Galop, the UK’s LGBT+ anti-abuse charity, is seeking an individual with a background in finance, and a proven ability to manage projects, a team and relationships with stakeholders. Galop works directly with thousands of LGBT+ people who have experienced abuse and violence every year. We specialise in supporting victims and survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, hate crime, and other forms of abuse including honour-based abuse, forced marriage, and so-called conversion therapies. We are a service run by LGBT+ people, for LGBT+ people, and the needs of our community are at the centre of what we do.

About the Role

As the Financial Controller you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and report into the Chief Executive Officer. You will lead a small team and manage the relationship with our existing outsourced finance team, payroll provider and auditors to deliver high quality professional finance services to the charity. You will be responsible for the financial systems and processes and ensuring the quality and timeliness of work delivered.

Galop has gone through a period of rapid growth and you will be continuing the work to align its financial practices to its new operating model. Personally, you will be resilient and driven to develop, implement and improve financial policies. You will be working with the Treasurer and SLT to improve financial management and controls. Your financial analysis and reporting skills will be exceptional and you’ll have the ability to manage people setting clear goals and priorities for your team whilst providing support and challenge where needed.

You will work closely with other teams to establish regular, clear, and consistent channels of communication at all levels within the organisation. You will build and maintain strong relationships with senior managers and their teams and will; improve the understanding of charity’s performance; influence decision-making; deliver analysis and insight on business opportunities and support options and scenarios planning including funding applications.

Co-Production Community Engagement Lead

The Role

About the Role

You will be responsible for updating and maintaining the HR database, so it is essential that you have worked on a HRIS, producing regular reports and management information.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as first point of contact for system and process queries including holiday, sickness, leavers and internal transfers.
• ‘Technical expert’ for the HR system providing support and coaching to HR colleagues and new users, reporting any required fixes, testing and support continuous development of the HR system.
• Support and maintenance of HR software including the inputting, updating and transferring of data.

About You

To be successful in the role of you will need to be proficient in Excel and enjoy producing complex data analytics. You will have great communication skills and be committed to the values of the organisation.

Some of the key skills and experience you will need to bring with you include:

• Experience in working within a human resources team, primarily in areas such as HR systems, management information and HR metrics.
• A working knowledge of HR systems, databases and have worked on a HRIS.
• Experience of prioritising and analysing large datasets, detecting and correcting errors, interpreting and reporting/presenting results in a meaningful way.
• Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation, formula writing, data visualisation, pivot tables and data filtering.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to always maintain a high level of accuracy and numeracy.

You will be confident working with HR systems, data and enjoy compiling figures and analytics and present this data in an accurate and meaningful way, so attention to detail is essential. You will play a key role in the future development of the HR system (Civica HR).

The Role

With an eye for detail, you will use your project management skills to analyse the performance of social media content, refining and improving content through iteration.

We require a Counsellor to provide counselling interventions and family support services in schools across the Diocese of Salford according to each school’s formal agreement.

The role requires you to liaise and work with parents and families to ensure that the child/young person’s needs are being met and any issues that arise are being addressed appropriately. This will also include providing support and guidance to school staff on these matters.

You must have knowledge of safeguarding guidelines and risk factors in relation to working with children and young people and be able to respond accordingly by following the locality safeguarding procedures and ensure that priority is given to the Safeguarding Policy and Procedures in all work undertaken. You must also support the school staff with safeguarding.

You must have competent IT skills, be confident with systems, complete reports, maintain records and manage confidential data and be able to review and obtain feedback on the support in place for the children and young people and provide this information back to the schools and Caritas Schools’ Service as required.

You must also be able to make autonomous clinical decisions about own professional practice and approaches and partake in supervision one to one, clinical and group reflective supervision with other counsellors. 

Registered counsellor status with the BACP or UKCP is essential. However, we will discuss experience and qualifications on a person-by-person basis if you are selected for an interview.  The salary includes accrued annual leave.

Location:

The Role

The Mental Health Support Worker will provide flexible, practical, holistic, and accessible support to Gypsies and Travellers across West Yorkshire to improve and promote mental wellbeing. You will be part of a small and dedicated mental health team at the organisation, contributing to its effective running through outreach and good communication with colleagues and members.  You will be working in partnership with other agencies in the field of mental health, the post holder will work to ensure increased accessibility to mental health support services, reflecting on and implementing best practices. The post holder will work within an agreed monitoring framework for the service and for the organisation.

About You

As Mental Health Support Worker you will need to live and breathe the charity’s values through your work and have the following experience/skills: 

• Mental health assessment skills including risk assessment and support planning
• Case management experience including managing referrals and case load to agreed targets and timescales
• Experience of working with people experiencing enduring mental health issues, mental distress and complex needs
• Experience of recording, monitoring and evaluation

Ideally, you will be a car driver with valid driving licence as the role may include meeting members, partners or external services in other venues in Leeds

The Role

The Membership Administrator plays a central role, working closely with the Member Events and Partnerships Manager, membership team and members.
