Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.

Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.

This role will be prison-based. Job Purpose
With 10 years to achieve Agenda 2030, the SDG 6 targets on clean water, decent sanitation and good hygiene are among the furthest behind. Achieving universal, sustainable WASH will require a major mobilisation of resources, public demand and political will. Reporting to the Global Campaigns Director, this pivotal role works across the WaterAid federation to achieve the political and policy changes needed to ensure universal access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene.

The Global Head of Campaigns will lead WaterAid's campaigning on one of our two global advocacy priorities (currently climate). They will drive our strategic direction and, create the campaigns plan to embed WASH in the climate change agenda, building up political momentum, broadening out our campaign alliances and influential champions. The post-holder will be a champion for campaigning within the organisation, ensuring we achieve a greater impact than the sum of our parts through effective and strategic campaigning across countries, regions and international levels to deliver WaterAid's mission of WASH for Everyone Everywhere by 2030.

Team Description
The Campaigns Team plays a leadership role across the WaterAid Federation to drive the design and delivery of WaterAid's major advocacy and campaigns efforts to achieve SDG 6. We deliver an ambitious agenda, grounded in national level change and impact, using a variety of campaigning tactics, including advocacy, lobbying and working with influential people and organisations

Accountabilities

Key accountabilities will remain flexible. Work plans, and targets may change significantly according to political and advocacy priorities. Overall, this role will;

Campaigns leadership

• Campaigning leadership of one of the two WaterAid global advocacy priorities (currently climate) in a way that delivers impact.
• Alongside our International Affairs team, lead WaterAid's international influencing strategy, working with other teams to drive our engagement in key global political processes that will drive forward our advocacy agenda, with a clear vision of what success looks like and how it contributes to the theory of change
• Build and lead public engagement and campaigning strategy to drive awareness and action on our global advocacy priority.
• Lead the transition from policy to public campaigning, working with communications colleagues to turn policy into public messaging and events.
• Lead the building of political support and champions with influential stakeholders, working with teams across WaterAid as relevant
• Lead the building of relationships and joint strategies with campaign coalitions, allies and partnerships that expands our network into the women's health/climate change sectors, complements our advocacy approaches, and ultimately drives further progress on our mutual campaign interests

Campaigns operations

• Project Manage the delivery of the global advocacy priority, leading the execution plan, holding team members to account, chairing meetings and managing the budget.
• Provide operational leadership on cross-federation and cross-department collaboration on the global advocacy priority, to ensure the organisation has the buy-in and collaborates effectively for maximum impact.
• Work with WaterAid members, media and communications team, regional teams and country programmes on strategically important campaign moments to ensure strong strategic value and high-quality delivery
• Working with the fundraising teams to identify a pipeline of funding opportunities, collaborate in the development of fundraising proposals as opportunities emerge.
• Budget management responsibilities for the team
• Be an active participant in the Advocacy Steering Group (co-chair), the federation-wide group that has oversight of the roll out of both the global advocacy priorities, and raise up major issues to the Global Campaigns Director

• Line manage a Senior Campaigner that drives forward WaterAid campaign priorities and matrix manage a Campaigns Officer on specific projects (and external consultants as needed)

The Communications Co-ordinator will play a key role in helping to build, promote and retain VCH’s public profile with a diverse range of audiences, helping us to drive volunteer sign-ups in Hackney, and promote our services to a wide range of stakeholders.

We have recently launched a whole new website and branding, so this is an exciting time to join our team. The Factory Academy Programme Delivery Lead will play a crucial role in supporting students to achieve their learning outcomes while fostering an inclusive environment that prioritises openness and empowerment for all individuals involved. On top of this, the Programme Delivery Lead will drive the development of Factory Academy's college, community, and youth networks, to ensure that people all over Greater Manchester can access our programmes.

We know kinship carers are strong, capable and fiercely determined to ensure they get what they need to support their kinship family. And we want to support them to feel confident and empowered to do that. Kinship has been awarded funding to develop the first ever training programme for kinship carers. FearFree delivers services across the South West for victims and perpetrators of domestic abuse and victims of sexual violence. We provide responsive, victim focused, and trauma informed support and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.

