We’re looking for an experienced Fundraising Lead to join an important charity that exists to help Surrey’s unpaid carers, aged 5-95 to help people feel more in control of their lives and less alone.

About the role:
The Fundraising Lead will be responsible for building and maintaining corporate partnerships that increase income and diversify funding. The post holder’s primary focus will be community organisations, businesses and other bodies.
You will support the organisation to deliver services and support for unpaid carers. You will be engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, and drive fundraising efforts, community engagement, gifts-in-kind, volunteer engagement and awareness raising.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Develop a partnership engagement strategy that raises the profile of the organisation.
- Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with community and corporate partners that support fundraising, gifts-in-kind and volunteer engagement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for community and corporate partners.
- Explore and promote opportunities for sponsorship, donations and corporate giving.
- Support fundraising events and activities undertaken by community and corporate partners, groups and individuals.
- Support the finance manager in developing and writing bids and grant applications for projects.
- Organise community outreach events, workshops, and information sessions to build relationships and encourage support.
- Represent the charity at networking events, conferences, and community forums to develop partnerships and promote the organisation.
About you:
This new position, reporting to the Marketing Manager, requires a dynamic self-starter with excellent communication and networking skills, capable of developing relationships.
Key skills required for this role:
- Experience working in community engagement, business development, or similar roles.
- Experience in identifying, supporting and growing relationships with corporate partners and/or community groups
- Experience organising events and engagement activities.
- Knowledge of developing stakeholder engagement plans/strategies (preferably in the not-for-profit or charitable sectors).
- Confident in delivering engaging presentations and activities to diverse groups of stakeholders.
- An innovative approach to engaging partners and stakeholders with a willingness to try new initiatives.
- An ability to work independently and manage own time, priorities and workload.

The Role
As a Strategy and Portfolio Office Administrator, you will ensure the smooth running of our strategy and portfolio operations as part of our SPO (Strategy and Portfolio Office).

Key Tasks & Responsibilities
People Management
- Be responsible and accountable for the day-to-day operations relating to the people side of retail.
- Ensure the shop team and volunteer relationship is a professional and successful one
- Act as the first point of contact for the volunteer administrator in relation to volunteering matters and queries for retail.
- Effectively communicate any relevant information to all shop teams regarding updates, charity activities, incentives, and performance.
- Work closely with management and employees to embed changes and ensure solutions are realistic and sustainable.
- Be able to work closely with the retail management team including the retail sales manager to ensure the people side of the charity is not impacting sales.
- Overseeing the retail portfolio sickness and absence management including allocation and approval of annual leave throughout the year, forward planning contingency strategies ensuring shops are covered all the time even at short notice. Ensuring staffing hours do not exceed there’re banding allocation.
- Be competent in assisting with grievances, supporting with investigations and assisting with disciplinaries.
- Act as deputy safeguarding lead as and when required. Be able to act in an advisory capacity demonstrating a higher level of experience and understanding when dealing with safeguarding issues that arise.
- Be responsible for overseeing and leading with probation placements across our retail sites, acting as point of contact and ensuring that the relevant paperwork is up to date including the risk assessments for each placement.
People Development
- Ability to mentor and support staff through regular one to ones ensuring that they feel fully equipped to achieve optimum success in their work.
- Collaboratively with the HR team review and update the volunteer induction and training programme ensuring all aspects are relevant to the retail portfolio.
- Support staff with capability and performance issues including the management of their own staff issues such as, sickness, disciplinary, grievances and concerns through probation periods.
- Work closely with the retail management team on the delivery of innovative and interactive internal and external training to help staff develop their skill sets and achieve career satisfaction.
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Work closely with HR developing and implementing strategies to improve recruitment, attracting suitable staff, and retaining them.
- Ensure suitable and sufficient coverage of volunteer support in the retail portfolio.
- Lead on the recruitment of new staff members, being able to assist shop managers in developing better teams and building strong foundations in line with the people strategy and recruitment and selection policy.
- Ensure that new staff members are fully trained and placed in a suitable training store.
- Monitor and track performance throughout staff probation periods alongside the retail sales manager.

