About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our team covering Scotland.  Your role will require you to oversee and run the volunteer programme, including recruitment and training of volunteers to support the delivery of contracts.  You will also be supporting the Operational Managers to coordinate and promote VoiceAbilitiy’s volunteer work in the area to meet the needs of the service and those that volunteer.

About you

Desirably you will have some experience of volunteering or, working with volunteers/ vulnerable people, or delivering advocacy.  You will have a knowledge of advocacy in health, social care and other settings and an understanding of the issues affecting adult social care, disability, autism, and mental health service users.

You should also understand safeguarding in relation to volunteering and the people we work with and the social values of volunteering and volunteer projects.

You will be responsible for ensuring that we select the best volunteers for our roles; ensuring that they receive appropriate training and development to ensure that we are delivering the service required by our clients.

You will help to develop appropriate volunteer opportunities to meet the needs of our volunteering service and support the Operations Manager to coordinate and promote VoiceAbility’s volunteering work in Scotland.

You will lead on recruitment, ensuring that safe recruitment practice and appropriate checks are adhered to.  Matching prospective volunteers to appropriate opportunities for them to thrive in and facilitate group supervision and individual wellbeing checks.

We are seeking a talented Director of Programme Delivery and Operations, fully committed to our widening participation cause, to join the Senior Leadership Team in a pivotal role for a growing and ambitious charity. 

You will have responsibility for ensuring we are providing high quality programme delivery to young people across our centre network, that are centres are functioning effectively, and that targets are monitored and met. And of course, you will need to have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people and helping them achieve their ambitions.

The Director of Programme Delivery and Operations is a Senior Leadership Team position within the charity and reports into the Chief Operating Officer. The role is responsible for oversight of all centre programme delivery and performance across our network of 44 local learning centres (and growing).

We are a delivery organisation providing frontline educational services for young people. In a newly created role, YMCA Robin Hood Group are seeking an Operations Director to oversee our residential service for children in care.

You will bring operational excellence to this role as you lead and manage our Operations Managers and Registered Managers of our current home portfolio with an ambitious plan to expand this service so we can support more children and young people recover from the trauma they have experienced in their lives so far.

As a not-for-profit operator, we put the needs of children and young people ahead of everything else. Our priority is to enable these young people to ‘discover who they are and what they can become’.

The Role

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, this role will focus on providing an outstanding environment for children to thrive in whilst ensuring that we are compliant with OFSTED and other regulatory bodies.

Core Duties

• Ensure all aspects of service delivery in the residential homes comply with contractual, legislative and other necessary requirements.
• Create and implement robust policies and procedures for placements across all homes for looked after children, including oversight of quality assurance and ensuring all staff work in a way which prevents abuse and safeguards everyone. 
• Support and expand our children’s therapeutic care service, leading on contract negotiations for future placements, registration of new homes and supporting the Executive Director in introducing a continuum of care provision
• You will investigate any safeguarding concerns for the service area and to make informed, fair, and transparent decisions based on information obtained including the production of investigation reports with recommendations and outcomes.
• Maximise resources and overall occupation to ensure your budget is responsibly managed.
• Provide strong cause-centric leadership and management to Operations Managers, to provide the highest professional standards of care and support to children and young people in our services, ensuring that they thrive who in turn will manage Registered Managers across all regions.
• Work with Operational Managers within the service to develop strategies that support ongoing learning, staff engagement and alignment to the organisations culture
• By virtue of being part of a wider organisation with a wide range of other services, we would look for you to be a positive and active member of the organisation’s Senior Leadership Team, supporting and participating in YMCA initiatives, internal projects and community projects across the Group.

Your Background

With extensive experience in a children’s residential care setting in an Operational management role, you will bring to the role:

• Operational knowledge and expertise of working in and managing Children’s Residential / Children Leaving Care / Children Looked After sectors including experience of opening new residential homes
• Experience of the support of successfully implementing new services; involvement in sourcing funding streams; and some experience of writing funding bids and applications.
• Demonstrable experience of working with OFSTED and other regulatory bodies, quality assurance frameworks and assessment standards.
• Experience of managing a dispersed staff team including recruitment, training, sickness absence and managing performance – staff team size of 50+ staff members.
• Compassion, empathy and understanding for the work your teams do every day

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

The team will also develop a vibrant events programme, of craft workshops, art exhibitions, fashion collabs and more! We also work closely with local artists and universities. You will join an exciting team and collaborate to build a group of volunteers from all walks of life, raising money to fund Crisis’ work ending homelessness. Research and Development

• Work with the Head of Corporate Partnerships to scope and develop a new strategic programme to secure high-value income-generating charitable partnerships to help reach more young people

Pitching

About the role

You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive change management strategy, engaging stakeholders at all levels, and driving the successful transition to new processes, and ways of working to achieve enhanced performance and sustainability.

