As an Employment Coach with our Employcare Project you will be supporting unpaid carers living in Manchester; providing support and coaching in order for them to re-enter paid employment or voluntary roles.  The successful candidates will manage a small caseload of carers and provide them with 1:1 support, helping them overcome barriers to employment and training.  You will be responsible for supporting them through every stage of their journey, enabling participants to address their barriers and realise their aspirations.

This role is subject to a Basic DBS check.

The Miscarriage Association is a national charity dedicated to providing support and information to anyone affected by the loss of a baby in pregnancy. We are now looking for a Head of Operations and Service Delivery to help us develop and deliver our core support, information and training services in line with our new three-year strategy. Working alongside the CEO, you will contribute to the charity’s strategic vision and plans and help to translate these into operational activity and KPIs.

Managing a staff team of four, you will be responsible for ensuring the expansion and smooth running of our helpline, live chat and other direct contact services, putting in place effective systems to measure the quality and impact of these.

You’ll oversee the volunteers’ strategy and programme and manage and develop our training offer for health professionals and employers, working with the staff team and freelance support to deliver these.

Working with children and young people, the team will focus on delivering timely and high quality, trauma informed support to children who have been the victims of domestic abuse.

This is a fixed term position to November 2025.

This exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.

In addition, there will be the opportunity to work with the team and manager to develop and deliver new group work provision for young people.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

· To provide high quality, specialist support to children who have lived in a domestically abusive family.

· Enabling young people to access statutory and other services where appropriate.

· Managing a caseload and working proactively to support young people and their families.

· To deliver educational, time-bound, 1 to 1 support sessions for children and young people.

· Provide specialist support to child victims, with a focus on empowering young people to make informed decisions.

· Ensure that children and young people have a thorough understanding of what constitutes a ‘healthy relationship’.

· Undertake risk assessments and implement robust safety management plans.

· Give practical and emotional support to children affected by domestic abuse.

· Work closely with multi-agency partners and the wider Wiltshire team to ensure that we maintain a focus on risk management and safeguarding.

· Work with your team and manager to develop early intervention resources.

· Engaging with and supporting the MARAC and MASH process, to ensure that the voice of victims is heard.

This role will be based in our Trowbridge office, with a requirement to travel across Wiltshire. FearFree supports staff to work flexibly, with an ability to work in a hybrid fashion, both at home and in the office.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of low to high risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies.
• Complete an initial assessment of the child’s needs so that you can identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating.
• Assess, manage and review risks to service users, colleagues and self, according to agreed procedures.
• Assess the needs of the child and devise appropriate support and safety plans with due regard to the dynamic nature of risk.

• Act as duty officer for Wiltshire, responding to incoming calls, logging referrals and making assigned outgoing calls, according to the duty rota. Duty shifts will be 9 – 5 in the Trowbridge Office.
• To understand and work effectively within a multi-agency framework, consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse, in order to reduce the risk for service users and their families.
• Accompany service users, when needed, to other relevant agencies and support them in their interactions with these agencies.
• To work alongside colleagues to deliver a whole family approach.
• Be proactive with your line manager to carry out periodic case reviews.
• Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services work in, and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of survivors ensuring the service is accessible to all.

Groups and Activities

• Work with the Childrens and Families Team Manager to develop and deliver, a group work intervention for young people.
• Assist with recruiting children and young people to be involved in the development of groups or activities, providing them with on-going support.
• Run groups for children and young people following a planned programme.

General

Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led literacy and numeracy programmes across a number of prisons.  We now have the opportunity to provide a service at HMP Featherstone. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme at HMP New Featherstone, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read. 

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings  underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. 

This role will be prison-based. The EDI Lead will work with teams across the organisation including our People and Culture team to shape meaningful interventions and improve representation in our services and staff.

ACT (or Aldates Community Transformation Initiatives) is a welcoming community that includes many with lived experience of prison, street homelessness or addiction. Through street and prison outreach, community meals, mentoring and housing, we help people rebuild their lives after some of life’s toughest experiences.

Everything we do is designed to help people find belonging, purpose and hope. That looks different for each person. But most of our activities are rooted in relationship – whether that’s bacon butty breakfasts, small group sessions, back-to-work projects or our annual holiday.

ACT is a registered charity with the board of trustees drawn from within the church, including the Rector. Occasionally we invite other trustees with specific expertise. ACT has a total income of around £400,000 per annum, five salaried staff, and over 100 volunteers from within the church. Staff are employed by St Aldates PCC and seconded to the ACT Charity with the Head of Charity line managed by the St Aldates COO.

ACT has a strong connection with St Aldates Church which supports the ministry with people, practical support and use of office and gathering spaces. The Head of Charity is key to leading the outreach work of St Aldates.

As a city centre church, working alongside people who are poor or marginalised is a key part of St Aldates’ ministry and is carried out largely through ACT.

We are seeing people come to faith in Jesus on a weekly basis, and we are pioneering new ways of discipling people to make a difference in every area of their lives. We are passionate about connecting with and supporting people who are street homeless and those in or leaving local prisons through our ACT ministry. 

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Crucial to the success of ACT is the Head of Charity, who provides leadership and vision, ensures that its activities are underpinned by prayer, and that this work remains central to the ministry of St Aldates.

As the Head of Charity, you will drive the charity's mission and vision alongside the Board, ensuring our community receives the best possible support.

You will have a heart for those who have been marginalised, and experience of running a business or charity. Your role will be to lead staff and volunteers in the vision and manage funds and key projects. Partnering with others across other charities, key stakeholders and donors you will become a strong ambassador for the charity.

Brighton & Hove LGBT Switchboard connects and supports people in need across Sussex. Originally set up as a helpline in 1975, we've grown to deliver a wide range of essential services for our community.

This exciting new role will be supporting Switchboard to continue innovating, developing and delivering services, by and for LGBTQ people in Sussex.

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated, experienced fundraiser to oversee and drive forward all of our income generation. This post will work closely alongside our various teams and projects to raise awareness of our work among potential supporters. The postholder will be responsible for building sustainable and diverse income streams through regular giving, bid writing, events, and corporate partnerships. You will establish engaging supporter journeys that maintain long-term relationships with regular donors, high net worth supporters, and corporate clients.

Here's the person specification for the role:

• At least 2 years of experience of proven success in a fundraising role.
• Detailed knowledge of at least one of the following: trusts and foundations / individual giving / community / corporate fundraising.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to engage and enthuse audiences through a broad range of communications channels.
• Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating events, projects and/or campaigns.
• Leadership experience - this could be in work or elsewhere, with staff, projects, volunteers or communities.
• Project management and organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise and work in a self-directed manner.
• Understanding of LGBTQ+ communities.
• Ability and willingness to help with organisational events such as Pride or conferences several times a year.
• Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Ability to build effective working relationships with frontline staff, volunteers, service users and partner organisations.
• Numerate; able to understand, monitor and manage budgets and other financial information and systems.
• A strong belief in Switchboard's vision, mission and values.
