The main purpose of the Learning and Outreach Officer is to enable us to develop, expand and strengthen our programme offering. The Learning and Outreach Officer will work with children, young people and various stakeholders to identify gaps in provisions and work to ensure they are meeting the needs by improving the activities, programmes and learning opportunities.
Our beautiful Community Garden emerged from a local campaign by residents to develop a food growing project for the community. With the help of hundreds of volunteers, St. Raphael’s Edible Garden now has a wildlife pond, a learning yurt space, a fruit tree orchard, compost bins, a pizza oven, plenty of raised beds and a stunning pergola. Although the garden is managed and run by Sufra NW London, it is here to benefit the community. The garden provides a therapeutic space from where we can invest in the skills, health and wellbeing of local people whilst improving the appearance of the estate and giving residents an opportunity to come together, have fun and grow food.

As advice services, housing and support providers are increasingly overwhelmed, we plan to offer our own support for our guests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
·Build a relationship via phone, email and online calls with hosted guests to help them progress their move on options.You will sometimes use an interpreter for these calls.
·Advising guests of their rights to statutory or private rented accommodation.
·Working with guests to apply to housing providers, asylum or MSVCC accommodation when entitled.
·Signposting to other sources of support for guests.
·Ensure Hosting Coordinators and external guest support workers are fully informed of interactions and plans.
· Collaborative Working with housing providers, external support providers, guests and the Hope at Home hosting team.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring a specialist women’s refuge, Service Manager. Someone who really cares about the rights of women and their children to join our new service in West London. This role is an opportunity for a leader to support and manage a refuge accommodation for women and children surviving domestic abuse many of whom are living with trauma .
The service provides a much needed safe space and support for women to feel empowered in their healing journey and to feel secure in their independence, strength and skill. The successful candidate will support in leading the service which spans over 3 buildings and will develop their team which consists of support mentors and children and family workers. We are seeking a passionate, driven and motivated colleague to lead this service in a trauma informed and inclusive way.
You will the have overall responsibility of your service and team, aiming to deliver a high quality, trauma informed service to your residents. Your role is to ensure full contract and regulatory compliance whilst being a role model/leader for your team to achieve KPI's and other requirements as per the service needs.
Shift/Working pattern: 37.5 hours a week in service Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, you may also be required to work outside these hours as per the service requirements and needs. You will also take part in our on call service.

KEY CRITERIA
What we are looking for:

About you
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Marketing and Communications Manager to be responsible for the marketing and external communication of all RHN services and charitable activity. This is a specialist marketing and communications role and your primary focus will be on developing and running marketing campaigns, producing promotional materials and identifying opportunities for growth. BEfriend is seeking a Befriending Coordinator to join our Befriending Project aimed at combatting isolation across the London Borough of Ealing.
We have been operating in Ealing since 1994, and are proud to celebrate our 30th anniversary this year! Our Befriending Project supports people who are isolated and experiencing chronic loneliness. It provides a lifeline to people living alone who might go for days at a time not seeing a single person.
Key Tasks:
- Client Assessments: You will support a caseload of clients from their initial referral through to the end of their time with us. This will involve processing referrals, conducting assessments, matching with volunteers and conducting ongoing six-monthly reviews. You will provide regular telephone contact whilst they are on our waiting list and signpost to appropriate services as required.
- Matching and Coordination: You will interview potential volunteer befrienders and work with the Lead Coordinator to successfully link them with individuals in Ealing who are experiencing isolation. You will monitor the matches through monthly reports from the volunteers and six-monthly client reviews.
- Support and Supervision: You will provide support to the volunteers when required, particularly during the first month of their match. After that you will conduct six-monthly reviews and ad hoc support.

The Junction is an out of hours service, open 365 evenings a year, to support and assist individuals experiencing a mental health concern. Beacon for Rare Diseases is seeking a Senior Scientific Projects Officer to join our established team and support us through the next stage in our charity's development.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
As Senior Scientific Projects Officer, you will be pivotal in delivering Beacon’s scientific training initiatives. Your role will involve creating and delivering educational content through written guides, webinars, and workshops, aimed at equipping patient group leaders and academics with the knowledge to contribute effectively to the development of new therapies for rare diseases.
Alongside the Scientific Projects Manager and other key team members, you’ll work across two main areas of the charity’s work:
- REMEDi4ALL: A European-wide drug repurposing platform, aiming to expedite the use of existing medicines to address unmet clinical needs. Collaborating with our European partners, you will drive the creation of training materials focused on patient engagement and education within the drug repurposing community.
- Rare Disease Research: Supporting the development of the UK rare disease research ecosystem, alongside LifeArc’s newly funded Rare Disease Translational Research Centres. You will help establish new standards in patient-centred research, disseminating findings and insights from this innovative network to accelerate rare disease treatment development in the UK.
Across these projects, you will manage the development of educational materials, including writing and reviewing content, supporting and coordinating volunteers and pro bono contributors, planning and delivering live training events, and assessing needs through feedback and stakeholder engagement.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make a difference in the charity sector and thrive in a small team environment. The successful candidate will have a strong scientific understanding and experience in creating educational training materials, and/or medical communication. Your work will be crucial in driving forward Beacon’s mission of building a united rare disease community with patient groups at its heart.

- Designing curricula and programmes for live training sessions for patient group leaders, academics, and other stakeholders.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION
This is a role suitable for someone with, ideally, 2 or more years of experience within science or medical communication - this may be in the form of medical writing, developing and delivering training or medical science liaison work - and looking to contribute to a non-profit environment.

Role Requirements
STL1 – Provide support for Learning Activities set by Classteacher & Senior Specialist Teaching Assistant

- To demonstrate our School Ethos and Pupil Charter throughout the School day.

Job title: Patient Support & Advocacy Officer
Reporting to: Regional Project Manager
Location: Dorset, Somerset, Bristol and Gloucester. Based at home, situated in the region to regularly travel to assigned renal units. Regional coverage to be agreed with successful candidates based upon their location.
Hours: Full or Part time hours up to 35 hour per week. Must be sufficiently flexible to work irregular hours as demanded by the requirements of the post.

An opportunity to provide practical, emotional, and financial support for anyone affected by chronic kidney disease. You will engage with kidney patients, their families, and carers as a source of information, support, and advocacy, in order to improve care and wellbeing outcomes for patients.
This may be in the hospital or other care setting, on the phone, online or face-to-face in a mutually acceptable public place.
The role will cover (as part of a team) the main renal units and satellite dialysis units across your designated area in Dorset, Somerset, Bristol and Gloucester, and frequent travel and attendance is expected at some sites.
