This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and motivated person to join us in the fight against cancer. This pivotal role will oversee the day to day management of the charity alongside running effective fundraising campaigns.
At The Cancer Treatment and Research Trust, our mission is to enable our consultants and scientists to translate laboratory research into clinical trials and new life-saving treatments.
Each year we fund studies into a wide variety of cancers which include ovarian, lung, urological & melanoma. We are also the only charity in the UK funding research into Gestational Trophoblastic Disease, a rare cancer that occurs during or after pregnancy.
About the Role
The successful candidate will oversee the day to management of the charity, ensure effective fundraising activity, provide support for the Board of Trustees and facilitate the smooth running of the charity. As part of this you will ensure the accounts are prepared in a timely way with the assistance of our book keeper and accountants. You will also work with our web-designer to ensure the website is kept up to date and the annual charity report and return are prepared and submitted on-time.
You will oversee all fundraising activity including maintaining existing campaigns and our CRM system, and provide excellent stewardship to supporters, responding to enquiries, thanking them in a timely manner and supporting supporters with their fundraising activities. You will have experience of a similar charity role and be passionate about fulfilling our mission to save lives through research.

Reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely with the National Leadership Team representative for national events, you will manage the events team to deliver excellent service and event support for all New Wine events. This exciting role involves overseeing all aspects of event production, from content development to logistics and delegate management. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the strategic vision and goals of the events are realised, delivering an outstanding experience for global audiences.
The Events Team exists to support New Wine delegates, volunteers, and staff with the initial planning, coordination, and delivery of all New Wine events held throughout the year. This includes two annual national events, the New Wine Festival and the New Wine Leadership Conference, as well as a number of smaller events such as the Reset Women’s Conference, Worship Nights, and Network Days.
Areas of Responsibility:
Event Team Leadership:

Line manage, train, and develop the events team, which consists of 5 individuals (one vacant), 3 of whom are direct reports.

Motivate the team, communicating effectively and building relationships internally and externally with key stakeholders and partners.

Event Planning:

Manage and oversee the New Wine events calendar to ensure that events are planned in a coordinated manner.

Liaise with specific event leadership teams to determine the vision, goals, and requirements for each New Wine event.

Set up and chair event planning meetings for national events, monitoring that planning is on schedule and within budget.

Support Event Managers in the planning and delivery of smaller events.

Manage external consultants and professionals who support with delivery of events including Production Project Manager and Technical Production Manager.
Event Delivery:

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Oversee the production, delegate and team experience on-site at any New Wine event. This includes managing the Production Project manager, front desk service team and back-office functions such as ticketing, accommodation, village allocation, telephone and email response, and volunteer team leader oversight and engagement.

Innovation Fund administration
- Provide administrative support for day-to-day operations of the Innovations Fund
- Implement project processes, including preparing and finalising contracts, coordinating payments, and maintaining project-related systems (e.g., tracking deliverables, activities, and invoices and expenditures)

In this exciting role, you will be responsible shaping and delivering Bonsucro´s communications strategy and overseeing the day-to-day management of a small communications function. A crucial part of this role is to ensure that colleagues, the Bonsucro board and external stakeholders are provided with tools and resources to confidently and effectively communicate about the organisation and its mission.
Bonsucro is the global sustainability platform and standard for sugarcane. Our purpose is to collectively accelerate the sustainable production and uses of sugarcane. We work with people and organisations across the sugarcane supply chain, including small scale farmers and some of the world’s biggest brands.
Climate change, human rights, farmer livelihoods, women’s empowerment, pesticide reduction, and water use are some of the issues that Bonsucro works on. As our Communications and Events Manager you will be expected to create narratives on these issues and link this to Bonsucro’s work on standards and certification, market development and collective action.
We are looking for someone with strong experience in strategy, planning and delivery of communications and events in a comparable organisation. You are versatile and stakeholder-oriented and comfortable working in a busy environment with multiple concurrent priorities, deadlines and activities. Your strength lies in creating compelling content and results-driven campaigns that supports the achievement of higher-level strategic goals. You bring a track record of turning very technical and complex information into compelling content and have some insight into agricultural production systems and/or Bonsucro’s countries of operation outside of the UK.

- Develop and execute effective communications strategies to continuously strengthen Bonsucro’s profile, reputation and, as a result, to attract new members and partners

Person Specification
Essential criteria
- Significant prior experience in development and implementation of communications strategies and a full range of media services, ideally in a global context
- Strong technical acumen in relation to all aspects of communications and events delivery
- Previous line-management experience and experience in managing moderate budgets
- Significant experience in writing, editing and publishing compelling content
- Proven ability to translate complex information into engaging campaigns and stories

We are looking for a full-time Shelter Coordinator to join our small and friendly team to lead the successful delivery of our shelter operations for the 2024-25 winter season.
C4WS Homeless Project provides support to those experiencing homelessness throughout the year via a well-established winter night shelter in Camden, a lunchtime club, Jobs Club, hosting scheme, mentoring scheme and various other activities. We are passionate about helping people rebuild their lives after homelessness and working towards living independently.
Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for coordinating the practical and day-to-day running of our shelters, which will involve:
- Ensuring each shelter has enough trained volunteers to safely operate
- Ensuring each shelter has all the practical equipment and resources needed
- Liaising with and supporting church volunteer teams
- Being the main staff presence at shelter shifts
- Responsible for managing our weekly Friday Club drop in
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with people who are experiencing homelessness or other similarly disadvantaged groups, an efficient and practical approach, warm and friendly nature, and a can-do attitude.
The successful applicant will be required to work flexibly whilst the shelter is operating. This includes some evenings (9:30pm finish), and some weekend shifts and bank holidays, as per a weekly-changing rota, and therefore is required to display considerable flexibility. The post commences as soon as possible, on a one year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend subject to performance, funding and structural reorganisation.

