Founded in 1685, the Royal Dragoon Guards (RDG) is an armoured cavalry regiment based in Warminster, Wiltshire The Regiment has a rich history, with strong historical roots in Ireland and Yorkshire. We are looking for a talented individual to join the Royal Dragoon Guards as our Head of Engagement and Fundraising. In this pivotal role, you will drive engagement, communications and fundraising activity across the regimental family of around 15,000 soldiers, veterans and their families, with the aim of supporting our regimental mission and enhancing our charitable activities. About the Role

Reporting to the Regimental Secretary, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engagement, communications and fundraising strategies that resonate with serving soldiers and officers, veterans and their families, as well as with external supporters such as corporate partners, trusts, and the general public. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering strong relationships and generating income for the Regimental Charity, ensuring we meet the core objectives of our Regiment.

Key Accountabilities

•  Develop and implement a comprehensive communications plan tailored to our regimental family and supporters.
• Develop and use multiple communications channels including website, social media (Instagram, Facebook, etc.), digital newsletters, events, media, and direct communications to increase engagement and awareness.
• Create and execute a robust fundraising plan with a focus on individual giving (including legacies), major donors, trusts, and corporate partnerships.
• Build and nurture strong, systematic relationships with donors and supporters, ensuring ongoing commitment and loyalty.
• Act as the public face of the Regiment, effectively communicating our mission, impact and fundraising needs at public events, conferences, and in media engagements.
• Develop systems, processes, and policies that underpin an efficient fundraising operation, including the implementation and management of a state-of-the-art CRM system for accurate supporter data.

Job Title: Rural Programme Coordinator – based in Liberia & Sierra Leone

Role Purpose:

• Oversee Street Child’s rolling school construction programme in Liberia and Sierra Leone.
• Support in-school, community engagement, and economic empowerment activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Reporting & Programme Funding Engagement – 30%

• Review narrative and financial quarterly reports from country teams and provide feedback.
• Lead the consolidation of narrative reports for various donors.
• Ensure regular information flow to communications and fundraising teams.
• Support income-generation efforts, including drafting funding proposals and donor visits.

2. Programme Management – 35%

• Collaborate with national partners, Government, and community stakeholders to identify and assess school construction needs.
• Ensure quality and timely implementation of school construction programming.
• Develop systems to track progress against key milestones and address challenges.
• Train and guide partner staff to ensure the effective use of programme documents and tools.
• Monitor safeguarding policies and support feedback loops with partners and participants.

3. Finance & Procurement – 20%

• Oversee the procurement process, ensuring value for money in selecting contractors.
• Work with finance colleagues to compile financial reporting for programme donors.
• Support teams in compiling requisitions in line with programme forecasts and budgets.

4. Other – 15%

• Provide surge support across Street Child’s programme portfolio.

The primary role is to provide the mother with emotional, physical, moral, and educational support. The successful candidate will train as a Doula (if not already trained) and will assist, support and work in collaboration with the Midwife and a wider multidisciplinary team (MDT) in order to provide a safe and holistic, trauma informed approach to person centred care.

Elayos Doulas do not advise, but take time to get to know their clients. They provide support to enable women to make informed decisions about their maternity care, filling a role that parents and families have always needed. The doula is there to listen, empower and not judge. Offering flexible, practical and emotional support in homes as well as in hospitals. The charity’s mission is to make data work for nature. The Better Biodiversity Data (BBD+1) programme is a bold new step towards transforming how biodiversity data is managed, accessed and used to support conservation, planning and policy decisions in Scotland.

The Talent Set are delighted to be working with a fantastic health charity to find their next Supporter Engagement Officer.

The charity offers a flexible working environment, with hybrid working 3x per week from their office in North London.

As a Supporter Engagement Officer, you will be able to proactively engage, build relationships and provide high levels of stewardship to a variety of supporters. You will be responsible for day-to-day engagement with a large portfolio of supporters, as well as thanking and engaging with new individual supporters and fundraisers as they are introduced to the charity. You will play a key role in engaging and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and, with support, you will manage and develop the Individual Giving pipeline. You will play an instrumental part in creatively engaging supporters to get involved in our high-value campaigns, events and regular giving programme

Key Responsibilities:

• Play an active role in ensuring we provide first-class supporter care to individual donors and fundraisers – in person, on the phone, via email and social media.

• Ensure that supporters receive timely and relevant thank you messaging, correspondence and updates about the work of the charity.

• Supply supporters with fundraising materials and promotional collateral as and when required.

• Use the database effectively to ensure that supporters are correctly engaged with and thanked for their support.

• Work with the Senior Head of Community and Supporter Engagement & Partnerships to develop a rigorous approach to insights that support the development of the fundraising programme.

• Develop and implement rich supporter journeys that help build lifelong engaged relationships with supporters.

• Develop data systems that are fully integrated and allow us to robustly develop stand out supporter led journeys and engagement programmes.

Person Specification: 

• Experience of Supporter Care or Individual giving fundraising, or else transferable skills from another sector.

• Experience of day-to-day management of a supporter/customer database.

• Experience and understanding of social media.

• Experience of establishing and managing effective external relationships.

• Dedicated to maintaining regular communication with supporters/customers to facilitate the development of long-term relationships.

The CEO (Clerk to the Corporation) will ensure the smooth running of the Charity, enabling it to meet its aims and objectives and comply with relevant law and regulations.  The successful candidate will be the main contact for external agencies such as, solicitors, auditors, bankers and investments managers, insurance brokers and local authorities, as necessary, as well as the main internal contact between the Trustees and the other staff and residents.

This is a significant and rewarding role that will require the post holder to demonstrate the following:

• Positive outcomes in a demanding senior management position, possibly in the third sector, housing, or running a business
• Experience in managing stakeholder relationships both internally and externally and the capacity to be an ambassador for the charity
• Strategic thinking: ability to assess complex information and decide on a course of action
•  Financial literacy and budget management
• Experience of project management, delegating and supervising as needed
• Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills

The successful candidate will advise the Trustees on matters of governance to ensure compliance with current legislation and Charity Commission guidance.  You will arrange and attend Trustee Board and subcommittee meetings both preparing the agendas and taking accurate minutes, acting upon the decisions of the Trustees.  You will also be responsible for managing and reviewing the work of a small team, identifying any training needs and ensure their wellbeing.  Awareness of the welfare of residents overseeing community engagement and social activities, dealing with safeguarding issues, grievances and arrears, when required.  Oversee the repair and maintenance of all the Charity’s properties, engaging with commercial tenants and others as necessary.

This is an ideal opportunity for a senior leader with previous experience of leading a team, managing budgets and projects, multi-tasking and who has a passion for meeting housing needs.

Through effective team management and leadership, and collaboration with colleagues, this role enables a large team of expert practitioners to deliver the charity’s mission of providing high quality, educational, relevant, safe and impactful Farm Discovery visits and related activities for disadvantaged children across England and North Wales.

• Lead our dispersed Farm Discovery team of expert practitioners, ensuring all our processes - recruitment, training, administration, reporting, information management, communication, budgeting, evaluation and of course our delivery - enable us to achieve amazing things with primary school communities in disadvantaged areas around the country?
