What the job involves

This is an exciting new role within our Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team. The Senior Strategic Communications and Campaigns Manager will be leading strategic content and public affairs within Prostate Cancer UK.

You’ll drive all our major campaigns and the development of the multiyear messaging narrative, all while directing and collaborating with a diverse and talented team of specialists. Your work within strategic communications and campaigns will inspire action and drive positive change for men with, or at risk of, prostate cancer.

Working closely with the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand you’ll outline and develop our narrative to our audience and communities, ensuring our campaigns are integrated across the Communications directorate and the wider organisation. You’ll manage the strategic content and public affairs teams as the key point of contact of our external public affairs agency.

We are looking for an exceptional Finance & Operations Director, for an interim one-year period, to help us ensure that all aspects of the charity and the Centre run smoothly and efficiently, and to provide effective financial management.

Our Centre houses an amazing collection of 25,000 children’s books as well as being a training and event centre for teachers, publishers and everyone else who works with children’s literature and cares about children’s literacy. To:

1. Coordinate and develop a wellbeing programme that supports the mental health and wellbeing of NST service users and the wider Braunstone community of LE3 1.

2. Support individual service user wellbeing by referring into activity delivered by NST and other local community partners.

3. Undertake regular wellbeing check-ins with service users to monitor progress and impact of engagement with wellbeing activity.

4. Update the company’s CRM system with participant information in line with GDPR and record progress and impact.

6. Support the Service Manager to maintain accurate budgets and financial records especially for monitoring funding grant returns.

Specific responsibilities

An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:

• Maintain accurate HR employee files and ensure secure storage of all employee documents. Remove HR data no longer required in line with our storage process as directed by the HR Manager.
• Manage the new starters administration process (right to work checks, reference requests, offer letters and contract of employments, DBS checks and other related tasks linked to this process).

The Training Officer (Accreditation) is critical to the work of the College, as you will provide services to both trainees and Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR)/portfolio applicants, supporting them in completing their training programmes and specialist registration.  

As Training Officer (Accreditation), you will develop a thorough understanding of the RCEM Curriculum and CESR processes, ensuring that all trainees and applicants receive high-quality support and advice in line with continuous developments and changes to College standards and GMC regulation. This is an important role for the College as you will contribute to the efficient regulation and support of specialist training in Emergency Medicine.

Responsible for facilitating and processing Certification for the Completion of Training (CCT), Specialist Registration and CESR applications, including formal notifications to the GMC and coordination of CESR panel reviews, you will provide documentation for GMC CCT Quality Assurance audits and maintain detailed records relating to the CESR process.

Reporting to the Training Manager, you will lead on the recruitment, induction, training and monitoring of CESR evaluators, developing strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including consultants, trainee doctors, Health Education regions, deaneries and lay members.

Degree qualified or with equivalent experience, you should have an extensive background in administering training programmes and complex processes, and have a strong understanding of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software packages. You should also be capable of collating and analysing complex data and be able to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for change.

With excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills, you will be at ease drafting correspondence, reports, spreadsheets and other documents, ensuring accuracy and clear presentation.

An understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality along with knowledge of the CESR process is essential. Experience of event management and of servicing committees, including preparing agendas and taking minutes, would be advantageous.

The Royal College of Emergency Medicine was established to advance education and research in Emergency Medicine. The College is responsible for setting standards of training and administering examinations in Emergency Medicine for the award of Fellowship and Membership of the College as well as recommending trainees for CCT in Emergency Medicine. The College works to ensure high quality care by setting and monitoring standards of care and providing expert guidance and advice on policy to relevant bodies on matters relating to Emergency Medicine.

 About The Felix Project

The Felix Project is London's biggest food redistribution charity and the largest end-to-end food redistribution charity in Europe.  

The Felix Project is a dynamic, ambitious charity working to make London a city where no one goes hungry and good food is never wasted.  

We rescue high quality, fresh and nutritious food that cannot be sold from nearly 500 suppliers including supermarkets, wholesalers, farms, restaurants and delis. We sort and deliver this food to charities, schools and community projects supporting London’s most vulnerable people. 

This year we expect to rescue 13,000 tonnes of food to redistribute to more than 1,000 London frontline charities and primary schools in every borough of London. That’s enough food to make more than 30 million meals. 

The Felix Project is growing fast in response to huge demand. Set up in 2016, we now have around 160 staff working alongside 8,500 volunteers. We have four main operating depots spread across London - in Deptford, Enfield, Park Royal and Poplar. We’re committed to ensuring our different teams work hand-in-hand, so our main hot-desking spaces are built into these depots. 

Alongside our large-scale, depot-based operations we have green ‘point-to-point' food redistribution projects in central London and Canary Wharf. In Poplar, we operate a commercial Kitchen which uses surplus food to cater for up to 5,000 individual meals per day. 
 

Purpose of the Job 
The Recruitment and HR Operations Manager will report direct to the Head of People and lead the end-to-end recruitment and HR operations for our organisation. This role combines the strategic elements of recruitment with operational HR responsibilities, including payroll oversight, HR systems management, and occasionally employee relations support. This role will be line managing the People Officer and People Administrator, who will provide support on the below functions. 

Duties and Accountabilities

Recruitment

• Ensure that end-to-end recruitment is completed for roles across all levels of the organisation; including creating recruitment campaigns and plans
• Overseeing job board accounts
• Develop and execute innovative talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top talent.
• Partner with department managers to understand their hiring needs and provide guidance throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
• Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies as needed to support hiring goals.

HR Operations

• Oversee HR operations to ensure efficient and compliant HR processes, including payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee record maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and internal policies.
• Drive improvements in HR processes and systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
• Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a seamless employee experience.

Payroll Management

• Oversee payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payroll distribution.
• Coordinate with the Finance Department and the People Officer to resolve payroll-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with all payroll-related legal requirements and organisational policies.

HR Systems and Database Oversight

• Oversee databases, ensuring data integrity and security
• Ensure external website, intranet, and SharePoint HR pages are updated and contain most up-to-date information.

Other

• Provide support for ER cases as needed, collaborating with the HR Advisor to ensure fair and consistent application of policies.
• Support the Learning and Development Advisor in development and administration function of training of our staff
• Support HR leadership in fostering a positive workplace culture
• Any other duties as directly by the senior leadership team.

The Yorkshire Synod of the United Reformed Church is looking to recruit a  permanent, part-time Trust Secretary based at the Synod's office in Morley, West Yorkshire.

Responsibilities include

· Carrying out the responsibilities attached to the post of Company Secretary

· Acting as Secretary to the Annual General Meetings of the Trust Companies

· Preparing Trust papers and agendas

· Being the principal point of contact with the Synod’s solicitors

· Working with the Property Officer to take the lead in transactions relating to land and property
