The role:
The Supporter Care and Finance Officer will manage and administrate the fundraising and communications database (Salesforce), ensuring accurate and efficient supporter care and fundraising processes. This role is essential in enhancing supporter experience by developing the customer relationship management system, providing insights to colleagues to optimise their understanding of supporters, and ensuring smooth financial management.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the allocation and reconciliation of financial data, maintaining accurate fundraising records, and supporting the senior finance manager with financial services and reporting. This role will actively support key donor accounts to ensure correct financial management, invoicing, and coding.

The person:
This successful candidate will have substantial experience as a Finance Officer, either in the charity sector, the grant making arena or similar experience within the corporate sector. Highly organised, a great communicator with superb attention to detail, this person will be AAT qualified or working towards the qualification or similar Finance related qualifications. They will have had experience of working in a busy Finance department, with a broad understanding of accounting principles, reconciliation and financial reporting in addition to excellent database and IT skills. Accuracy will be absolutely essential to success in this role in addition to being able to relate sometimes quite complex information to a wide variety or audiences.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a learning disability charity for a Financial Controller, on a full-time, permanent basis. You will provide financial leadership and effective management of the charity’s financial operations including AR, AP, Treasury and Payroll and Fixed Assets.
The organisation works on a hybrid working basis and requires you to be in the office one day per week.
As Financial Controller, you will:
- Oversee the month end process, working closely with all finance staff
- Work closely with the Head of Finance and Finance Business Partners with the preparation and consolidation of the monthly management accounts
- Support the Head of Finance and Finance Business Partners during the annual budget cycle and ensure all budgets are agreed and implemented on the accounting system
- Manage the external audit and the year-end processes and complete statutory financial statements to draft stage in accordance with the Charities SORP including all working papers
- Actively oversee the management of the payroll function (including pensions) ensuring compliance with legislation and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of employee pay and third-party payments
The successful applicant will:
- Have significant demonstrable experience in finance within the charity sector, in a similar role
- Be fully qualified (hold a Professional Chartered Accountancy Qualification)
- Have knowledge & experience of Charity accounts and SORP
- Have knowledge of payroll practice and a full understanding of HMRC requirements
- Have experience of people management within the finance functions
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

As Database Assistant you will play a crucial role in helping us reach our fundraising targets and delivered excellent supporter experience through your support of the charity’s CRM system, Salesforce. This role will be known internally as *Database Executive.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Provide 1st Line support for requests received into the team’s ticketing system, triaging all incoming tickets and either resolving, providing self-help guides, or escalating as appropriate.
· Analyse support tickets to identify recurring themes which may suggest changes to Salesforce are required, additional training is necessary, or changes to processes are required.
· Act as our document custodian, ensuring our documentation is always up-to-date and relevant for its purpose and checking in with document owners when a review is needed.
· Create new documents such as ‘How To’ guides to a high standard which are straightforward using non-technical language.
· Establish relationships with stakeholders across the organisation and help them resolve data issues and requests.
· Assist the Database Manager, and Database Officers in improving business processes for the successful and efficient management of supporter data.
· Work with the Database Officers to perform simple ad-hoc imports of data into Salesforce that cannot be processed by automated means.
· Import data using our tool Clarity Data Transform (CDT) and to see errors through to completion by either resolving the problem or escalating where appropriate.
· Support the Database Officers in delivering an ongoing training programme to all employees.
· Other data management tasks from time to time as identified by the Database Manager
What we are looking for:
· Experience of working with data sets, either in a CRM system or Excel-based system.
· Proven ability to work to a high standard and with an excellent eye for detail.
· Experience of providing customer service to customers or users of a system
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· The ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people in a supportive and easy to understand way.
· Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP’s).

