Areas of work will include:

• Supporting student-led volunteering and widening participation activities at King’s College London.
• Work in partnership with King’s College London Widening Participation (WP) Department to increase access to higher education for underrepresented learners.
• Working with other staff across KCLSU and the KCL Volunteering team to deliver an exciting and varied programme of volunteering opportunities for students.
• Develop and deliver the Buddy Scheme, a mentoring programme for 1st year widening participation students, aiming to improve their retention.
• Work with KCLSU student groups to design and deliver their own volunteering and / or widening participation volunteering projects in the local community.
• Lead & deliver on Student Volunteering Week, Volunteer Showcase and other engagement events
• Support with the delivery of KCLWP’s flagship programmes, K+ & King’s scholars, organising sessions which showcase KCLSU.
• Supervising student staff and volunteers where required.

The impact you will have

Becoming a Family Support Supervisor means you will be a part of a unique service that supports people with missing loved ones. You will be part of our dedicated Family Support Team providing emotional and practical support at every stage of the missing journey.

You will create a space where people experiencing the trauma of someone going missing can be supported in a calm, insightful and consistent manner. You will proactively support family members during challenging experiences. Your support will be both practical and emotional and can involve advice and advocacy so people can access the right service and support for them. Your approach to support will be based on an assessment of needs and the length of their missing incident / experience.

You will also be involved in Missing People’s family-focused events, peer support forum, online and social events and groups, engagement, and family opportunities for publicity in the media. You will be enthusiastic about hosting regular online social events, and we can provide training for you to develop the skills needed to do this if necessary.

About you

You will have an empathetic and trauma-informed approach to providing support to people over a period of time and be able to build and maintain professional and boundaried relationships with families who use our family support services.

You will need:

• experience of work on a helpline, crisis or advice service either as a volunteer or staff and/or advice or support work with children, vulnerable adults and/or families
• experience of casework, building medium- to long-term professional relationships with family members
• excellent communication skills including a high level of empathy
• the ability to maintain a calm and considered approach, to evaluate situations objectively, consult effectively and give appropriate support
• strong IT skills including databases and data entry and the ability to learn new systems quickly including learning to operate a digital 1-2-1 chat platform

This role is peripatetic, primarily based at the Barnsley Street 24/7 Community Mental Health Project, a pilot initiative in Tower Hamlets. It operates within a ‘No Wrong Door’ approach, ensuring fully integrated, community-based care, where individuals can access the right support regardless of how they engage with services.

About the opportunity:

The Tutor Communications Officer will work closely with the Communications and Media Manager to support all aspects of stakeholder communications and engagement at Action Tutoring. The role will require you to develop engaging and motivational content when communicating with our volunteer tutor network, schools and other stakeholders.

The Tutor Communications Officer will develop their data management and analytical skills, when evaluating the impact of communications and maintaining subscriber data. They will also develop detailed knowledge of our e-communications software (Campaign Monitor) to create precise and engaging email campaigns with accurate segmentation of recipients.

Key responsibilities of the role: 

• Work with Communications and Engagement teams to create impactful communications that recruit new tutors, re-engage lapsed volunteers, and convert former tutors into long-term charity supporters.

Pregnancy Sickness Support (PSS) is the only registered UK charity dedicated to improving care, treatment, and support for those affected by nausea and vomiting in pregnancy (NVP) and the severe form of the condition, Hyperemesis Gravidarum (HG). 1. Marketing

• Develop and deliver a marketing strategy to support fundraising, paid-for services and general awareness-raising goals.

Our Nightlight Service is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways.

We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our helpline, crisis centres, crisis cafes and a weekend Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary. As a member of our team you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach as to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect.

The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s (HMN) Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Services are:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.

About the Role

The Crisis Team Leader will be a key member of the Crisis Services management team, providing effective operational leadership delivering the Nightlight Café and Helpline services.

Purpose of Post

• Ensuring the delivery and development of quality crisis support services and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the provision.
• Provide management support to Café and Helpline Coordinators and support the Crisis Manager in ensuring practice within the service is safe, effective and person centred, as well as supporting the implementation of strategic service plans.

The Nuffield Family Justice Observatory is recruiting to the new role of Operations Administrator, which supports the effective operations of the organisation to ensure it can deliver programmes and projects which create impact for children and families. 

The Nuffield Family Justice Observatory (NFJO) is an organisation that seeks to improve the lives of children and families by using data and research to hold up a mirror to children’s and families’ experiences of family court and their circumstances pre- and post- court proceedings.

The Operations Administrator will support the NFJO in the management of processes relating to finance, human resources, events and information administration, working closely with the Executive Coordinator.

Additionally, the Operations Administrator will work closely with staff across the NFJO, making sure it is a collaborative and supportive place to work.

About the Role

The SWA CSO Constituency Manager will coordinate the advocacy support provided to CSO partners of SWA at national and regional level and the general communications provided to CSOs to engage effectively with the partnership.  The post holder will manage important projects in the SWA workplan, and strategic relationships within the partnership. The successful candidate will be an influencer, with capacity to engage in negotiations with partners and provide specialist advice and guidance both internally in the Secretariat, the SWA leadership and externally to partners.

• Coordinate the Civil Society Constituency to assist in carrying out the annual workplan in line with SWA strategic objectives and Results Framework
• Lead on in-country support to SWA Civil Society partners, networks, and INGO country chapters in 2024-25 priority countries on Heads of State Initiatives, including advocacy strategies and commitments building process
• Support internal and external communications to CSO partners and identify needs for support, including documenting impact, tailored press releases, advocacy letters, and digital support. About PVRI

PVRI is a small charity with a global reach. Our aim is to reduce the global burden of Pulmonary Vascular Disease (PVD) with a particular focus on Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) - a life-threatening and life-limiting condition that affects millions worldwide. 

PH can lead to heart damage and trigger symptoms like breathlessness, chest pain, poor growth, and severe difficulties exercising and carrying out normal daily tasks. Diagnosis and care aren’t readily available in many parts of the world, and even when it is, PH treatment can itself be challenging and life-changing. Although it’s estimated that PH affects 1% of the global population, it isn’t widely recognised or well-understood.

To change that, we bring together a fantastic network of energetic and committed PH doctors, academics, regulators, patients, and industry partners. Together we’re identifying and addressing the key challenges in global PH, educating the global workforce, and encouraging research. In practical terms, we:
