Main purpose of job: To provide specialist advocacy support to a caseload of clients with complex mental health needs, including support around housing, finances, health, domestic abuse and other issues. The role may also involve occasionally supporting CARA groups.

Start date: As soon as possible (subject to Enhanced DBS Check and satisfactory references).

Salary: £28,344 - £30,469 per annum.

Contract: Permanent contract.

Hours: Full time, 35 hours a week.  

Place of work: To work flexibly across CARA premises in Colchester with regular travel across mid and north Essex, including Braintree, Chelmsford, Clacton, Colchester and Dunmow. The post may also involve some remote working, if a suitable home working environment is available.

Holiday: 25 days per year pro-rata, plus additional closure days between Christmas and New Year.

Job Description

To provide advocacy support to a caseload of clients with complex mental health needs, including support around housing, finances, health, domestic abuse and other issues. CARA’s advocacy service focuses primarily on meeting the needs of some of our most complex clients – victims and survivors who would be unable to access other advocacy services.  The role will also involve supporting the wider CARA team in signposting other clients to external advocacy agencies, as appropriate and attendance at CARA groups to provide a drop-in advocacy surgery.

Main Responsibilities

·To manage a caseload of complex clients seeking short and long-term advocacy support, including support around housing, finances, health, domestic abuse and other issues.

·To manage referrals in to CARA’s Advocacy service, ensuring clients meet the referral criteria.

·To provide line-management for CARA’s social care placement worker and potential future advocacy volunteers.

·To assess all new referrals to CARA’s advocacy services, allocating cases to members of the advocacy team, as appropriate.

·To liaise with other agencies, receiving and making referrals and ensuring that they understand CARA’s role and services.

·To gather information about local and national agencies and manage storage and display of this material at CARA.  To work with CARA’s Integrated Support and Advocacy Manager to create a directory of services that can be used by all the CARA team.

·To support CARA’s group work, including attendance to provide advocacy support and supporting other activities.

·To attend regular team meetings and to work with colleagues to further the objectives of CARA.

·To maintain and collate evaluation data, testimonials or case studies for distribution.

·To adhere to CARA’s organisational policies and procedures, including safeguarding procedures.

·To report to the Integrated Support and Advocacy Manager, Head of Operations, Chief Executive Officer and Trustees as required, including the production of written reports.

·To be administratively self-servicing.

·To undertake any other activities as required by the Integrated Support and Advocacy Manager, Head of Operations, Chief Executive Officer and Trustees.

Job Title: Central Clinical Administrator

Salary: c. £25,000 per annum

Hours: 1x FTE, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 5:30pm

This is an exciting new opportunity to join our administration team during a time of growth and development across the charity. The successful candidate will take a key role in ensuring our operations and administration processes run as smoothly and efficiently as possible through central administration cover and project work.

You will be joining a small, dedicated, administration team at James ’ Place and will regularly connect with the wider clinical and management teams. Whilst based within one of our centres, your work will cross-cover all our centres and teams, with some travelling to our other centres expected throughout the year. This role requires someone with both excellent organisational and people skills with the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with a range of stakeholders including men in distress. Your administration skills will be vital, and you will be able to work with a broad range of IT, including shared Outlook inboxes and calendars. You will feel comfortable using the full Office 365 suite and have the necessary organisation skills to maintain the highest standards of record keeping. You will support the wider teams to deliver our effective intervention, therefore an ability to work collaboratively is essential. You will be able to work proactively and have a high level of attention to detail.

About the Role

Length and Salary

This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend, subject to funding. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance. 

This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.

Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel and work outside of core office hours from time to time.

How are staff supported to work remotely?

Apollo Music Projects is a dynamic and successful music education charity, dedicated to bringing live classical music to children who might not otherwise experience it. Since 2004, more than 18,000 children have experienced the magic of live performance through our programmes from classroom to concert hall, culminating in the thrilling spectacle of a full orchestra in concert.

