VCSE Strategic Lead (Living Well and Wider Wellbeing)
30 hours per week (0.8 post) – over 4 or 5 weekdays, core hours between 8am – 6pm (excluding a 30-minute break)
NJC Point 31 - £39,186 per annum (£31,349 per annum for 30 hours per week)

Location: Salford CVS’ office Eccles and various community venues across Salford
The VCSE Strategic Lead for Living Well and Wider Wellbeing is an exciting new role that will be focused on ensuring that the VCSE sector has voice and influence so that Salford people are supported to live well, with a focus on mental health and wellbeing.
The role will be aligned with Salford’s Living Well programme and the city’s Mental Health Collaborative. These are the cornerstones of the design and development of innovative solutions to adult mental health provision in the City. As well as the alignment with Living Well, the lead will also focus on creative health, placed-based working, and physical activity.
The Strategic Lead will work across a broad spectrum of VCSE and public sector partners that design, commission, or deliver activities and services that support the Mental Health and Wellbeing of Salfordians. This spectrum includes NHS Greater Manchester, Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust, Salford City Council, START, Mind in Salford, Salford Community Leisure, Salford Sport, and Physical Activity Alliance.
The Strategic Lead will play a key role in ensuring that there is collaborative working and effective communication within Living Well. This also includes key stakeholders, strategic partners in Salford, Local Authority, VCSE, and NHS organisations.
Living Well
Living Well is an innovative new service created and delivered by a partnership between START, Mind (Salford), Six Degrees, and Greater Manchester Mental Health Trust. A multi-agency team, collaborating to provide positive, humanistic, and safe experiences for those experiencing poor mental health who are unable to meet the threshold for community mental health services.
This post requires an enhanced level DBS check.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate extensive experience of building multi-sectoral partnerships and relationships, as well as having outstanding communication skills. They will also have a clear understanding of the VCSE sector, preferably in Salford, and mental health and wellbeing context across Greater Manchester.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for data entry for financial transactions and financial processing within the accounts system, for invoice processing, supplier management and administrating payments.

Essential:
- AAT qualification or other equivalent relevant qualification or experience as a minimum
- Experience within a finance setting or role
- Proven administration and organisation skills, with a strong attention to detail
- Confident user of Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite products
- Experienced with using financial software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks)
- An understanding and experience of the various aspects of book-keeping
- Ability to work and deliver effectively under time pressures
- A positive ‘can-do’, resourceful and supportive team player
- Confident working alone and with others, as part of a small team
Desirable:
- Experience in financial management and payroll processing
- Experience with cash flow planning and monitoring

About the role
We are seeking an IT Tech Support Team Lead to support ARTICLE 19 during its migration to the MS365 platform and applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing A19’s technical support operations, including deploying, optimising and supporting applications and users across the organisation. - Lead the IT Support Team in providing exceptional technical assistance across Windows and Mac platforms.

- Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Microsoft 365 applications and services, including Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint.

Your expertise will be key to driving our charity's growth and development. As a member of our small team, you will be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and process optimisation. Westway Trust is seeking a highly experienced and professional Senior HR Manager to join our vibrant, friendly team of three on a 2-year fixed-term contract to deliver a strong, credible, and reliable service across all aspects of our HR function in support of the range of activities undertaken by the organisation. The post will particularly suit someone with a significant charity HR background who is looking to gain the further experience necessary to equip them for making the step up to Head of HR roles. Attention to detail, adherence to deadlines and a proactive flexible approach to the work are all pre-requisites for the role.
Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:
- Provide high quality support to the Head of Governance and HR on aspects of the Trust’s HR function and on the provision of accurate, timely and relevant updates and reports as required by the Executive Team.
- Ensure effective up-to-date HR policies and relevant other policies that meet the needs of the Trust and its staff are in place, reviewing them on an agreed schedule in line with the Trust’s Policy Matrix and updating as required. Identify any gaps in the suite of HR policies and develop new policies to fill that gap. Overall maintenance of the Policy Matrix.
- Lead on the Trust’s EDI policy, ensuring that the policy is implemented in a practical way throughout the organisation and in all our activities. Ensure the HR-related recommendations of the Tutu Foundation review into institutional racism at the Trust are progressed to a conclusion.
- Support the Head of Governance and HR in delivering the actions that support preparations for the next Investors in People (IiP) external assessment in late 2024. Ensure the Trust’s HR policies and practices remain consistent with the IiP standard.
- Work proactively with the HR Business Partner on the running of staff recruitment and selection processes, including sitting as the HR representative on the interview panel for more senior roles.
Essential Experience, Skills and Attributes
- Substantial experience of working in HR operations and of developing and reviewing appropriate HR policies and procedures in a charity or similar setting.
- Sound understanding of employment law and a willingness to keep up-to-date with relevant legislative changes.
- A passion for EDI and an ability to be creative and engaging in communications around this subject.
- Strong organisational skills and an understanding of the importance of discretion and confidentiality.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including evidence of ability to adapt to a variety of cultural settings.
- A team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to earn quickly the trust and confidence of staff and other stakeholders.

