Role Description
The Director of Programmes is responsible for providing strategic and creative leadership to develop high quality, effective and impactful programmes and products that reflect and meet the needs of the social sector.
Main responsibilities
- Lead the design, development and delivery of leadership and management programmes, ensuring that interventions are innovative, transformational and in alignment with Clore Social’s capabilities framework and model. This will include curriculum and module design, utilising own expertise and working in partnership with others to develop learning materials.
- Preparation for, and some facilitation of, peer learning, residentials and other programme events.
- Oversee the recruitment, moderation and engagement of Clore Social programme participants.
- Build and maintain a team of diverse and high quality consultants to deliver our programmes. This includes managing relationships and agreements with them and ensuring they deliver to Clore Social values and standards.
- Oversee the evaluation of the programme outcomes and impact and closely monitor feedback and other data in order to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with the CEO and the Director of Development on Clore Social’s Organisational Learning and Development offer, bringing expertise to develop bespoke packages that meet the individual needs of organisations within social purpose organisations and businesses.
- Contribute to the communications of Clore Social and be a thought leader on social sector leadership issues.
- Support and lead, where appropriate, relationships with key stakeholders, including existing and potential funding partners.
- Develop and manage the Programmes budget.
- Stay up to date with leadership development and social sector trends.
- Provide co-leadership of the organisation as a member of the senior leadership team.
- Consistently demonstrate the values of the Clore Social Leadership.
Key relationships
- The Director of Programmes will be part of our small, focused team of eight. You will work collaboratively across the team and, as a member of the senior leadership team, provide visible leadership within the organisation.
- The role will be managed by the CEO.
- The Director of Programmes leads the Programmes staff team. This will include line managing three members of staff: the Head of Programmes, the Programmes and Operations Administrator and Racial Equity Programme Lead.
- Key relationships will be built and maintained with partner organisations and a wide pool of programme directors, facilitators, coaches and trainers.

Hours and place of work
This is a full-time role to be fulfilled over a 35-hour week, within core working hours (Mon-Fri, 10am–4pm UK time), with flexibility as required.
This is a hybrid role with one day a week in our shared office space in London (Better Space, 127 Farringdon Road, London EC1R 3DA), the travel costs of which must be covered by the individual. We are open to discussing this arrangement further to accommodate individual needs and preferences.
Further UK travel will be required on occasion, the costs of which would be covered by Clore Social Leadership.
Terms, pay and benefits
- This is a permanent contract.
- Salary for this role will be £55,000-£60,000 p/a.
- The post holder is entitled to 25 days of annual leave, in addition to UK statutory holidays.
- The office is closed for one week during the winter festive period (25-31 December), providing an additional three days of annual leave in addition to the above allocation.
- You have the option to join our contributory pension scheme. The employer's contribution is 3% with a minimum employee contribution of 5%.

Purpose of This Role:
NASP is a highly ambitious charity, founded by government and working across diverse
sectors to improve healthcare in England and across the world through the development of
social prescribing. This is a senior leadership role to shape our future strategy and develop
existing and new partnerships with government departments, national agencies, charities,
business, the NHS and others to deliver this.
We are seeking an experienced senior leader, an optimist with strategic vision and a high
degree of intellect who can collaborate with other leaders to design and deliver solutions to
our most pressing problems in health and wellbeing. The postholder will navigate highly
complex systems and networks and need to be very politically astute, diplomatic and excel
at building relationships with trust and integrity.
The Executive Director for Strategy and Partnerships is the second most senior role in
NASP, with a remit for leadership across the organisation and responsibility to deputise for
the CEO. The core purpose of the role is to form strong relationships and partnerships with
leaders from diverse sectors and co-produce strategies and programme plans for joint work.
Existing formal partnerships include agreements with national ‘arm’s length’ bodies such as
Sport England and Natural England, and charities such as Independent Age. It includes line
management responsibilities for staff seconded by partners or employed directly by NASP,
to deliver partnership plans and priorities. The role includes the strategic leadership of multi
million-pound programmes reporting to government departments (for example working
closely with DEFRA to lead the Treasury-funded ‘Tackling and preventing mental ill health
through green social prescribing’ programme). Therefore, a focus on delivery and achieving
outputs and outcomes is just as important as strategic vision.
NASP also works internationally and there will be opportunities to travel regularly, for
example supporting our network of global contacts with events (most recently the Canadian
International Social Prescribing Conference).
The ideal candidate will be highly articulate, a persuasive public speaker, with a proven track
record of delivering complex high impact partnerships which make a measurable impact.
You will need to be comfortable advocating for social prescribing at the highest level; to
government ministers and officials, CEOs of large organisations and global partners such as
Movember, Amazon and the World Health Organization.

The Professional Networks Events Administrator provides an organised, proactive service to members of the professional networks team. In particular, as the Events Administrator you will support the Professional Network Manager and Co-ordinators during the busiest time of the year to develop and deliver events that form part of the annual workplan to support for our faculties- clinical radiology and clinical oncology.