We are looking for a Finance Officer to join our team, to manage our day-to-day finance and bookkeeping activities, as well as to work closely with the team regarding budgeting, and annual submission of the Annual Reports and Accounts.The Finance Officer will also play an important role as part of this small but passionate team in the operations of the charity, from fundraising through to delivery of the programme in the schools.This position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to play a part in helping to shape the charity’s growth and expansion plans.

We are looking for an organised, enterprising and personable individual, passionate about the arts and about creating opportunities for children from a range of backgrounds to listen to and appreciate the magic of live music. This post requires someone who is able to take a high degree of responsibility, and is confident working independently, as this person will for the most part be working remotely. You will have excellent organisational skills, and a high level of precision in financial processes and bookkeeping.

The role will be mainly remote, with regular staff meetings and additional meetings with the CEO or other staff members in central London, and attendance at annual strategy days and some workshops and concerts, and may from time to time entail working outside of office hours.

Key responsibilities include:

·Bookkeeping including recording income and expenses, and other financial transactions

·Processing of invoices and payments to musicians, staff, schools and other external suppliers

·Draft annual organisational budgets and forecasting with the CEO and Treasurer

·Carry out monthly reconciliations and the preparation of monthly financial update reports to the Treasurer

·Prepare quarterly reports for trustees’ board meetings including Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cashflows

·Monitoring of restricted funding

·Developing and maintaining accounting systems; and working closely with the Treasurer to develop new systems where required

·Working closely with the Fundraising Officer regarding fundraising applications and budgets, both general and specific to individual applications;

This role involves one to one support for Carers of people with dementia, providing information, guidance, and advocacy, developing and delivering dementia training for Carers and facilitating support groups. This role also includes coordinating and delivering monthly Dementia Cafes for people with dementia and their Carers, including supervising cafe volunteers.

Your skills and Experience:

The successful applicant will have outstanding organisational and communication skills, be confident delivering training and outreach. They will be able to manage conflicting demands with tight deadlines, be a key team player and committed to working with Carers and volunteers.

Purpose of the Job 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical lead working within our Mental Health Support Teams and wider Children and Young People’s Services. As an integral part of our services, you will ensure the high-quality delivery of mental health interventions for children and young people. You will provide  clinical supervision and support to a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practice and national guidelines. This role involves overseeing the delivery of low-intensity and early intervention mental health support within schools and the community for children and young people between the ages of 5-18 (for young people with SEND under 25). In addition, you will ensure professional development and clinical governance.

Job Summary

The role includes:

• Providing case management and clinical supervision (1:1 and group) and some line management
• Supporting the team to write sensitive and appropriate reports concerning the assessment, formulation and treatment plans of children and young people
• Carrying out clinical case file audits to ensure high quality practice and to support practitioners and trainees
• Ensuring that practitioners and trainees work within their scope of practice and adhere to professional standards
• Ensuring adherence to evidence-based practice in accordance with national guidance and national and local policies (including NHS and educational frameworks)

Job Outline:

CFAB is a national charity and the UK branch of the International Social Service network. CFAB’s social work team helps to resolve cases involving child protection, children in care, unaccompanied children, and vulnerable adults when the case crosses international borders. CFAB social workers and caseworkers offer advice and guidance to individuals and local authorities and help to link social work services between the UK and other countries.

The main purpose of this role is to assist with the day to day running of the CFAB Advice Line and manage a caseload of allocated inter-country cases originating from the UK or overseas.

Key responsibilities:

Finance

· Code and process purchase invoices, staff expenses and obtain authorisation of expenditure as per financial procedures manual.

· Save copies of the Approval Max pdf’s in the Purchase folder.

· Prepare sales invoices to customers on the receipt of instruction from the social work team and email copy of invoice to customers.

· Liaise with the social work team to ensure sales invoice requests are generated for all Opportunities raised in Salesforce.

· Update Salesforce to reflect processed sales invoices.

· Maintain records of sales and purchase invoices in accordance with CFAB’s policies and procedures

· Banking of cheques received.

· Perform credit control duties according to the financial procedures manual.