Following a successful trial in several surgeries, the Interpersonal Trauma Response Service (ITRS) is now being rolled out across Devon, Plymouth and Torbay.  This makes it a very exciting opportunity to take ownership and be part of an innovative new service, delivering real improvements to the local community.

The aim of the ITRS is to improve the health, wellbeing and safety of people who have been exposed to trauma arising from sexual violence and abuse and/or domestic abuse. We provide adults whose health is being negatively impacted by interpersonal trauma with appropriate support. We also provide support to children affected by domestic abuse, and provide people who are using abusive behaviours with appropriate support and interventions.

Your team will provide appropriate training to GP surgeries to improve identification, enquiry and response for patients. The Specialist Children and Young People’s Advisor will work within a multi-agency system to provide trauma informed, proactive, person-centered service for children and young people and their families who have experienced domestic abuse, empowering choice through informed decision making.

Our Interpersonal Trauma Response Service brings together dynamic, passionate and committed individuals who share a common focus on delivering high quality, person-centered and trauma informed support to patient’s referred by partner GP Surgeries across Devon. The team have a responsibility to work with multi-agency partners, building awareness and understanding of domestic abuse.

This is a fixed term role for 12 months.

Key elements of the role include:

· Providing high-quality practical and emotional support and outreach to children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse

· Risk assessing and helping to keep children and young people safe through safety planning

· Ensuring the voice children and young people informs every stage of our support provision

· Delivering educational, time-bound, sessions

· Enabling children and young people to access statutory and other services where appropriate

· Engaging with and supporting the MARAC and MASH process, to ensure that the voice of victims is heard

Key responsibilities:

· Accompany service users, when needed, to other relevant agencies and support them in their interactions with these agencies.

· To work alongside colleagues to deliver a whole family approach, including colleagues in other teams and locations.

· Be proactive with your line manager to carry out periodic case reviews.

Practice-based work:

• Manage a pipeline of funding proposals, working with health board colleagues to support the development of ideas and high-quality proposals.

• Support development and delivery of funding streams and opportunities relevant to the needs of the children’s hospital and as a means of attracting impactful projects from a range of staff, including annual open call-outs.

• Carry out the initial assessment of proposals and identify strengths/weaknesses and work with applicants to address these in order to prepare applications for plans for submission for funding approval.

This role is part of the Wiltshire Adult Domestic Abuse Team, which provides support to people and their families who have been impacted by domestic abuse.

Working within the team, you will work directly with victims of domestic abuse, providing them with support and educational sessions to increase their safety and the safety of any of their children.

Offering support to standard to medium risk victims of domestic abuse, key tasks will include:

• To provide high quality, person centred, trauma informed support to people impacted by domestic abuse.
• Being part of a team providing a whole family approach.
• Support people to increase their personal safety.
• Support people’s personal empowerment to take control of their lives.
• Undertaking risk assessments and collaboratively developing safety plans.
• Give practical and emotional support to families who are experiencing domestic abuse in the community.
• Deliver and facilitate groups for people impacted by domestic abuse, including the Inspiring Families Course (including evening delivery where required).

You will work closely with Children’s Social Care, offering professional consultation regarding domestic abuse cases and attending team meetings where required. You will work closely with local Social Workers to increase the safety and stabilisation of people, by offering specialist domestic abuse educational sessions to the non-abusing parent, either in a one-to-one or group setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide a high-quality, person centred, trauma informed service and empowerment to those who need it.
• Manage a caseload of standard to medium risk cases, providing virtual and face to face support.
• Complete an initial assessment of individuals’ and families' needs with corresponding support plans to meet these needs so, preventing escalation of difficulties.
• Triage new referrals, ensuring comprehensive safety and safeguarding advice and guidance on initial contact.
• Undertake regular caseload review meetings with individuals and families during home and community visits to ensure they are fully supported to meet their personal goals.
• Be responsible for running groups, adhering to a clear manual and supporting second facilitators.
• Complete pre and post group assessments.
• Attend regular meetings with Children’s Social Care and offer professional consultation to Social Workers regarding cases involving domestic abuse.
• Assess, manage and review risks to service users, colleagues and self, including the use of the DASH Risk Assessment, and professional judgement.
• Attend Children’s Social Care multi-agency meetings such as child protection conferences and core groups, offering your professional perspective and provide written reports for Child Protection proceedings.