About the role
We’re looking to recruit a Senior Prospect Researcher to join our dynamic Philanthropy & Events team within the Supporter Income & Engagement directorate. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and qualifying a continuous pipeline of prospects who can provide significant financial support for our efforts to restore nature.
As Senior Prospect Researcher you will focus on building and delivering a strategy for researching and prospecting high-net-worth individuals as well as trusts & foundations capable of principal-level giving (£1m+). The purpose of your role
We are looking for a personal assistant with some previous experience, who is keen to support Police Now’s mission of community transformation and culture change in policing, and to undertake a meaningful role supporting the executive leadership team in a busy, agile and ambitious organisation.
Police Now’s executive leadership team currently includes the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and Programmes Director. Together, the Executive is responsible for the organisation’s overall health and success and is accountable to the board of trustees.
This role will work both independently and collaboratively to ensure that the executive team works efficiently and effectively. This will primarily be achieved via swift and thoughtful diary management, meeting support (for example, taking minutes of formal meetings and actions from informal ones), management of email inboxes, drafting and responding to correspondence, and similar administrative and support duties. Over time, there are opportunities to develop and add additional activities and responsibilities to the role.
Absolute discretion and trust is critical, as is strong and confident communication with a diverse range of people. You will need to be intrinsically motivated, trustworthy and prepared to take on exciting and varied challenges within Police Now.
Key responsibilities
- Board and board committee governance: be a point of contact for trustees, partners and other external stakeholders and plan and coordinate board meetings, sub-committees, and the senior leadership team meetings. This includes ensuring papers are circulated in advance, meeting room bookings, attending meetings and producing timely, concise and accurate minutes and actions. You will work with the Company Secretary to update our records on Companies House and the Charities Commission to ensure that Police Now is always compliant as well as manage and maintain databases and systems relating to governance.
- Executive team diary management: support the executive team with day-to-day diary management to help ensure that they are effectively utilising their time in the most impactful ways. This includes arranging and coordinating meetings, booking rooms in our London office, arranging travel and accommodation when required and in some cases, sourcing an external venue while being cost effective, all while ensuring that digital infrastructure is available to support hybrid working.
- Financial processing: you will process invoices relating to the executive through our financial system and reconcile the executive teams monthly credit card statements and personal expenses in a timely manner as well as occasionally process expenses for trustees and committee members.
- Project support: assist and support the Executive team and Strategy, Stakeholders and Governance Manager as needed with strategic projects and other ad hoc tasks as required.
- Inbox management: manage the general enquiries inbox and some individual executive inboxes to effectively direct queries and escalate risks as appropriate.
Key Requirements
- We are looking for someone with a good grounding as a personal assistant or with significant relevant experience within an administrative role.
- An ability to handle confidential information with absolute discretion; a track record of integrity and good judgement.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work at real pace, manage a varied workload, work to short deadlines and prioritise effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, strong emotional intelligence and the ability to build positive relationships and trust with stakeholders, including staff and external partners.

Wintercomfort works with people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or with a history of homelessness. About the Project
The Reconnection Project Worker will provide holistic and practical assistance to help reconnect people to the area where they are locally connected, either via a homeless application or outside of the statutory pathway. You will provide clients with a personalised case management support plan leading to long- term housing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out comprehensive Service User assessments; offer support and advice around reconnection or accommodation offers and enter clients and service offer details onto Inform and other data bases.

FareShare Midlands is the region’s largest food redistribution charity. We take good-to-eat surplus food from the food industry and get it to our Members - frontline charities and community groups all over the Midlands. We turn an environmental problem into a social solution.
Last year we redistributed almost 5,794 tonnes of food from our warehouses in Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham. It is sorted and stored by our dedicated teams of staff and volunteers, and then redistributed to around 800 Members including food pantries and cafes, homeless shelters and drop-in centres.
These local organisations turn the food into food parcels, affordable shopping and delicious meals for people of all ages. As well as food, our Members provide vital support to families and the elderly, many of whom are facing challenging circumstances and living in poverty.
Last year our food reached more than 83,000 vulnerable people every week, providing 13 million meals. At the same time, we are growing our Employability Programmes to help people gain work experience, skills and jobs.

The Role
This important role will represent FareShare Midlands and engage with the food industry in the Midlands, to develop and grow volumes of surplus food.
Using your account management skills you will manage existing and new business relationships, growing our supply base and ensuring rewarding and sustainable relationships for the partner. We are looking for an engaging and dynamic fundraising specialist and team player with a proven track record of income generation, to take on this exciting new role at this exciting point of our organisational growth.
Across the last two years, EduSpots has significantly grown its income, and significantly advanced the quality, scope and reach of its operations in Ghana, with further plans for expansion in the years ahead. We are looking for an individual that understands the value of community-led change, with all our work centred on, and resulting from the actions of 400 locally-based educational Catalysts.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take on the responsibility for growing our income generation from trusts and foundations, as well as building a strong network of partnerships with schools, corporates and individuals who will contribute effectively to our overall annual income targets. We are looking for an experienced individual, who is able to work with the CEO to develop larger fundraising partnerships at this point in our development.
You will oversee a small part-time fundraising team, comprising a Fundraising Manager, Trusts and Foundations Manager, and Communications Manager, alongside interns and other income-generation roles that may emerge.

Experience of establishing and managing effective relationships with trusts, foundations and grant-makers

Strong knowledge of a wide range of UK-based funders, as well as of some international (European / US based) funders.

Some experience of communications and marketing in an NGO context.

Experience of developing and maintaining successful income generating partnerships ideally with corporates and / or schools.

Experience of overseeing individual giving campaigns and digital marketing for fundraising.

Proven experience of writing compelling and successful funding proposals

Experience of managing grants and reporting to funders and donors
