We are seeking a Research Funding Officer (Research Impact) to work mainly on our Research Grant Programme. As part of our Research Funding team, you will support high quality and innovative research on the effects of diet, nutrition, physical activity, and body size on cancer prevention and survival, managing an international portfolio of projects and working closely with leading researchers around the world.
In addition to the Research Grant programme, you will have the opportunity to contribute to other Research Funding activities such as our Academy programme and work closely with colleagues across the Science department and with other departments such as PR & Editorial and Fundraising.
The Research Funding Officer (Research Impact) will work mainly on the post award phase (e.g. active monitoring of funded projects, liaison with our grant holders, supporting our Academy programme initiative and evaluation of the impact of our funded research).
You will have experience working in a fast-paced research environment, whether in academia or research administration/management. Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills are essential for engaging a diverse range of audiences. Additionally, you should possess a solid understanding of statistical analysis. A Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or Nutrition is required, while a Master’s degree is preferred but not essential. An interest in science communication and social media is also desirable.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and identify local market best practices and suppliers
- Facilitate the process of gathering, defining, and formalising internal service requirements
- Draft, administer, and submit all relevant PQQ/RFP documentation

The Income and Finance Liaison Senior Officer will contribute to the growth of upReach by working across the Income Generation and Finance teams contributing to a wide range of income and finance related activities. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Director of Income Generation and External Engagement you will work closely with the Director of Finance, CEO, Finance and Programmes teams, and colleagues across the income generating and external engagement team; supporting them to meet financial targets, provide excellent stewardship and to implement key administrative and financial processes.

Income generation and External Engagement

Ownership of a range of administrative tasks, including stewarding of donors and partners and support of the Development Board.

Promptly addressing incoming queries from supporters and partners, including email, telephone and post; assist the team by managing;

About the role
The Senior Volunteer officer will work to involve the local community in enhancing and taking care of the park and will support all areas of the Trust’s work, including visitor experience, gardening and supporting the delivery of the Trust’s growing public programme of seasonal, community-focused activities and events. This role will play a pivotal part in leading the successful delivery of the annual hospice fundraising event programme. To be successful in the role of Senior Events Officer, you will need:
- Considerable experience of event management to engage and retain supporters, with project management experience to lead on event planning and delivery.
- Experience with databases, segmentation and use of data analytics.
- Ability to work across teams in a collaborative positive manner proactively engaging colleague support.

We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and proactive individual to join our Carlton Marshes engagement team to create exceptional visitor experiences at our spectacular visitor centre and nature reserve.
Based at Carlton Marshes near Lowestoft, the Visitor Welcome Officer is a full-time, permanent role based at one of our most spectacular nature reserves - focused on welcoming visitors, growing the income of the visitor centre, and creating exceptional experiences with the Trust.
The role has three key areas of responsibility:
- Visitor experience - ensuring a welcoming, high-quality, memorable, and consistent visitor experience for a range of audiences at Carlton Marshes.
- Growing income - working closely with colleagues and volunteers to assist the smooth running of the shop, the recruitment of members, and the promotion of venue hire.
- Engagement - facilitating the Trust's event programme and audience-led activity at Carlton Marshes - helping visitors to connect with nature and be inspired to take action for wildlife and climate.
The regular work pattern for this role is Sunday to Thursday but you will need to be flexible with occasional evening work too.

About you
Do you want to use your skills to make a real difference to the myeloma community?
We’re looking for an experienced writer with an eye for detail who can research topics and simplify complex scientific and medical information into accessible and patient-friendly language. Excellent writing, copy editing and proofing skills are essential for this role.
You will require to have experience of writing information materials for a range of audiences and producing information for different channels as well as knowledge of the stages involved in producing information. You will be able to manage your own workload and have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as good IT skills. Previous experience in writing information materials for patients, working directly with patients, carers and family members, content development for information events and a general health and cancer knowledge would be an advantage for this role.
About the role
This is an exciting time to join Myeloma UK as we launch our new five year strategy. As a Patient Information Officer you will maintain, develop and deliver accurate printed and online information (written and audio/visual) on myeloma and its related conditions for patients, their family and carers, as well as ensuring complex medical and scientific language is translated into clear and concise information for a patient audience.
The post holder will work with colleagues to ensure close communication and sharing of information across the organisation and report progress regularly to their line manager.

It's an exciting time to join World Cancer Research Fund International's policy team. In 2024, the organisation started undertaking proactive UK policy and public affairs to join our well-established international policy work.
We are recruiting a Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer to support the development of our policy and public affairs work in the UK and evidence-based policy for both our International and UK work. We will be developing a UK Policy and Public Affairs strategy for 2025 onwards, with several influencing opportunities in the pipeline.
World Cancer Research Fund International leads and unifies a network of cancer prevention charities based in Europe, the Americas and Asia and is responsible for cancer prevention science, policy, strategic and operational direction to the network charities.
We are looking for a candidate with a passion for delivering improvements to public health and cancer prevention through policy and public affairs, who has experience advising colleagues on political matter areas and the ability to maintain up to date knowledge on political issues. Experience of sourcing, scanning for, reviewing, assessing and analysing policy documents or legislation is also key.
You will have significant professional experience in a UK policy and public affairs environment such as a charity or working in parliament - preferably in health - and a Bachelor degree (or Masters degree desirable) in public policy, public or global health, or health policy (e.g. policies on cancer, non-communicable diseases, food, obesity, physical activity) or other relevant subjects, or a Bachelor of Law.