For this role, we are looking for candidates who can start within one to four weeks following the interview. 

What you’ll do:

• Develop and deliver a clear strategy based on the vision of the CFOO, that documents the need for change and details the future look of the directorate. Outline this in a detailed rationale document with the vision, including timelines, resources needed, and key milestones.
• Support the CFOO to develop function strategies for each of the operations functions and an accompanying transformation plan. Oversee the implementation of these change programmes, handing over to BAU leads by the end of the contact. There will be a particular focus on supporting establishing a Programme Management Office.
• Lead the development of an effective communication engagement plan covering all people and teams affected by the change, both directly and indirectly, and gather involvement from senior management and other affected parties
• Co-lead on developing a positive and dynamic culture during and post implementation of the transformation to ensure the success and support the building of new ways of working. 

What you’ll bring:

• Significant experience in delivering  organisational transformation programmes, and demonstrable experience of developing and writing change and transformation programme proposals that suit varying audiences
• Ability to present and disseminate messages to a wide ranging audience, with the experience of generating engagement  during a transformation programme and experience of navigating the people aspects 
• Willingness and ability to challenge senior leaders as a critical friend, to accelerate progress and transformative change. 
• Experience of modern, efficient, internal governance frameworks, ideally in a charity context. 
• Direct experience of setting up a Programme Management Office or similar function is desirable

This is a really exciting time to be joining the award-winning Asda Tickled Pink team in a role which is of huge importance to the delivery of the partnership. 2025 and 2026 will be monumental, as we celebrate one of the biggest and longest standing partnerships in the sector, marking £100m raised by 2025 and going big to celebrate our 30th anniversary in 2026. This partnership allows us to go above and beyond for people affected by breast cancer, and this role is a key part of that.

The role sits within the corporate partnerships team, specifically the Asda team, working alongside the head of Asda partnership and the Asda partnership officer.

As the day-to-day contact leading on the partnership’s large scale and multifaceted activations, you’re responsible for the £5m annual target. From ideation to delivery, you’re involved at every stage. This role also has increased capacity to innovate, looking at new initiatives enabling us to achieve and exceed partnership KPIs.

You’ll manage the income and expenditure budgets and restricted funding reporting of the partnership. Sharing updates, flagging risks and opportunities and proposing reforecasts for discussion with the head of Asda partnership.

This role will also manage the Asda partnership officer and therefore responsible for objective setting, personal development and ensuring partnership deliverables for this role are met.

About you

We’re looking for someone excited to take on a big partnership with the drive to deliver first class account management, matched with experience of managing large scale, and impactful strategic partnerships.

You can confidently and proactively manage internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You have experience in delivering partnership activations from fundraising to brand campaigns, managing multiple projects and stakeholders at any 1 time. You’ve a proven track record in efficiently managing budgets, reporting impact, mitigating risk and ensuring compliance in all you do, and you’ll have the experience or motivation to oversee the output and development of a direct line report too.

Your ability to work collaboratively across teams will help us to meet the needs of both Asda and the charity to achieve shared goals. Your creative thinking will help to overcome challenges and identify opportunities (financial or strategic) to maximise the partnership potential for Breast Cancer Now.

The Programme Manager role

Due to the continued expansion of our programmes, we are seeking a new team member to support our next period of growth.

You will be a consumate account manager to support our skills and employability programmes designed in partnership with industry. You will work collaboratively with our corporate and industry partners to support teachers and students in schools and further education institutions access a range of TTF educational programmes.

About the Role

Our Crisis Café Manager role in Milton Keynes involves coordinating and ensuring the effective and safe delivery of services in order to support the people of Milton Keynes. This will involve working with service users in a preventative way, deescalating crisis and leading a team of Crisis Recovery Workers & volunteers. The role will be part of a team made up of other managers within the Crisis Alternative Service.

Service Delivery

• Operate a service and ensure outcomes which supports individuals to deescalate crisis and develop strategies for recovery and increased wellbeing, in line with Mind BLMKs vision and values as well as contract requirements.
• Assessing need and suitability for the service in line with the access to services process, and undertaking 1:1s.
• To manage a relationship with the mental health trust which ensures effectiveness of the crisis pathways for those who need further support.
• Work with the Crisis Cafe management to ensure regular involvement of service users, volunteers and staff on local service delivery, organisational matters and wider mental health and crisis care strategies
• Maintain an effective workforce for the service in line with Mind BLMK’s HR policies, procedures and guidance (recruitment, line management, workload planning, support and development of crisis workers, peer support workers and volunteers).
