As a Project Worker at The Genesis Day Centre, Poole, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals who are homeless and vulnerably housed.
You will contribute to the daily serving of food as well as the successful implementation of support groups and programmes. Working within a small team of staff and volunteers you will help address the immediate needs of homeless individuals, whilst promoting long-term solutions and empowerment. A faith based charity, the organisation seeks to provide the daily essentials in addition to ongoing support and signposting.
Main Duties
- Offer emotional support, guidance, and advocacy to help meet the immediate needs of individuals presenting at The Genesis Centre as well as navigating them through their homelessness journey.
- Empower and motivate individuals through 1-1's and groups.
- To work with multiple agencies based both at the Gensis Centre and externally to ensure effective and efficient collaborative working
- Identify and coordinate appropriate group sessions that provide support and encourage the growth of networks and peer support.
- To contribute to the daily delivery of the Genesis Centre offer including organising, preparing and serving meals as well as providing access to provision including washing and laundry facilities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes, incidents and attendance records, whilst ensuring compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies

As Railway Children’s Community Engagement Worker, you will energise key stakeholders to come together to collectively keep vulnerable young people safe on the rail network. About the role:

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
People Management
- Be responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operations relating to the people side of retail.

- Act as the first point of contact for the volunteer administrator in relation to volunteering matters and queries for retail.
- Effectively communicate any relevant information to all shop teams regarding updates, charity activities, incentives, and performance.

- Collaboratively with the HR team review and update the volunteer induction and training programme ensuring all aspects are relevant to the retail portfolio.
- Support staff with capability and performance issues including the management of their own staff issues such as, sickness, disciplinary, grievances and concerns through probation periods.
- Work closely with the retail management team on the delivery of innovative and interactive internal and external training to help staff develop their skill sets and achieve career satisfaction.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Work closely with HR developing and implementing strategies to improve recruitment, attracting suitable staff, and retaining them.
- Ensure suitable and sufficient coverage of volunteer support in the retail portfolio.
- Lead on the recruitment of new staff members, being able to assist shop managers in developing better teams and building strong foundations in line with the people strategy and recruitment and selection policy.
- Ensure that new staff members are fully trained and placed in a suitable training store.
- Monitor and track performance throughout staff probation periods alongside the retail sales manager.

As the Head of Museum Service, you will play a key role in planning and delivering high-quality, accessible museum services that meet the needs of the vibrant and diverse Ealing and Hounslow boroughs.
About the role.
With this breadth of our community in mind, the Head of Museum Service is responsible for developing and implementing the Gunnersbury Museum Service’s Forward Plan, which focuses on community participation, exhibitions, and audience engagement.
The aim is to achieve measurable outcomes that advance education and encourage underrepresented groups to participate in museum services and events, which are also key to sustaining the organisation’s prestigious NPO status.
The Head of Museum Service oversees the integration of digital technologies to enhance the management, care, and public access to Gunnersbury’s collections and heritage assets. Working closely with the Senior Curator, you will ensure the highest standards in conservation, management, and interpretation of the museum collection and update relevant policies and emergency plans.
Managing and supporting the Formal Learning Manager to deliver educational programmes, and the Community Programmes Officer to foster partnerships that strengthen community engagement, you will collaborate with the fundraising team to secure grant funding and sponsorship opportunities. Ensuring compliance with national standards, such as ACE Accreditation, is also a key responsibility.
Internally, the Head of Museum Service will build strong relationships with senior colleagues to support the overall management of the Museum and Park, ensuring Gunnersbury is well maintained and operates efficiently.
You will lead the curatorial team in procuring and managing external consultants and contractors to uphold high collection management standards and establish a robust system for impact assessment and key performance indicators (KPIs), culminating in an annual Impact Report for the museum service.
Externally, this role is central to developing strategic partnerships at regional and national levels to expand the museum’s reach and impact. As Head of Museum Service, you will closely collaborate with the Head of Estates and Major Projects to ensure a safe and high-quality visitor experience throughout the various exhibits and collections. Working with marketing and communications teams, you will work to engage priority audiences and build strong relationships with stakeholders through consultations and events.
In terms of general management, the Head of Museum Service is accountable for effectively managing budgets and pursuing income generation through grants and participatory programmes. You will oversee the museum’s curatorial, marketing, communications, and community engagement functions, run team meetings, conduct professional development reviews, and motivate staff and volunteers.
Well-networked and connected, you will take pride in staying updated on best practices in the heritage sector, driving quality improvements to enhance visitor and participant experiences.

This is generalist HR management role, so you’ll be responsible for ensuring effectiveness and driving improvement across all areas of the employment lifecycle, as well as providing expert HR knowledge and advice to our management and leadership teams.
The HR Manager will also lead the development and delivery of our workforce strategy and contribute to the strategic direction and day to day operational management of the hospice as a key member of the management team.

What you need:
The successful candidate will be qualified to CIPD level 7 (or working towards this / have equivalent experience), along with substantial experience working in a HR generalist role. You will need to have a strong commitment to the vision and values of Bolton Hospice, and be able to demonstrate these values in the way that you work. You will have strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills, coupled with an excellent knowledge of employment legislation, and experience in providing expert HR advice to senior teams.

About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Communications Manager to help us increase the impact of our work through cross-channel communications and grow the organisation’s profile to match the quality of the legal work we conduct. You will be joining at an exciting time when there is already some infrastructure in place but plenty of opportunity to make your mark on the development of our organisational approach to communications. You will work closely with the Director to develop and implement a cross-organisational communications strategy to extend our reach, brand awareness and increase donations. You will join a dedicated staff team who are all passionate about building power with working class and marginalised communities. You will be expected to work closely with staff across the organisation, supporters and the communities we serve, co-ordinating and delivering effective organisation wide communications. A demonstrable interest in social justice campaigning is essential.
About You
We are looking for an experienced and creative communications all-rounder with a track record of implementing communications strategies for social change. You’ll be an effective project manager, able to work proactively and collaboratively with staff across the organisation to showcase the vital work colleagues in the litigation team conduct out of the spotlight. You will be confident in working with a variety of stakeholders, including journalists, lawyers and marginalised communities. You will be proactive, able to build and maintain relationships, develop effective cross-channel communications and manage a varied workload. You will be both able and happy to turn your hand to strategic thinking alongside day-to-day delivery, such as copy-editing news pieces for our website or writing press releases. You’ll be engaged with social justice campaigning and social media with an ability to identify and take advantage of relevant communications opportunities.
