Job Title: Senior Manager / Manager - Corporate Partnerships and Events
Reporting To: Director of Corporate Partnerships & Fundraising

Location: London (expectation of minimum 3 days a week at our City of London office)
Salary Range: £38,000-£57,000 per annum (job title and salary both dependent on level of experience)
Street Child, one of the world's fastest growing children's charities, are searching for a high-quality corporate partnerships professional with events experience to help maximise the multi-layered opportunities flowing from the charity's unique relationship with Liberty Global plc.
Working directly into the Director of Corporate Partnerships & Fundraising the position will play a pivotal role in leading the strategic partnership delivery and fundraising events function for the Street Child/Liberty Global partnership, for which Liberty Global won 'Business of the Year' in the 2021 Third Sector Business Charity Awards. The role will:
1. Support excellent delivery of existing key pillars of the partnership with Liberty Global (e.g. annual 2-day European 'Big Ride' cycle/run/walk event; and spectacular Autumn London Fundraising Gala - with a combined attendance of 1,200+ & revenues of £2m+).
2. Explore and deliver on new activities and opportunities to further grow the quality and impact of the partnership, involving close collaboration with both internal and external Communications teams.
3. Work closely with our Partnership Development and New Business function to maximise the extraordinary potential of the warm introductions, often at a highly influential level, Liberty provide to their wider corporate community of subsidiaries, partners & vendors – spanning the tech, media, finance/banking, consulting, legal & other professional services spaces.
4. Support and lead on other cross-organisational events as required, including our Spring Gala and Christmas Carol Concert.
This is a phenomenal opportunity demanding a highly professional, strategic thinker and responsive fundraiser with strong relationship-building, and classic 'account management' skills. The role will suit an individual who thrives when working under pressure and with senior stakeholders and has had at least some experience in the delivery of major fundraising events. The ideal candidate will have experience managing partnerships involving both challenge events and gala dinners, and will also possess the propositional instincts, credibility and quality to recognise and successfully progress fresh opportunities.

The Role
In this role you will collaborate with the Corporate Partnerships Manager and Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships to develop and implement corporate fundraising initiatives for Thames Valley Air Ambulance. Women V Cancer is a unique partnership between Dream Challenges, Breast Cancer Now and Ovarian Cancer Action. Together, we have raised more than £20 million in fundraising across a portfolio of one day mass participation cycling events and overseas multi-day cycling challenges.
The partnership has big aspirations for growth and is looking for someone to join as a Fundraising and Partnerships Officer with key responsibilities in relationship management across the partners, reporting and analysis, events marketing, and participant stewardship.

Key Areas
Marketing and stewardship
- Increase participant numbers on events through comprehensive and diverse marketing campaigns.
- Assist in digital advertising of events including creations of social media campaigns and PPC.

Relationship management

Reporting and analysis
- Work with the Marketing team and representatives from each of the charities to undertake campaign reporting, as well as post-event analysis including, but not limited to, audience insight and feedback, engagement and attendance rates, and fundraising per participant.
- Establishing a clear payment schedule for both sides for marketing contributions and donations.
- Track performance including registration numbers and income – reporting back to all parties.
- Undertake analysis work to improve understanding of current audience demographics and their interests, reviewing this regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Undertake regular competitor analysis work to scope trends and gaps in the marketplace – looking at how we benchmark ourselves against our competitors.
- Support on the strategic planning devised by all partners, providing insight learnt from the portfolio and audience analysis to help shape this.
General
- Keep up to date with sector knowledge to ensure best practice.
- Identify new trends and scope out new product development.
- Support all elements of event delivery (including volunteer recruitment, training weekends), attending UK and overseas events when required.
- Help identify and build relationships with relevant celebrities or influencers to contribute to the Women V Cancer marketing strategy

As a Corporate Partnerships Executive, you will:
- Support & Stewardship: Provide excellent account management and develop comprehensive stewardship plans for corporate donors of up to around £20K and lots of opportunity in the pharmaceuticals sector.
- Research & Identify: Assist in identifying and researching new business opportunities for our corporate pipeline.
- Collaborate & Create: Work with the Development team to create cases for support and funding proposals.
- Administrative Excellence: Manage mailings, maintain donor database records, and support fundraising events and campaigns.
- Overseas Events: Represent the organisation at national & international conferences, networking with new and existing corporate donors in places such as San Diego, Madrid and Copenhagen.

The Role
As our Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will identify and approach businesses that wish to support a Yorkshire charity and contribute to the advancement of worldwide research to find cures for cancer. You will build strong, ongoing partnerships with businesses and their employees based upon a mutual desire to help each other meet goals and objectives
Supporting the Head of Fundraising, you will develop Yorkshire Cancer Research’s portfolio of business partnerships and deliver exceptional levels of tailored engagement and stewardship.
Specifically, you will:

Build an in-depth knowledge and understanding of businesses motivations and requirements of a charity partner. Translate these insights into compelling and attractive offers for potential charity partners.

Work with colleagues across the charity (e.g. in the marketing and the events teams) to create offers that can be clearly and convincingly presented to businesses (e.g. Corporate Social Responsibility fulfilment, charity of the year, employee talks about cancer, team-building fundraising events, support for cancer awareness months and payroll giving).

Oversee the delivery of events and campaigns, ensuring the needs and expectations of businesses are properly understood by internal stakeholders and can be achieved.

Research Yorkshire businesses to identify those (target organisations) that share the charity’s values and ethos, then approach these organisations to develop a pipeline of partners with the potential to form lasting, mutually beneficial relationships.

Meet with leaders of target organisations to listen to what they require of a charity partner and establish whether Yorkshire Cancer Research can fulfil their needs.

Develop high quality proposals and plans to support business partners with activities that will appeal to them based upon their needs and specify the support Yorkshire Cancer Research expects so that the partnership will prove mutually beneficial.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:

To have a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, or
proven experience working in a similar role at a similar level.

We are looking for a talented new business manager with a creative approach to utilise Anthony Nolan’s assets to generate income from across the private sector. This role will play a key role in delivering Anthony Nolan’s ambitious, new, life-saving strategy by securing high-value corporate partnerships, as well as maintaining their own pipeline of new business prospects.
What you will bring to the role:
- A proven track record of building, securing and developing five and six figure commercial, charity of the year and/or strategic corporate partnerships and corporate donations.
