We’re seeking an enterprising and accomplished Fundraising Manager to join our team at a pivotal moment in the charity’s history, with the opportunity to work on a stand-out campaign that will secure the legacy of Westonbirt Arboretum.
Our fundraising approach is due for a shake up, after we’ve spent the last couple of years refocussing our efforts and consolidating our approach. We’re looking for a candidate that can continue to build on our successes, boosting the donations and opportunities we already have, but importantly can take the lead on launching a stand-out year of fundraising to celebrate our 40 years as a charity. It’s a role that needs creative vision and dedicated delivery to make 2025 everything that it has the potential to be.
We’re embarking on an intensive 3-year fundraising strategy that will enable Westonbirt Arboretum to achieve their 10-year vision. We work with a bid writing agency to secure all major grants, and we’re looking for a Fundraising Manager that can add equal attention to our individual giving strategy. The successful candidate will manage our existing fundraising real estate including our benches, leaves for life, and Wills & legacies campaigns, while adding a fresh view on opportunities for our birthday celebrations next year. You will Chair our Joint Fundraising Committee with our partners at Forestry England; lead on the pipeline development; project manage activities across trust & grant fundraising, individual giving, major donors and appeals; and support the CEO with awarding grants and reporting the impact.
The role reports to the CEO and is responsible for developing and implementing our fundraising strategy as well as managing relationships with key stakeholders.

Essential skills & experience
- At least 3 years of experience in fundraising

We're looking for an empathic and energetic Helpline Co-ordinator to join the Helpline Management Team. You'll be working closely with our Helpline Supervisor and Helpline ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor), co-ordinating the smooth running of all aspects of TST’s Helpline service supporting survivors of rape, sexual abuse, harassment and bullying.
You will also provide administrative, practical and emotional support for TST’s survivor forum meetings. Experience of supporting group sessions will be an advantage.
You will ideally have a background in recruiting, training and supporting volunteers. Effective communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential and you will be able to work sensitively and confidently with difficult topics.
You will be responsible for supporting and attending internal meetings, co-ordinating rotas and supporting the Helpline and Call Handlers during opening hours.
You will maintain accurate records and part of your role will include gathering statistics for monitoring and reporting processes.
You will ideally have previous experience of working on a helpline and/or working in the voluntary sector, but please don’t be put off from applying if you don’t meet all requirements. Somerset Sight, your local sight loss charity, is expanding. We are looking for a positive can- do person with passion and energy to raise the charity’s profile whilst supporting our face to face service provision throughout the county.
The person will be well organised, proactive, empathetic and have the ability to work flexibly and in partnership with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders. They will grow and support our existing social groups many of which are led by volunteers, lead on expansion of additional groups with the help of volunteers, and increase other provision, such as IT and cookery classes, throughout the county, using our model based on existing learning.
The person will make regular contributions to publicity and communications, raising the profile and sustainability of the charity and all it does, by gathering authentic stories for publication and sharing.
This will be a 24 hour per week flexible role, head office based and reporting to the office manager, with much face to face contact with stakeholders.

What you’ll do
Individual Giving
· Using a storytelling technique develop and deliver all aspects of direct marketing appeals ensuring effective and emotive copywriting and by working collaboratively with colleagues and external suppliers to deliver within budget and meet income targets.
· Co-ordinate all aspects of Age Scotland’s donor acquisition programme to develop and build our individual donor base using traditional and digital channels.
· Lead the creation and implementation of donor journeys to recruit, retain, upgrade and re-activate donors. Review and make recommendations where appropriate.
· Explore, develop and test new ways of recruiting new donors and generating income.
· Lead the creation of a strategy to re-activate lapsed donors.

· Lead on tracking individual giving income to meet targets and ensuring costs are within budget.
· Project and forecast income and contribute to annual operating plan.
· Ensure the website is up to date with individual giving fundraising activity.
· Ensure all individual giving activity is run in compliance with the Chartered Institute of Fundraising codes of practice.
· Maintain accurate and up to date records and accept responsibility for the safe and secure handling and storage of confidential information, and in accordance with GDPR and Age Scotland’s own data protection policies.
· Work with the fundraising and database administrator to ensure gift aid claims are processed accurately and timely.
Other Duties
· When required, support in taking donations or setting up regular donations over the phone.

We are looking for candidates with experience in strategy, internal communications and improving operational efficiency. Ideally, you will also have knowledge or experience of working for the voluntary sector or a charity.

Main role and responsibilities
The Business Operations Manager will:
· Support the COO with overseeing strategy delivery, ensuring the coordination of strategic projects and providing project support where needed.

They will take responsibility for the co-ordination, planning and administration across the L&OD Team, acting as a first point of contact for all queries ensuring a responsive and customer focused service. About the Role:

What the job involves
The Health Information Coordinator is a vital role supporting a busy team that creates health information and communications for men who have been diagnosed with prostate cancer or those at high risk of developing it.
You’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in keeping all the health information on the website up-to-date and in line with the Patient Information Forum’s PIF TICK quality standard. As well as coordinating and editing the team’s social media communications. Supporting the promotion of our resources both internally and externally, you’ll help to evaluate the effectiveness of the service we provide.
The role is responsible for making sure all our health information publications are in stock, so we deliver an effective health information service for men and their families affected by prostate cancer. You’ll also develop and maintain administrative systems to support the team’s work including financial processing.

We’re looking for a pro-active and highly organised person to join our team. You’ll be self-motivated and able to multi-task, supporting a busy team while keeping on top of your own projects. You’ll have experience of communicating in plain English across multiple platforms including social media and our website. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop an in-depth understanding of how medical and health-related information is produced to standard guidelines.