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
In consultation and verified compliance with the objectives, standards, and requirements communicated by PETA UK and other PETA entities:
- Coordinating PETA's and its entities' online fundraising campaigns, including campaign set-ups, e-mails and donation tracking
- Ensure the operation of the fundraising pages and data-collection elements of PETA's and its affiliates' websites
- Liaise with other departments and PETA affiliates regarding webpage content related to fundraising campaigns and projects
- Act as a task liaison to PETA US' Office of the President and Marketing Department as well as the PETA Foundation US' Production, Legal and Information Technology departments for all Web-based projects and content, including privacy, technology and design issues

People’s Economy aims to build the agency and power of people facing injustice and working for social change so that they have the expertise, capabilities and resources to develop their own analysis of how the economic system is a root cause of the injustice they face, develop strategies to change it and then take action with others. The Head of Training will lead People’s Economy’s overall approach to training providing strong oversight and ownership over: turning economic analysis content and our community economic education framework into engaging and accessible training; individual workshop and learning journey design; our pedagogical approach to learning; and our unique facilitation approach. The role will have a focus on building the infrastructure to consolidate and scale our training through supporting, training and coaching staff, freelancers and collaborators in implementing our training approach. It will also be responsible for developing paid training work and will support other work strands, manage projects and contribute to income generation.

Leading People’s Economy’s approach to training
- With support from the Programme Director, lead the development of People’s Economy’s approach to training and workshops to create an approach and set of standards to be applied across the organisation.
- Stay abreast of developments in training best practice across similar organisations and use this knowledge to further develop People’s Economy’s training approach.
- Develop resources (e.g. types of training exercises) that can be used across People’s Economy’s training work
- Support colleagues and freelancers to implement People’s Economy’s training approach, including through delivering ‘train the trainer’ training and creating learning resources
- Work with the Programme Director to create processes to oversee the quality and delivery of all of People’s Economy’s training
- Lead on monitoring and evaluation of, and learning from, People’s Economy’s training work ensuring that it informs the subsequent development of training
- With support from the Programme Director create and implement plans to build and maintain our training infrastructure and increase our training capacity.
Training for Changemakers
- With support from the Programme Director, design and develop our training offer.
- Lead the implementation of training, including: ○ Work with the Head of Community to develop processes to recruit and onboard changemakers to training opportunities ○ Design training workshops, working in accordance with People’s Economy’s community education framework and principles ○ Oversee the delivery of training workshops facilitated by other staff and freelancers
- Work collaboratively with the Programme Team to ensure a joined up approach across our work with changemakers
Develop paid training work
- With support from the Programme Director, take a strategic approach to identifying and developing opportunities to undertake paid training work that can both meet People’s Economy’s goals and generate unrestricted income for the organisation
- Hold key relationships, as agreed with the Programme Director, with organisations and individuals who are current and potential clients for paid training work
Supporting other work strands
- Feed in from a training perspective to the development of People’s Economy’s changemaker community of practice led by the Head of Community
- Feed in from a training perspective to the development and implementation of the organisational communications strategy
Managing projects and people
- Work with the Head of People and Operations to recruit and manage a pool of freelancer Associate Trainers to help deliver People’s Economy’s training work, and lead the training of freelancers to do this work
- Manage freelancers contributing to People’s Economy’s training work and any staff roles which (in future) report to Head of Training
- Manage (or contribute to) non-programme projects that contribute to achieving People’s Economy’s goals, as agreed with the Programme Director

Financial management and income generation

About the role
This multifaceted role requires the ability to manage data and compile accurate reports to enable crucial reporting to funders, alongside the ability to write creative and compelling applications for funding from grant makers and funders. This role enables the post holder to facilitate the end to end process from funding application to reporting on contracts won. Alongside this the postholder will have the ability to be creative in generating alternative sources of income to ensure our unrestricted reserves support Pathways ambitious plans. The post holder will work with our already established Fundraising and Outreach Manager to ensure delivery of the Fundraising Strategy as agreed by the board of Trustees.
- To facilitate data collection, consolidate, analyse and organise reports for funders and internal teams with precision and attention to detail.
- To support the COO with daily operations by ensuring that data is accurately and appropriately recorded in the case management system to facilitate the reporting required.
- To aid in the administration and advancement of the online case management system.
- To generate reports and statistics to disseminate the results of the Pathway Project.
- To work with the CEO, COO, Fundraising and Outreach Manager to deliver the fundraising strategy and create a pipeline of future funding applications.
- To write compelling and high quality grant applications, online applications for funding or funding bids to existing and new funders, who may be Foundations, Grant Makers, Corporations, or Trusts.
