What will you be doing?
We are looking to recruit a committed individual to support the delivery and development of our youth justice practice work, specifically to provide support to police and youth justice services in the delivery of youth diversion.
Youth diversion schemes are a way of addressing low-level criminal behaviour without putting children through the formal criminal justice processing (either through out of court resolutions (OOCRS) or prosecution) that can result in a criminal conviction and other negative consequences. These schemes operate for under-18s in a variety of different models across the country.
Since 2014, we have provided direct support to over 70 YJSs and their local police forces to develop their diversion schemes, as well as supporting the development of new schemes. In this role, you will help provide this support, which will include: delivering multi-agency workshops, assessing practice against the evidence base, reviewing guidance and protocols and providing recommendations for improvement.
The role will also include:

Identifying and supporting areas for practice development;

Working closely with Youth Endowment Fund, Youth Justice Board and the National Police Chiefs’ Council;

Developing practical tools to support practitioners;

Presenting at external events;
-
Contributing to the design and facilitation of practice sharing events and workshops;

Engaging with practitioners, stakeholders and service users to shape delivery and represent the Centre;
-
Working with the Centre’s teams to ensure practice work feeds into our research, policy and communication activities.

Care & Support Digital Technology Officer

As Care & Support Digital Technology Officer, your core responsibilities will include:
- Support teams across Care & Support (C&S) Service delivery to make the best use of technology in their work
- Collaborate with the Digital Technology team to design and deliver comprehensive guides for digital tools and systems, including Sona and the Care Planning system
- Assess the digital proficiency of staff and create tailored training plans to bridge skill gaps
- Act as the primary point of contact for C&S staff seeking support with digital tools, ensuring systems are used effectively to enhance care delivery, record-keeping, and operational efficiency
- Assist in testing and validation processes for technological systems to ensure they meet organisational requirements
- Provide first-line support for technical queries, escalating complex issues as needed
- Ensure the Care Planning system works smoothly and that care records are regularly reviewed
- Maintain the Care Planning system and support C&S Managers in auditing and reviewing care records
- Handle basic troubleshooting, resolves common systems' problems, and provides guidance to users on using systems
- Provide support during the migration to Microsoft 365
- Oversee the Digital Inbox, triaging queries for timely resolution or escalation
- Support the day-to-day administration of digital software platforms for C&S
- Participate in data cleansing and migration to maintain accurate and useful datasets
- Assist in refining system requirement specifications to align with C&S needs
- Configure and set up hardware devices for use with digital systems for the C&S services
- Attend regular meetings with Newlon IT to address support tickets related to C&S services
- Develop and update policies, procedures, and training guides to support the effective use of digital technology systems for C&S
- Document recurring issues and create self-help resources, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides
- Work closely with the Digital Technology and C&S teams to ensure systems meet operational and care delivery needs
- Liaise with SaaS providers to address complex queries and support system enhancements
- Build strong working relationships with C&S managers and staff to promote digital adoption and address challenges proactively

The Role

Key duties and responsibilities
As our senior editorial officer, you'll get to:
-Co-ordinate scheduling, production and quality control for our publications list
-Edit a range of content projects (usually digital, sometimes print)
-Brief and work with authors, freelancers, experts
-Gather research, evidence and data to discover user needs, and guide decisions
-Plan and lead user research and user-testing opportunities
-Help develop content production processes, policies and guidelines
About you:
-Passion for creating accessible, inclusive, user-centred content
-A great editor and copywriter - you can put any idea into concise, clear words (and you can spot a typo a mile away)
-A strong project manager who can keep schedules on track
-Skilled in analytics, user research and user testing methods

About the role
This role is at the heart of the Individual Giving team, delivering dynamic direct marketing and digital fundraising campaigns to recruit the next generation of Christian Aid supporters. You'll be involved in organisation-wide campaigns like Christian Aid Week and emergency appeals, our most powerful moments of the year for bringing in new leads and supporters. With a proactive mindset, you'll take ownership of your own campaigns while collaborating with the Senior Acquisition Officer to advance our overall acquisition strategy. Your creativity and insight will help shape the products, channels, and messaging that not only attract new donors—both regular and one-off—but also lay the foundation for long-term, meaningful relationships that will sustain our mission for years to come.

Your role
