Key information:
Location: Remote working. (UK only) Must be able to attend a minimum of 5 mandatory meetings per year (includes overnight stay for 2-day meetings) at our office in Shrewsbury and occasional meetings elsewhere.

Salary: Between £30,000 – £35,000 a year depending on experience.

Job Purpose
To maximise income for Village Water’s work from corporates (UK and International) & to develop and manage your own portfolio of existing corporates and research and prioritise new opportunities ensuring high quality stewardship to secure ongoing support. This role will focus on networking, delivering compelling pitches to corporates, organise and support corporate fundraising events, preparing high-quality funding applications and reports, providing exceptional account management, and fostering cross-team collaboration.
Responsibilities
Corporate Fundraising

Develop, implement, and sustain a dynamic corporate fundraising portfolio, maintaining a well-organised pipeline of funding opportunities.

Attend and contribute to networking events, while actively organising events to foster relationships with new and existing corporate donors.

Identify and pursue corporate funding opportunities by aligning proposals with companies' ESG policies, emphasising shared values and potential partnerships.

Establish and nurture relationships with Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) to unlock new support avenues.

Work closely with colleagues to develop compelling proposals and reports that effectively communicate the organisation's impact and funding needs.

Coordinate with monitoring and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting to donors, adhering to grant conditions and budget requirements.

Maintain precise and well-managed donor information in the organisation’s database to facilitate efficient tracking and follow-up.

Organise pop-up events for and with corporate partners to enhance engagement and visibility.

Skills and experience:

Demonstrated ability to secure funds from new corporate partners, with experience in winning awards exceeding £10,000.

- To assist with the identification of and engagement with the wider alumni community

About this role
The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will ensure that communications and marketing priorities are implemented across the organisation to build brand awareness and reputation, increase reach and engagement across key stakeholder groups (funders, learners, coordination bodies, strategic partners), support fundraising activities, as well as contribute to RedR’s positioning within relevant sectors.The post holder will have exceptional communication and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail and an interest in learning and development within RedR’s thematic areas.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Development and implementation of yearly comms and marketing plan with support from Associate Director of Business Development and Programmes
- Produce regular website, social media and communications content as well as newsletters to maintain engagement and improve our reach across our members, supporters, funders and other target audiences
- Website maintenance and improvements in coordination with relevant staff, centralising efforts to ensure the functionality of the website and key integrations with third party platforms
- Support programme staff with creation of new resources and materials for our projects Support fundraising efforts including public appeals through content development, design and project management with external suppliers

Social Media and website
- Maintain and build RedR UK’s social media presence, ensuring social media channels are populated with engaging content with a consistent, strong voice reflecting RedR’s strategy to maximise potential for exposure among target audiences
- Manage a calendar of social media and website activity
- Work with the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development to create and develop campaigns (including fundraising and awareness raising campaigns) to be run across social media platforms
- Monitor and report on engagement, number of followers and website referrals to inform best practice for post timing and content
- Act as the primary point of contact for queries received through social media and inbound emails, ensuring they are responded to appropriately and in a timely manner
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of RedR UK’s website, including making edits and creating new content
- Ensure the website content is proofread and accurate, and any broken links or errors are promptly corrected
- Website (wordpress) maintenance and improvements in coordination with relevant staff (and external developer where relevant), centralising efforts to ensure the functionality of the website and key integrations with third party platforms
- Work with external website developer to resolve issues with the website and further develop design of website to accommodate emerging needs.
Marketing
- Stay abreast of comms and marketing trends and propose new and innovative approaches to increase outreach, engagement and fundraising income
- Produce in-house marketing materials and templates including event brochures, proposal templates, illustrations for reports/proposals, graphics and videos using platforms such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint and other editing tools
- Produce and disseminate high quality regular newsletters, and support with production of speeches and letters
- Identify inspiring impact stories and produce written and occasional films case studies and other content for use by the Fundraising and Programmes teams, supporting
- Support programme teams wishing to undertake communications activities as part of a grant/funded project; ensure that institutional donors’ communications activities and visibility requirements are respected
- Lead on emergency communications, in close coordination with the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development
- Champion and monitor the use of RedR brand and style guidelines; to develop messaging guidelines and ensure they are adhered to across the organisation and to support other departments to develop their messaging and material.

- Lead and coordinate the drafting of RedR’s Annual Report, liaising with staff across the organisation for input

Job Purpose
Oceana is looking for a talented and motivated campaign officer to join our team at a critical and exciting moment for our ocean & climate campaign. The position can be based in Oceana’s UK flexible workspaces in Cornwall or London. Regular travel may be required to meet team members and stakeholders in geographically diverse locations.
The role will be directly supporting our campaign to end new oil and gas drilling in UK waters, and drive forward our Ocean Alliance Against Offshore Drilling, a coalition of over 50 organisations united behind this goal. You will help Oceana to embed our role as a leading marine organisation in the marine conservation space the UK on this crucial issue, and drive forward bold campaign actions that inspire meaningful change. This is a very exciting time for the energy transition in UK seas and Oceana is leading the marine front against further expansion of oil and gas.
Eligible candidates should have some experience in campaigning and communications, but we’re equally looking for passion, motivation and a drive to protect the ocean. You should be a self-starter, with a strong ability to work independently and as part of a small but growing team.
Role Overview
Ø Support the delivery of Oceana’s Oil & Gas campaign, working with the relevant campaign lead and other colleagues.
Ø Convene and coordinate the Ocean Alliance Against Offshore Drilling , including organising in person and online meetings and establishing joint alliance campaign plans and activities.
Ø Gather evidence and insights to support lobbying and campaign actions, and public mobilisation.
Ø Manage specific projects within our Oil & Gas campaign, and draft campaign letters, materials and briefings as directed by the Campaign Lead.
Ø Commission and manage consultants to produce creative campaigning outputs, working closely with the rest of the team.
Ø Work closely with the UK Communications team at Oceana to ensure that all campaign communications are in line with Oceana’s brand, campaign goals, science, and evidence.
Ø Actively participate in key policy and campaign events to defend and advance Oceana campaign goals.
Ø Build strong external relationships and represent Oceana to ensure we advance our goals with a wide range of stakeholders, from the general public to politicians.
Ø Represent Oceana externally in relevant networks, with partners and in the media as needed.
Ø Regularly monitor campaign progress in line with agreed KPIs and contribute to wider organisational monitoring and evaluation processes as required.

