Duties and key responsibilities
Support and Information
- To deliver the Sarcoma UK Support Line, a confidential telephone and email support and information service for anyone affected by sarcoma. This includes:
- Providing individual information and support to service users on sarcoma and related issues, by telephone, email and other media as the service develops.
- Adhering to quality standards, confidentiality, Sarcoma UK policies and the standard operating procedures of the Support Line.
- Under direction from the Director of Research, Policy and Support and Support Line Manager, contribute to Sarcoma UK’s social and other media as appropriate.
- To provide clinical input to the development of the charity’s information materials including the revision of existing information materials and the development of new information products.
- To provide input to the clinical content of the charity’s website.
- To raise awareness of the charity’s information and support services within the health professional field.

Maintain Professional Knowledge
- Keep up to date with treatment and care of sarcoma through research and review of publications, horizon scanning, and attending study days and conferences, and disseminate this information within the charity.

Purpose of the Senior Quality Assurance Officer role:
As Senior Quality Assurance Officer, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in conducting and innovating Women’s Aid’s National Quality Standards (NQS) offer for member services. Sitting within Women’s Aid’s busy Membership Team, the postholder will successfully lead in supporting member services to continually improve and evidence good quality specialist responses to survivors’ needs in local service provision and will support the internal team alongside external consultant assessors to deliver a strong quality framework that reflects the diversity, and complex work of our members. A key time for Women’s Aid to connect our policy work, our membership and our strategic campaigning work around the standards that fully represents the unique value of the membership body.
Key duties and responsibilities of the Senior Quality Assurance Officer:
- To be responsible for the coordination of delivery of Women’s Aid National Quality Standards assessments including ensuring assessment processes are completed in a timely manner.
- Scheduling Quality Assessment Panels including recruitment of panelists. This will include responsibility for ensuring terms of reference are fulfilled and ensuring potential conflicts of interest are identified and addressed.
- Presenting assessments to the Quality Assessment Panel in the unavoidable absence of the assessor and notetaking including recording outcomes, actions and decisions where required.
- To support the Chair of the Quality Assessment Panel in conducting panel meetings and highlight areas of risk or conflict to the Chair in advance of meetings.
- Be first point of contact for dealing with appeals and complaints, managing low to middle-risk complaints and escalating to the Membership Resolution Manager as required for high risk complaints.
- Responsibility for allocation of assessments to internal and consultant assessors ensuring target dates are met and operational considerations, such as location and conflict of interests, are considered.
- To conduct quality standards assessments of domestic abuse services, including reviewing evidence, making site visits, writing assessment reports and presenting cases to the Quality Assessment Panel.

- To work across WAFE to promote the Women’s Aid National Quality Standards to commissioners and government as the ‘gold standard’ quality framework for services working with women and child survivors of domestic violence.
What we are looking for in our Senior Quality Assurance Officer:
- Knowledge of quality frameworks appropriate to domestic violence services.
- Knowledge and proven experience of the principles of quality assurance and good practice in delivering accreditation processes.
- A very good understanding of the experiences and needs of women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence and violence against women and girls and the intersectionality that impacts this
- Thorough understanding of the role of specialist services supporting women and children at risk of violence against women and girls
- Experience of writing and producing briefings and reports

Working in ODI’s Public Affairs and Communications (PAC) department, the Digital Communications Intern will support the digital team with producing and marketing content for ODI’s core digital channels – spanning the website, social media and newsletters.
The internship presents a fantastic opportunity to get experience of working on different aspects of digital communications, with a particular focus on writing and dissemination.

The Position

Lepra is dedicated to addressing leprosy and lymphatic filariasis (LF) and their consequences through direct support, advocacy, and the promotion of inclusive communities. Purpose & Objectives of the Consultancy

The Head of Governance is responsible for the effective and efficient running of the key governance bodies of the Diocese of London and its main charity, the London Diocesan Fund, providing strategic governance, constitutional and compliance advice to the Bishop of London, General Secretary and Trustees, offering first line advice and training service to deaneries and parishes on synodical governance.
Job responsibilities
- Provide strategic support to Trustees aligned with the Diocese's Vision.
- Ensure adherence to governance standards and oversee Synod planning.
- Stay updated on governance trends, offering strategic advice to stakeholders.
- Manage meetings, ensuring inclusivity and constitutional integrity.
- Lead election processes and facilitate member development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Offer advisory support to clergy and oversee leadership development.
- Manage operational aspects, including line management and financial responsibilities.

Person Specification
Essential
- Experience of working in a pressured governance environment and to tight deadlines.
- Educated to degree level or experience of governance in a charity or not for profit environment.
- IT proficiency (MS Office suite)
- Empathetic to the mission and values of the Church of England.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Willing and able to work evenings and weekends as required.
Desirable
- Experience of working in value-based organisation.
- Fellow or Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute, or comparable experience.

Scope of role
The Head of Programme & Organisational Development is also one of two Co-Leads of On Purpose London. As such, they are jointly responsible for the London Associate Programme in partnership with the Co-Lead of On Purpose London who focuses on Business Development & Community. We find this co-leadership model offers a useful balance of mutual support and challenge, role-modelling how we believe leadership should operate.
You would be part of our cross-organisational leadership team of six city leads and the CEO. This group is a source of valuable peer support and a forum in which to collaborate, coordinate and learn together, through which you will contribute to strategy and organisational development and lead and support specific cross-city improvement initiatives.
Whilst this role focuses on the On Purpose London programme delivery and organisational development, it is a collaborative role with shared responsibility for all of the London team and operations.

Motivate and empower the London team and foster a healthy team culture - Set vision and strategy for On Purpose London alongside the co-lead and in collaboration with the International CEO and other Cities. Support the development of Associates into impactful systems change leaders - Responsible for the overall quality of the Associate journey, envisioning and improving the Associate experience, and managing key moments including matching, induction and residential. Build engagement with our wider ecosystem of trainers, mentors & coaches - Ensure the recruitment, onboarding, matching and ongoing management of coaches and mentors throughout the year to support Associates’ growth and development.

Lead the recruitment of high-calibre Associates from a diverse range of backgrounds - Oversee a rigorous assessment and selection process including scoring applications, training interviewers, interviewing candidates and managing the pipeline of potential candidates before and after offers.
