Fairtrade Foundation is seeking a strategic thinking Executive Assistant (EA) to our Chief Executive (CEO). They will be a trusted partner and critical enabler, responsible for providing high-level strategic, operational, and administrative support to the CEO. This role goes beyond traditional diary and inbox management, acting as an extension of the CEO’s office — driving alignment across leadership priorities, ensuring timely follow-through on strategic initiatives, and representing the CEO in interactions where appropriate.

Working at the intersection of leadership, strategy, and execution, the EA supports the CEO in managing complex stakeholder relationships, tracking the delivery of strategic initiatives, and coordinating the rhythm and quality of executive governance — including preparation for Board, committee, and senior leadership forums. The role holds ownership of key governance processes, ensuring that decision-making is well-prepared, accountable, and aligned with Fairtrade’s strategic direction.

With a dotted-line into the Strategy and Planning team, the EA also plays a connective role.  This role requires exceptional judgement, discretion, and political acumen, with the ability to operate with influence and professionalism across internal and external stakeholders. About the oppurtunity:
You will help drive the quality and impact of our key stage 2 (KS2) and key stage 4 (KS4) maths tutoring programmes through subject-specific training of volunteer tutors, and by advising and supporting our (mostly) non-teaching staff members who manage these volunteer tutors day to day.

You will also observe and give feedback to volunteer tutors delivering maths tuition, and deliver general training for new volunteers, so that they are confident and effective in taking part in our tutoring programmes.

Specific responsibilities relating to the role:

Supporting the delivery of our maths curriculum: 

• Design and deliver online maths-focused training for volunteer tutors so that subject knowledge is secure within the tutor community.
• Provide advice and support, including some direct tutor communications, on subject-specific matters for Action Tutoring staff who manage volunteer tutors.
• Maintain existing tutoring GCSE and KS2 maths curriculum resources to ensure volunteer tutors have high quality materials to use in sessions.
• Support Action Tutoring’s Programme Department to provide and respond to requests for additional materials for tutoring sessions, particularly maths sessions.
• Support with creation of additional maths resources on an ad hoc basis as required, applying Action Tutoring’s pedagogical approach and standards for diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Format any newly generated maths curriculum content for printing.
• Reformat maths curriculum resources for online delivery of tutoring sessions.
• Engage in learning and development opportunities in order to keep knowledge about the expectations set out in the maths national curriculum (KS2 and KS4) and the main exam boards up to date.

Quality assuring tutoring delivery:

• Observe several virtual tutoring sessions a week. Make detailed and unbiased notes on tutor skills, craft empathetic constructive feedback in emails.
• Support our programme delivery team to craft communications and feedback to tutors.
• Produce ‘quality tips’ and resources for tutors and staff.
• Work with Action Tutoring’s volunteer engagement team to feedback trends so that the quality assurance process at the tutor application stage is as strong as possible.

Delivering volunteer tutor training:

• Support the Training Manager by delivering up to four virtual initial tutor training sessions a week during peak months, presenting Action Tutoring’s established training content.
• Support the Training Manager by contributing updates to tutor training content.
• Create content for tutor CPD materials to support with maths tutoring.

Qualifications criteria: 

• Qualified secondary school teacher of Mathematics
• At least two year’s teaching experience in English state schools with an understanding of the barriers facing disadvantaged pupils

You would  research potential funding partners, write grant applications, and manage successful partnerships, including trusts, foundations, corporate groups, and statutory sources. The ability to draft inspiring narratives for different audiences, as well as creating programme budgets using spreadsheets are crucial aspects to this role.. You would research and attend relevant events and identify other such opportunities to promote Pragya’s work, to network, and to learn about the latest research and trends in international development. You would contribute to Pragya’s social media posts, campaigns, and the charity’s administrative needs. A basic lf knowledge of video editing and media tools like Canva would be an advantage.

The Development Coordinator will support the Head of Development (incoming) to reach the organisation's fundraising targets to enable us to deliver our ambitious outdoor exhibition and engagement programmes. Unit Base Management:

Responsibility for driving improvements, developing, managing and implementing the Trust’s Unit Base operations, including:

• Appropriate meeting and greeting, services, facilities and security provision are in place.

• Ensure a feedback mechanism is in place for users.
• Ensure a monitoring mechanism is in place for reporting upwards within the Trust.

Commercial Lettings:

• Develop a marketing and lettings strategy in line with the Trust’s Asset Management Strategy.
• Proactively market all our spaces.
• Identify potential advertising locations on the estate and actively market and let such spaces, to generate new income.
• Liaise with stakeholders and tenants to support businesses and the local economy.
• Manage internal and external relationships, positively and pro-actively.

About the Role

This is an exciting time to be joining the Lords Taverners as a Senior Corporate Partnership Manager. A skilled project manager and technical advisor, with a proven ability to work with external stakeholders, you will work in support of the Technical Manager to manage the technical aspects of Leaping Bunny and other organisational programmes. You will have excellent administrative skills gained in a customer-facing environment, including the ability to deal with multiple complex enquiries in a calm manner.

