. This role is part of the Wiltshire Project which provides individual and family support to domestic abuse for victims and their children.
Working with children and young people, the team will focus on delivering timely and high quality, trauma informed support to children who have been the victims of domestic abuse.
This is a fixed term position to November 2025.
This exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.
In addition, there will be the opportunity to work with the team and manager to develop and deliver new group work provision for young people.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
· To provide high quality, specialist support to children who have lived in a domestically abusive family.
· Enabling young people to access statutory and other services where appropriate.

· To deliver educational, time-bound, 1 to 1 support sessions for children and young people.

This role will be based in our Trowbridge office, with a requirement to travel across Wiltshire. FearFree supports staff to work flexibly, with an ability to work in a hybrid fashion, both at home and in the office.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of low to high risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies.
- Complete an initial assessment of the child’s needs so that you can identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating.
- Assess, manage and review risks to service users, colleagues and self, according to agreed procedures.

- To understand and work effectively within a multi-agency framework, consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse, in order to reduce the risk for service users and their families.
- Accompany service users, when needed, to other relevant agencies and support them in their interactions with these agencies.
- To work alongside colleagues to deliver a whole family approach.
- Be proactive with your line manager to carry out periodic case reviews.
- Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services work in, and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of survivors ensuring the service is accessible to all.

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Advocate to join our team covering Sunderland on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. Your role will require you to travel to locations such as clients’ homes, hospitals, care homes and within community settings across the area to meet with clients and professionals. You will be home based for administration; therefore, access to your own transportation and a suitable home internet connection is essential. This is a part-time role, 17.5 hours per week, and working hours can be discussed at interview but would suit school hours.
About you
Desirably you will have some experience of working in advocacy, or providing welfare, supporting, or caring for Adults or young people who have support needs, ideally for those with a variety of communication needs, mental ill health, physical health issues, or barriers to accessing education and support.
You should have worked or volunteered in health, social care, welfare, support services, education or young person’s services, or advice and guidance.

You will be responsible for ensuring the individual’s wishes, feelings, beliefs, needs, and values are met to create positive outcomes for the people you support.
You will support people to speak up for themselves and grow in confidence, equip them to understand and exercise their rights and options, and will assist them in the decision-making process relating to their care, treatment, and support.
You will work resourcefully and collaboratively with the individuals you support. You’ll be creative in your approach to empower our clients by ensuring you meaningfully explain people’s options and rights to them. You’ll support individuals to fully participate in decisions affecting them and will make sure they have their voices heard.

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led literacy and numeracy programmes across a number of prisons. We now have the opportunity to provide a service at HMP Featherstone. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme at HMP New Featherstone, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.
This role will be prison-based. ACT (or Aldates Community Transformation Initiatives) is a welcoming community that includes many with lived experience of prison, street homelessness or addiction. Through street and prison outreach, community meals, mentoring and housing, we help people rebuild their lives after some of life’s toughest experiences.
Everything we do is designed to help people find belonging, purpose and hope. That looks different for each person. But most of our activities are rooted in relationship – whether that’s bacon butty breakfasts, small group sessions, back-to-work projects or our annual holiday.
ACT is a registered charity with the board of trustees drawn from within the church, including the Rector. Occasionally we invite other trustees with specific expertise. ACT has a total income of around £400,000 per annum, five salaried staff, and over 100 volunteers from within the church. About the role
We are looking for a dedicated, experienced fundraiser to oversee and drive forward all of our income generation. This post will work closely alongside our various teams and projects to raise awareness of our work among potential supporters. The postholder will be responsible for building sustainable and diverse income streams through regular giving, bid writing, events, and corporate partnerships. You will establish engaging supporter journeys that maintain long-term relationships with regular donors, high net worth supporters, and corporate clients.
Here's the person specification for the role:
- At least 2 years of experience of proven success in a fundraising role.
- Detailed knowledge of at least one of the following: trusts and foundations / individual giving / community / corporate fundraising.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage and enthuse audiences through a broad range of communications channels.
- Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating events, projects and/or campaigns.
- Leadership experience - this could be in work or elsewhere, with staff, projects, volunteers or communities.
- Project management and organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise and work in a self-directed manner.
- Understanding of LGBTQ+ communities.
- Ability and willingness to help with organisational events such as Pride or conferences several times a year.

- Numerate; able to understand, monitor and manage budgets and other financial information and systems.