Candidate Requirements
Education and work experience:
Ø At least two years of professional experience in campaigning.

Ø Familiarity with marine and climate issues, regulations and policies in the UK, as well as with key institutions and decision-making processes.
Ø Experience working with or coordinating NGO networks/coalitions on a campaign issue
Ø A passion for UK seas and delivering a healthy ocean in general.
Ø Degree or masters in environmental or marine science, or a related field (Desirable but not essential).

Candidate Requirements
Education and work experience:
Ø At least two years of professional experience in campaigning.

As Research Assistant for the Children and Young People’s Engagement Team, you will be responsible for providing vital support to a dynamic team working with children, young people and parents all over the UK.
The Research Assistant will be responsible for providing qualitative and quantitative analysis of views, voices and experiences of children, young people and their families in relation to child health topics. *Hybrid working is fully negotiable (e.g. number of days working from home), but with all employees there is the expectation that on occasion there will be a need to attend the London and Southampton offices.
About Beyond the Streets
A wonderful opportunity exists to join the energetic, friendly, and talented Beyond the Streets staff team, dedicated to achieving the aim of living in a UK where women aren’t compelled to sell sex; free from coercion, violence, poverty, and other abuses. We also work towards the aim of ensuring that those that are involved in selling sex can access effective services without experiencing barriers such as stigma, a lack of understanding, and judgemental attitudes.
The charity formed over 20 years ago, and we’re now a leading specialist within our theme. Beyond the Streets works in 2 key areas:
1) Direct Support: We provide direct support for women involved in selling sex via two frontline services: 1) Beyond Support, based in Southampton (a national remote telephone service offering long-term 1:1 support with trained Women’s Support Worker); 2) Door of Hope, based in east London supporting women involved in selling sex on street via street outreach, drop-ins, advocacy to gain/maintain access to services, 1:1 Psychotherapy sessions, and 1:1 long-term support
2) Impact Work: We run training courses for third sector / statutory professionals to increase awareness and educate on women’s support needs. In partnership we produce research and resources and reports, involving lived experience voices, to support better access to services for women and encourage systemic change. We also host an affiliate network of 30+ organisations nationwide.
About the role…
We’re looking for someone with energy, motivation, and experience to be able to make an instant and vital impact on the organisation; someone who can understand the big picture, has good attention to detail and can make things happen. The role will focus on increasing income from donations and sustaining our current grant income; both playing a key role in maintaining our frontline services and impact work. With plans around developing our supporter base and growing our number of regular donors already in place, you will not only have the opportunity to quickly become involved in key activities but also the chance to influence these plans through your own expertise. The position will report to the Grants Manager and work closely with the Comms and Marketing Officer as well as beside the wider Beyond the Streets team.
You’ll need…
- experience of writing compelling copy to inspire people to donate
- experience of working in a charity fundraising environment
- experience of leading on digital fundraising events/campaigns and community fundraising appeals
- understanding of violence against women & girls and be passionate about making a difference
- strong interpersonal skills so you’ll quickly build rapports with internal and external stakeholders
- to be a self-motivator as well as keen collaborator, who enjoys working within a team and thrives on achieving goals
- to be a creative thinker, who is solution focused, with a natural attention to detail

Accessing appropriate support at university will shape a student's experience and it is important that support is available for those who need it. We are pleased to be supporting a prestigious London University in their search for a temporary, full time (35 hours per week) Disability Advisor. The role is running until the 10 th of January 2025 and offers a hybrid working model, with 3 days per week based on-site and the remainder remote.
Key Responsibilities for this role include:
- Managing a large caseload, providing coordinated practical support and advice, assisting students with complex needs and co-occurring conditions, identifying appropriate and individualised support packages, including reasonable adjustments.
- Supporting with the day-to-day administration ensuring student support needs are met, including administrating the dyslexia screening to diagnoses process and processing Disabled Students' Allowance applications.
- Working with students daily to support them, and signposting/referring them to external services, where appropriate, to ensure access to relevant support.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date student records.
- Facilitating the provision of appropriate adaptations and support, including the coordination of non-medical support.
- Ensure student enquiries are responded to in a timely manner.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of efficient systems and procedures for students applying for specialist disability related funding.
- Identifying and reporting Safeguarding concerns to the Safeguarding Team in a timely manner.
- Reporting concerns of risk to self, where appropriate, to the Mental Health Advisory or Counselling Services.
- Actively participating in and contributing to the development and delivery of workshops, activities, resources and the Wellness Review.
To be considered for this position, you should possess:
- Previous experience in a similar role in higher education or professional disability advice environment.
- Experience handling, prioritising and problem solving a range of enquiries.
- Strong relationship-building skills, and confidence liaising and engaging with a variety of stakeholders, in a fast-paced environment.
- An empathetic understanding of the challenges faced by people with disabilities.
- A commitment to EDI practices.
- Demonstratable ability to manage and maintain professional boundaries.
- Ability to advocate for those with disabilities.
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles.
- Knowledge of GDPR and procedures related to data protection.
- Excellent organisational and IT skills, including usage of Microsoft Office packages.