People’s Economy aims to build the agency and power of people facing injustice and working for social change so that they have the expertise, capabilities and resources to develop their own analysis of how the economic system is a root cause of the injustice they face, develop strategies to change it and then take action with others. We are looking for people who are: passionate about addressing economic injustice, experienced trainers and facilitators and are excited about the prospect of leading work to build infrastructure that will significantly scale our training capacity.
The Head of Training will lead People’s Economy’s overall approach to training providing strong oversight and ownership over: turning economic analysis content and our community economic education framework into engaging and accessible training; individual workshop and learning journey design; our pedagogical approach to learning; and our unique facilitation approach. The role will have a focus on building the infrastructure to consolidate and scale our training through supporting, training and coaching staff, freelancers and collaborators in implementing our training approach. It will also be responsible for developing paid training work and will support other work strands, manage projects and contribute to income generation.

Leading People’s Economy’s approach to training
- With support from the Programme Director, lead the development of People’s Economy’s approach to training and workshops to create an approach and set of standards to be applied across the organisation.
- Stay abreast of developments in training best practice across similar organisations and use this knowledge to further develop People’s Economy’s training approach.
- Develop resources (e.g. types of training exercises) that can be used across People’s Economy’s training work
- Support colleagues and freelancers to implement People’s Economy’s training approach, including through delivering ‘train the trainer’ training and creating learning resources
- Work with the Programme Director to create processes to oversee the quality and delivery of all of People’s Economy’s training
- Lead on monitoring and evaluation of, and learning from, People’s Economy’s training work ensuring that it informs the subsequent development of training
- With support from the Programme Director create and implement plans to build and maintain our training infrastructure and increase our training capacity.
Training for Changemakers
- With support from the Programme Director, design and develop our training offer.
- Lead the implementation of training, including: ○ Work with the Head of Community to develop processes to recruit and onboard changemakers to training opportunities ○ Design training workshops, working in accordance with People’s Economy’s community education framework and principles ○ Oversee the delivery of training workshops facilitated by other staff and freelancers
- Work collaboratively with the Programme Team to ensure a joined up approach across our work with changemakers
Develop paid training work
- With support from the Programme Director, take a strategic approach to identifying and developing opportunities to undertake paid training work that can both meet People’s Economy’s goals and generate unrestricted income for the organisation
- Hold key relationships, as agreed with the Programme Director, with organisations and individuals who are current and potential clients for paid training work
Supporting other work strands
- Feed in from a training perspective to the development of People’s Economy’s changemaker community of practice led by the Head of Community
- Feed in from a training perspective to the development and implementation of the organisational communications strategy
Managing projects and people
- Work with the Head of People and Operations to recruit and manage a pool of freelancer Associate Trainers to help deliver People’s Economy’s training work, and lead the training of freelancers to do this work
- Manage freelancers contributing to People’s Economy’s training work and any staff roles which (in future) report to Head of Training
- Manage (or contribute to) non-programme projects that contribute to achieving People’s Economy’s goals, as agreed with the Programme Director
- Work collaboratively with the Programme Team to ensure a joined up approach across People’s Economy’s work
Financial management and income generation
- With support from the Programme Director, develop and manage budgets when leading programmes and projects

JOB PURPOSE
We are seeking a dynamic, creative and experienced corporate partnerships new business expert to join our team.
This pivotal new role will be responsible for securing high-value, seven-figure (financial and non-financial) partnerships with corporate entities that protect and empower refugees globally.
The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of strategic partnership prospecting, manage relationships with key corporate prospects, and line manage a Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer.

Role Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver a new comprehensive business development strategy that will lead to seven-figure, sustainable corporate partnerships, delivering both unrestricted and restricted income.
- Coordinate market research to identify potential high value, strategic corporate partners that can deliver income, visibility and shared value for UK for UNHCR and UNHCR.
- Proactively approach prospects for partnership discussions.
- Develop stewardship plans for top prospects, ensuring full use of senior leadership, technical colleagues and established private sector network.
- Develop unique combined financial and non-financial partnership propositions that lead to transformational partnerships.
- Lead the prospecting cycle: from first meeting, through to opportunity development, through to negotiation and contracting.
- Supervise and mentor a Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer.
- Work closely with internal teams, including Philanthropy and Communications, to align partnership efforts with organisational priorities.
- Remain flexible and quickly respond to emergency situations, identifying and responding to fundraising opportunities at pace.
- Represent UK for UNHCR at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance visibility and build connections.
