We're seeking an experienced and inspirational leader to Chair our Independent Advisory Group (IAG) whose role is to provide independent advice to the Travalyst Board and Secretariat on the delivery of Travalyst’s strategy. As Chair, you'll provide independent strategic guidance, critical insights, and expert advice to shape Travalyst’s initiatives and impact. This role requires a commitment of approximately 1-2 days per month over an initial two-year term (with the possibility of renewal).

Your Impact

• Set the IAG’s agenda and priorities, in close collaboration with the Travalyst CEO and Board Chair.

• Chair a minimum of six virtual meetings per year, bringing all IAG Members together to share learning and provide strategic business updates; ensuring that divergent opinions are heard and respected, and that the group forms a collective view when needed.

• Ensure that the IAG’s advice is timely, relevant, and delivered appropriately to the Board and/or Secretariat.

• Attending Travalyst Board meetings to give updates on IAG activities, performance and learnings (likely 1-2 per year).

• Attending Travalyst’s Annual Convening (likely 2 days per year, usually in Europe).

• Regular strategy and operations meetings with the Secretariat and Travalyst COO.

• Regular status meetings and 1:1 check-ins with IAG Members.

• Regular status meetings with the Travalyst Secretariat.

• Ad hoc meetings, calls, reading/ document reviews, and email exchanges.

• Be accountable for the performance of the IAG.

• Champion Travalyst’s work externally.

About the IAG

Our IAG is comprised of a global group of some of the world’s leading travel and sustainability experts. The role of the IAG is to provide independent advice to the Travalyst Board and Secretariat on the delivery of Travalyst’s strategy. Its primary remit is the expert review of Travalyst’s product roadmaps, including impact evaluation. In addition, the IAG’s proactive advice is invited on any topic, including Travalyst’s strategy and theory of change.

The IAG currently has six members, appointed as a core group of experts with a systemic view of travel and tourism. We expect this group to grow to 8-10 members during 2025/6, to fill specific gaps in expertise. IAG Members are appointed by the Secretariat, in consultation with the IAG Chair.

Where needed, the IAG may form a task group (including external subject matter experts) with a clear, time-bound remit. External subject matter experts are appointed by the Secretariat, in consultation with the IAG Chair.

The IAG sets its agenda and priorities through close collaboration between the IAG Chair, Travalyst CEO, and Travalyst Board Chair. It is accountable to its Terms of Reference, which are approved by the Board.

Who you are

You are a visionary leader passionate about sustainability and global travel transformation.

You bring:

• Exceptional people and leadership skills, with a talent for managing nuanced discussion, driving consensus, and building trust.

• Strong understanding of the travel and tourism space is preferable, to inform robust decisions on complex and nuanced topics.

Ideally, you have one or more of the following:

• Strong chairing experience, particularly of groups with divergent and nuanced opinions.

• Existing profile and credibility with sustainability stakeholders, in line with the ambition and future scale of Travalyst.

• Good knowledge of, and networks across the global travel and tourism industry, or sustainability data technology, or similar industry.

• Good knowledge of research methods, and the ability to discern robust arguments made from research.

Support available to you as IAG Chair

Operational support from the Secretariat will include:

• Ensuring the smooth operational running of the IAG to deliver its agenda, priorities and roadmap.

• Preparing, supporting and debriefing IAG meetings, and managing records of key advice and decisions.

• Leading recruitment and onboarding of new IAG Members and/or subject matter experts.

• Monitoring IAG governance processes and performance, and making recommendations for improving processes.

Honorarium

The IAG Chair will be offered an annual honorarium, in recognition of the critical role played by the IAG and the time commitment required for full participation and leadership.

Additionally, pre-approved reasonable out-of-pocket expenses can be reimbursed, where required.

You will be taking up a permanent role as Centre Leader at our new IntoUniversity centre in Hartlepool. You will have responsibility for setting up, launching and running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery.

A substantial element of this role is delivering our education programme to children and young people aged 7-18, so you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people, including leading a class of 30 from the front, working with small teams of children and providing one-to-one support.