Internally, the Head of Museum Service will build strong relationships with senior colleagues to support the overall management of the Museum and Park, ensuring Gunnersbury is well maintained and operates efficiently.
You will lead the curatorial team in procuring and managing external consultants and contractors to uphold high collection management standards and establish a robust system for impact assessment and key performance indicators (KPIs), culminating in an annual Impact Report for the museum service.
Externally, this role is central to developing strategic partnerships at regional and national levels to expand the museum’s reach and impact. As Head of Museum Service, you will closely collaborate with the Head of Estates and Major Projects to ensure a safe and high-quality visitor experience throughout the various exhibits and collections. Working with marketing and communications teams, you will work to engage priority audiences and build strong relationships with stakeholders through consultations and events.
In terms of general management, the Head of Museum Service is accountable for effectively managing budgets and pursuing income generation through grants and participatory programmes. You will oversee the museum’s curatorial, marketing, communications, and community engagement functions, run team meetings, conduct professional development reviews, and motivate staff and volunteers.

This is generalist HR management role, so you’ll be responsible for ensuring effectiveness and driving improvement across all areas of the employment lifecycle, as well as providing expert HR knowledge and advice to our management and leadership teams.
The HR Manager will also lead the development and delivery of our workforce strategy and contribute to the strategic direction and day to day operational management of the hospice as a key member of the management team.
You will work collaboratively with others across our multidisciplinary workforce on a number of initiatives and projects, helping to ensure we achieve our aim of being a Great Place to Work.
What you need:
The successful candidate will be qualified to CIPD level 7 (or working towards this / have equivalent experience), along with substantial experience working in a HR generalist role. You will have strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills, coupled with an excellent knowledge of employment legislation, and experience in providing expert HR advice to senior teams.

About the role
We’re looking for an experienced Communications Manager to help us increase the impact of our work through cross-channel communications and grow the organisation’s profile to match the quality of the legal work we conduct. You will be joining at an exciting time when there is already some infrastructure in place but plenty of opportunity to make your mark on the development of our organisational approach to communications. You will work closely with the Director to develop and implement a cross-organisational communications strategy to extend our reach, brand awareness and increase donations. You will be proactive, able to build and maintain relationships, develop effective cross-channel communications and manage a varied workload. You will be both able and happy to turn your hand to strategic thinking alongside day-to-day delivery, such as copy-editing news pieces for our website or writing press releases. You’ll be engaged with social justice campaigning and social media with an ability to identify and take advantage of relevant communications opportunities.

- Working closely with the Programme Director and the Programme Team, lead the translation of People’s Economy’s strategy into a programme of work in Birmingham
- Working closely with the Programme Director and the Programme Team, identify the resources People’s Economy needs to deliver its strategy in Birmingham and contribute to fundraising for the organisation’s programme of work in Birmingham
- Working closely with Programme Director lead outreach and relationship building with community and civil society partners, including members of the Economic Justice Brum
- Working closely with the Head of Community, lead the development of People’s Economy’s programme of outreach and relationship building with changemakers in Birmingham including current grassroots campaigns such as Save Birmingham, Save Birmingham Youth Service (SBYS), Ladywood Unite, Save Druids Heath and the Birmingham Fair Housing Campaign.
Birmingham Programme Delivery

About this role
We are pleased to advertise for a Head of Death Penalty Projects- US to oversee our work against the death penalty in the United States of America.
Reprieve has worked against the death penalty since our founding. In recent years we have built a particular specialism in issues relating to lethal injection, the most popular execution method in the US. Lethal injection has been touted as more humane than other methods – a modern, clean, clinical way to execute. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Lethal injection executions go wrong more often than any other execution method, often resulting in prolonged and torturous executions, commonly known as “botched” executions. Through our work we aim to dispel the myth of the humane execution, working with allies across medicine, business and other sectors to end the misuse of medicines and medical technology in executions.
The existing portfolio of work includes litigation, investigation and analysis, corporate engagement, a wide range of public and private advocacy, and developing and maintaining world-leading expertise on execution methods, particularly the jurisprudence and science relevant to lethal injection.
Contract, location and salary
The role is a full-time, permanent position with a salary of £59,226 per annum less any required deductions for tax and national insurance.Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work a minimum of 40% from the London office and the rest of the week from home. There is the opportunity for international travel in the role.