Here at the IOP we are looking for a People Officer for a fixed period until September 2025 to support us in our mission. We are looking for a pro-active individual to provide administrative support, processes and procedures to the People Team and to provide general HR advice and guidance to staff and managers.
What will I be doing?
- Maintaining and updating the full suite of personnel records for staff
- Overseeing the quality of data held within the HR system and other HR software and offer guidance to users of the systems and administrative support
- Preparing and accurately entering all monthly salary information on to the HR system

- Overseeing the probation and induction process for new starters and to conduct new starter induction sessions

About You...
The role is ideal for someone with good generalist HR experience and up to date knowledge and understanding of key HR legislation and HR systems.
We are looking for an organised and dependable individual who has a proven ability to work with within a small team, and who can communicate effectively with a wide range of people both in written and oral form.
Proven experience of accurate data entry and monthly payroll processes is essential along with previous experience of effectively following administrative processes.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Regional Casework Manager to join the Greater London Region at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.
You will be part of the regional office team, managing two Regional Casework Co-ordinators, which will provide specialist administrative and single point of contact support to SSAFA branch-based volunteers, to ensure a consistent, timely and quality service is provided to SSAFA beneficiaries. The role will require you to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with volunteers, including branch-based casework managers. At times, the role will require support to the Regional Casework Co-ordinators with call handling, signposting, and the triage of initial enquiries from clients.
To help you establish yourself in this post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA. You will influence the processes and procedures within the regional office as it develops, working in a close team and line managed by the Regional Operations Manager.

About the team
The regional office is a “virtual” office and supports three SSAFA branches in the Greater London region, as the volunteers deliver casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The successful candidate will work as part of a support team which includes two Regional Casework Co-ordinators and a Regional Operations Manager. All team members are home based.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have a good standard of education, experience of managing employees, together with managing and reporting on service delivery. You will have a track record of building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, together with achieving results through negotiation and influence. Previous experience of working with volunteers would be an asset. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard and be capable of quickly learning a computerised case management system and be proficient with numbers. The successful candidate will have experience of planning and managing their own workload, with minimal supervision.
It would be advantageous to have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families. An understanding of the voluntary sector would be valuable, and the military charity sector landscape across London would be helpful. Main duties and responsibilities
Deliver high quality community events
- Lead on the delivery of our large-scale events including our Welcome events, our Varsity series and Student Awards
- Manage our SU crew volunteering programme which takes place in the early part of each academic year
- Have oversight of all student-led events ensuring we deliver innovative, bespoke and targeted activities for our members
- Ensuring delivery of a portfolio of SU-led events designed to maximise student engagement and experience
- Manage and support staff to lead and support student groups to produce engaging events to create a sense of community
Delivering excellent student groups
- Manage the creation of engagement plans with student led committees to increase engagement and support the development of groups in such a way to ensure their sustainability
- Manage the delivery of sporting and society activity across UoGSU
- Develop and deliver training and support for student volunteers who lead sports clubs, societies and other student groups within UoGSU
- Develop an inclusive and welcoming culture across all UoGSU student groups, supporting staff in the Student Communities Department to challenge negative cultures where they might arise
- Create and set annual departmental KPIs, monitoring these and reporting as required on the work of the Department
- Have oversight for member discipline and complaints within student groups contributing to an effective and fair process
