In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a strong financial control environment, preparing statutory accounts, and managing the audit processes. You will drive continuous improvement within the financial accounting and control function and play a key role in ensuring their finance services deliver the best outcomes for their residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute appropriate financial controls and ensure the timely and accurate preparation of quarterly and annual statutory accounts for group entities, supported by detailed schedules.
- Manage the delivery of interim and final audits for assigned group entities, including conducting analytical reviews of financial statements.
- Reconcile intercompany accounts, group investments, and borrowings on a monthly basis, maintaining up-to-date statutory account schedules.
- Prepare and submit all regulatory returns, including FVA and Companies House filings.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly group control accounts reconciliations.
- Contribute to the quarterly financial health reports for group entities, providing Management and the Audit & Risk Committee with a comprehensive overview of associated risks.
- Support continuous performance improvements across the financial accounting and control function.
- Maintain accurate and detailed financial data using Excel and in-house systems.
- Collaborate with finance business partners and heads of services to ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly control account reconciliations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- CCAB-recognised accounting qualification qualified or part qualified (ACA qualified is desired).
- Extensive experience in preparing regulatory financial returns and managing filings with FVA and Companies House.
- Proven track record in managing interim and year-end audits, with effective coordination with auditors.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyse complex data, develop solutions, and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience influencing operational activities at both tactical and strategic levels.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with D365 and Power BI is desired.

As an Employment Specialist at Twining Enterprise, you will play a crucial role in our IPS Workwise Employment Services programme. The service provides employment support to people across Northeast London, with serious mental health challenges, to gain and sustain work, using the internationally recognized Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our clients, changing their lives by guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence. A day in the role might include client meetings in person or online, reviewing client documents and providing feedback, following up on new client referrals, completing client records using Twining and partner databases, completing performance/progress reports, liaising with employers about potential job vacancies, going to jobs fairs, and liaising with referral partners.

The Senior Public Affairs and Research Officer will drive policy change to increase surplus food redistribution by engaging with stakeholders across government, media, industry, and academia. They will support FareShare’s public affairs strategy by producing well-researched briefings, organizing impactful events, and fostering relationships with key partners.

The Senior Public Affairs and Research Officer will be critical in advancing FareShare’s policy agenda, as outlined in the manifesto. Working closely with the Public Affairs, Policy and Campaigns Consultant, you will lead efforts to engage influential stakeholders, create compelling content, and coordinate high-impact events. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence national policy and contribute to meaningful change in the food redistribution sector.

Theatres Trust, the national advisory body for theatres, is looking for a Theatres Adviser with knowledge and experience of theatre buildings and the wider theatre sector, to be part of its small team of Advisers.
Working closely with the Architecture, Planning and Theatres at Risk Advisers, you will bring your expertise as a theatre industry professional at a senior level to provide advice, guidance and signposting to theatre operators, owners, local authorities, campaign groups, developers and other stakeholders to support the resilience and wellbeing of the UK’s theatres.
This will cover a range of topics including governance, viability, operating models, business planning, ownership and leases, income generation, fundraising, and capital projects. You will also manage our grant giving programmes to support theatres to make building improvements and will work alongside the Director to advocate for measures which support the wellbeing of theatres and promote the value of theatres in placemaking.

Reporting to the Strategic Director for External Affairs, this is a pivotal role which will tell NCB’s story and the difference we make from the playground to parliament, analysing, influencing and ultimately changing the complex systems on which children and families rely. The postholder will position NCB across the sector as a trusted convener, a catalyst for change and a champion of children and families.
The post is part of the NCB Enhanced Strategic Leadership Team and is accountable for harnessing NCB’s specialisms within a broad understanding of children’s lives, providing high level policy and political analysis.

About the Role
We are recruiting a Standards Officer to join our small and friendly Standards team.
The role of the Standards function is to monitor newspaper, magazine and digital publishers’ compliance with the Editors’ Code of Practice and to take action to address concerns about editorial standards, including by undertaking investigations into serious standards failures as necessary. It’s a busy team that coordinates closely with others at IPSO and outside the organisation, engaging with members of the public, journalists, and experts on a wide variety of subjects. Some recent issues that the standards team has worked on are reporting of sexual offences, suicide, major incidents, and domestic abuse.
As the Standards Officer, you will carry out a range of tasks, including analysing information drawn from complaints received by IPSO, supporting the annual statements process and engaging with a range of representative groups who have concerns about press reporting. You will work closely with the Head of Standards and other colleagues across IPSO.
About You
This is a role for someone who is interested in news and journalism, has excellent communication and analytical skills, and enjoys working with others to achieve a shared purpose. Candidates who demonstrate relevant experience will be given an opportunity to demonstrate their skills through a written exercise prior to short-listing for interview. With funding made available by Islington Council, we provide wraparound support in the form of orientation workshops; health and wellbeing; information relating to the asylum process; ESOL classes; social activities and befriending.