About the role

Working at a strategic level, you will have overall responsibility for identifying and securing the income streams to support the activity of this newly formed organisation (merger of 3 local Citizens Advice offices), working the Chief Executive and other members of the management team. You will actively monitor the advice landscape and stay informed about industry innovations and emerging trends, proactively identifying opportunities to integrate relevant advancements into the organisation.

You will also be responsible for the line management of the Fundraising Officer, Communications Officer and the Research and Campaigns Coordinator.

Role Responsibilities:

• With the CEO, design a sustainable funding model and a diverse project portfolio for CAOX that guards against over reliance on a single funder or work type.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities that generate income and are aligned with the organisational and strategic aims.
• Create a standardised fee structure for core services to ensure consistency and transparency when preparing bids and proposals
• Negotiate contracts and service level agreements to ensure the work scope aligns with contract value.

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legacy Officer to join our team. You would be responsible for your share of the legacy administration cases in the UK, ensuring that gifts left to IFAW in Wills are handled efficiently, sensitively, and in accordance with legal and organisational standards. Role and Responsibilities

· Managing a caseload of legacy gifts: This includes pecuniary, residuary and life interest legacies, ensuring IFAW receives its full entitlement in a timely manner. This may include a small selection of contentious cases.

· Working closely with solicitors, executors, and beneficiaries: You’ll provide accurate and sensitive support throughout the probate process, building trust and ensuring a smooth experience for all parties involved.

· Maintaining meticulous records and reports: You’ll ensure accurate financial and contact records are kept, reports are generated on time, and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements is met.

· Providing recommendations for action: You’ll provide your suggestions to move forward any legacy case where action needs to be sanctioned by management or Trustees, or where there may be a risk to the charity's reputation.

· Assisting with monthly/annual reconciliation and audit: This includes following our financial rules to make appropriate accruals, adjustments, and provide audit-ready case files.

· Liasing with other teams within IFAW: When appropriate, you’ll work collaboratively with other teams, such as Finance, Donor Relations or the Legal team, to ensure a seamless process for legacy gifts, and to promote the legacy team’s recognition and standing in the organisation through internal engagement.

· Staying up to date on relevant legislation and best practices: You’ll be a member of the ILM and regularly keep abreast of changes in the world on legacy case management, to ensure IFAW’s legacy administration remains efficient and compliant.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· At least 1 year of experience in legacy administration or estate management: You’ll have a strong understanding of probate laws, Wills, trust, and estate administration. Experience of using FirstClass is desirable.

· Achieved or willing to work towards certification: You have or will work towards gaining the ILM’s Certificate in Charity Legacy Administration (CiCLA).

Managing Director, Home-Start Wandsworth (HSW)

The Role:

The Managing Director sets the vision and strategy for HSW. They lead on income generation and profile raising; working with local stakeholders, building partnerships, and growing funding relationships to achieve that.  Working closely with the Board of Trustees, the MD will set annual objectives alongside long term goals - whilst providing vision and leadership to the team. Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Grants Assistant with proven interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a small team. You will have the confidence to work independently, with the ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks as well as contribute more widely to the team’s activities.

You will be hard-working, reliable and able to work collaboratively with a wide range of colleagues across both the Charity and with staff across different hospital departments, ensuring that the reputation of the Charity and the Charity Team remains high by always working in a professional manner.

This post provides a key supporting role in the administration of the Charity, and you will provide finance and administrative support to the grant management processes to ensure that applications, approvals and payments are up to date and accurate and comply with charity policy and legislation.

An important aspect of this role will be in supporting the Grants Manager to implement the Charity’s new Grants strategy and deliver a successful grant-funding programme across the Trust, working alongside colleagues to ensure positive outcomes and the wider sharing of good news stories about grant awards.

You will be a point of contact for all grant queries and may need to guide claimants to manage the process, requiring a “helping hand” approach where necessary.

The successful candidate will have experience in an administrative or financial role, which ideally will have involved using online financial systems or databases.

Experience in the charity sector and knowledge of grant award processes would be an advantage.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITES

• Processing grants-related payments, working alongside the Grants Manager and other finance teams in the Trust, to investigate and resolve any discrepancies.
   
• Exporting grant and payment information from the Grants system and assisting with the reconciliation of the grants and the accounts systems as required.
   