From the provision of technical advice and guidance to existing members and prospective new joiners, to supporting complex third-party supply chains; your meticulous approach, eye for detail and flexibility will help advance the organisation’s Vision, Mission, and Values.

You will act as a main point of contact for all Leaping Bunny technical enquiries and other potential new programmes, and in doing so, you will enjoy dealing with a wide and diverse range of people mainly via phone/email/video calls.

Your energy, commitment and experience will help propel the department and organisation successfully forward; and in doing so, you will help end testing on animals worldwide.

The 2021 Census shows that around 36% of Camden’s households are now made up of private renters, and in the Haverstock and Primrose Hill wards, where this project will operate, it’s 27% and 35% respectively. This group of residents is often unaware of what services are out there to help them, where they are located, and how they access them.

This new role has been created to outreach and engage with private renters in the 2 wards specified and it will also include information production, dissemination and project management work. The worker will set up the project and is the key person in ensuring the smooth delivery of it in line with its stated aims and objectives.

Please note: You will need to be based in/around London for this role as it involves work within specific locations in the London Borough of Camden and is not suitable for home working or long distance travelling.

Project management:

1. To plan and deliver the project to all agreed deadlines, milestones and targets

2. To manage the project budget in liaison with CFPT’s Assistant Organiser

3. To gather and record all relevant data and statistics relating to the project

4. To monitor the performance of the project using the methods, format and frequency agreed with the funder

5. To prepare project update reports for CFPT’s Management Committee as and when required

6. To prepare annual project update reports as required by the funder

Relationship building:

1. To identify and build relationships with key contacts e.g. ward councillors, Council staff, and other relevant individuals and groups/organisations

Engaging:

1. To creatively engage with a wide variety of private renters (focussing particularly on the more vulnerable and socially isolated ones) in different locations and settings across the 2 wards to ensure they are aware of the range of local services available to them

Participating:

1. To promote and raise awareness of the project both online and through organising meetings, events and activities in the wards

2. To increase participation in the project both online and through organising meetings, events and activities in the wards

3. To publicise the project and private renters’ issues through the different media and other communication channels

Informing, empowering and supporting:

1. To identify the information, support and other needs of private renters to enable them to effectively engage with their landlord and/or agent and other organisations

2. To help and support tenants to advocate on behalf of themselves, and when required, to advocate on their behalf with the landlord and/or agent regarding individual problems and issues.

Project sustainability:

1. To have an awareness any relevant developments (internal/external) which could impact on work of the project

2. To assist CFPT’s Organiser to identify and make applications to funders to ensure the long-term sustainability of the project, if this is required

Other:

The post holder must undertake:

To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated, flexible individual, who is passionate about working with young people around their sexual health. The postholder will conduct outreach, education, and training in several settings depending on the need of different young people. These could be educational settings, youth settings, community events, sports settings, clubs and pubs. You will target vulnerable young people, such as Looked after Children (LAC), those who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET), those who come from areas of high deprivation and high need, and those with other increased risk factors, as well as young people aged 13-15 who are not yet able to access online services. 

 As part of your frontline work, you will encourage young people to sign up for a C-card, and if aged over 16, register to Get It in order to order condoms and lube from the website. When appropriate, you will refer young people into appropriate local sexual health services for contraception, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, STI screening and treatment.

Programme

METRO work closely with our partner Spectra to deliver sexual health services in the London Boroughs of Wandsworth, Richmond, Merton and Kingston. In these Boroughs, METRO deliver the Come Correct free condom scheme (C-card), the National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP) as well as Get It, an online scheme which offers condoms, lube, Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea screens.

METRO also delivers training and education, aimed at both young people and professionals working with young people, as well as community outreach and engagement to reach young people directly- particularly those who are most vulnerable to sexual ill health. 

Senior Housing & Welfare Advice Worker’s post

The Manna Day Centre is a drop-in Centre for homeless and vulnerably housed single men and women. It is run by a team of project workers, under the Director, who are responsible for its smooth operation. Basic Services offered include food, showers, clothing, housing & welfare advice, medical care, and access to laptops. The Centre opens to service users 7 days a week, 8.30am– 1.30pm. The working week for this post is Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 4.00pm each day.

The Senior Housing & Welfare Advice Worker must have a commitment to homeless people, which includes acceptance and respect. Responsibilities are shared among the team according to needs, skills and aptitudes. The annual salary is negotiable (depending on your experience) ranging from £33,775 to £41,359. Benefits include a pension scheme, travel loans and 25 days annual leave (plus time in lieu of bank holidays worked).

Purpose of role:

To work in partnership with the Head of Training and Qualifications and other colleagues to ensure effective delivery, monitoring and Internal Quality Assurance of Bild BTEC qualifications including Certificates and Diplomas.

Role Summary:

The Qualifications Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of Qualifications & Diplomas throughout BILD and the RRN and to assist with the vision of becoming the qualification provider of choice for Learning Disability and/ or Autism Professionals and Providers.

The Qualifications Coordinator will lead on Internal Quality Assurance and other processes to ensure that the requirements of awarding bodies/assessment centres are fully met.