• Maintaining the grants database and other records as necessary, ensuring systems are kept up to date and correspondence for grant applicants and suppliers are filed and stored in accordance with appropriate Data Protection requirements.
   
• Assisting in the processing, monitoring and follow-up of charity grants, including corresponding with grant applicants to obtain appropriate information to support the grant making process.
   
• Produce monitoring reports for the Senior Management Team and Grants Manager.
   
• Provide support and guidance to NUH staff and to the Charity’s fund advisors, offering advice on appropriate charitable funds expenditure in line with Charity Guidelines and the Charity Commission’s donor intent guidelines and legislation.
   
• Liaison with hospital staff and charity fundraisers in relation to donor intent, including assisting with the fulfilment of Charity Grants and procurement of small items.
   
• Be the first point of contact for small grants, participating in Trust engagement and providing support to applicants and grantees as required. Deputising with the administration of the grant applications and awards process in the absence of the Grants Manager.
   
• Undertake other work in support of the Charity’s objectives and any other duties identified by the Charity Executives and/or Grants Manager.
  
   

 GENERAL DUTIES
 

• Providing effective day to day administrative support covering the Charity phone line and jointly monitor the Charity Grants inbox ensuring all emails are answered or distributed as required.
   
• Providing cover arrangements in relation to general charity administration including opening post, ordering stationery, credit card purchasers, receiving and counting donations (cheque and cash) from staff and other donors in accordance with charity procedure.
   
• Meet and greet donors and visitors as required, and ensuring that a customer-focused approach is adopted at all times to maximise the opportunities of encouraging donor giving.
   
• Assisting new members of staff and providing absence cover for other Finance team members as agreed from time-to-time.

The Bread and Butter Thing (TBBT) - whose mobile food clubs give access to low cost weekly shops and affordable food to communities starved of money, food and resources - is seeking a passionate, strategic and proactive fundraising leader to join their dynamic team at a pivotal time in the charity’s growth.

The charity’s vision is to make life more affordable, to build strong communities and to reduce food waste. Since launching in 2016, The Bread and Butter Thing has grown rapidly – now reaching over 100,000 people through more than 140 community hubs across the North of England, with an annual income of circa £6 million. As well as tackling food poverty, the charity creates spaces that foster community connection, reduce social isolation, and improve general wellbeing.

This role will take a lead on growing and diversifying income from trusts, foundations, corporates, major donors and public sector sources, and will be responsible for championing a culture of partnership, building meaningful relationships and helping to amplify the organisation’s impact and story.

The Philanthropy Lead is central to TBBT’s ambitions to grow their geographical reach and raise their national profile to reach more communities, working to shape and deliver a high-value fundraising strategy, lead multi-sector funding bids, and work hand in hand with delivery teams, partners, and stakeholders. As the subject expert in fundraising, the post-holder will be hands-on in developing proposals and cases for support, managing key accounts, and working as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team to identify and progress opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a proven record of building relationships and securing income from high-value sources, including trusts and foundations, corporates, major donors and public bodies. You will have experience of developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies with measurable outcomes. A strong understanding of the funding landscape for community development, poverty reduction, and/or food justice would be an advantage.

The Role

As a Partnerships & Philanthropy Executive, you will play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of high-value supporters across corporate, philanthropic, and charitable trust income streams. You will be a key member of the Data & Insights team, responsible for ensuring our data is accurate, complies with all relevant legislation and helps the wider team to make informed data driven decisions.

You will be responsible for helping with the daily management and administration of the Dynamics CRM system and integrations with other systems, with a particular emphasis on supporting CPRE’s fundraising, supporter care, and campaigning activities. You will ensure data accuracy through regular data cleaning, improvements, and de-duplication processes.

In addition, you will provide timely and accurate data selections and create visual reports to support various organisational needs.

Using your mathematical knowledge and statistical tools you will analyse data, providing interpretation and understanding the numbers within the models. Through this you will support the fundraising team to extract value from our Data Sets by identifying correlations in customer behaviours and giving propensities, leveraging both internal and external data.

You will also work closely with the Finance Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with excellent analytical and processing skills who wants to take their first step in an analytical career.

The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation.
