The role

As Community Coordinator, your role will focus on the growth and sustainability of the FareShare Go programme, through maximising relationships and adding value to create the best experience for our charity community. The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator, with an approachable nature who will play a vital role in developing and maintaining charity and retailer relationships, plus raising awareness of FareShare Go across your local area. 

Main areas of responsibility

• Charity account management: You will carry out virtual calls and in person visits with new and existing charities, and be responsible for ensuring that coverage KPIs are reached and maintained for both new and existing retailers. Using your analysis of charity needs, plus your knowledge of retailer and store profiles, you will use these visits to maximise the offer to charities, ensuring the service meets their requirements. 
• Community Capacity Building: As part of the Building of relationships with charities, you will seek opportunities to enable and empower charities to increase their capacity and ability to take more food, to ultimately increase the redistribution of surplus food to those in need. 
• Sustainability and Compliance: You will work with your Regional Manager and team to identify stores where re-engagement activities are needed to improve charity coverage and charity compliance. You will work to maximise the amount of food collected by charities with lower levels of compliance. You will also be responsible for undertaking food safety reviews with charities to ensure compliance. 
• Retailer Engagement: You will play a key role in maintaining strong retailer relationships across your region. You will take an active role in any meet and greets with retailers, where required. Plus, you will be responsible for maintaining regular contact with the relevant retail stakeholders in your region, sensitively dealing with any issues in a professional manner, as and when they arise. 
• FareShare Network Engagement: We aim to become 'oneFareShare’. These roles are an integral part of our FareShare network and you will partner closely with the Regional Centre(s) in your areas. You will work on joint initiatives which improve and grow the FareShare community, ensuring that charities have access to the FareShare service which best meet their needs.

We are delighted to be recruiting for a part time Volunteer & Work Experience Co-ordinator to work at the Royal Hospital Chelsea. This is a fixed term contract until 31st December 2025, working 25 hours per week, or approximately 3 days. 

The role

The purpose of the Volunteer & Work Experience Co-ordinator role is to build a team of volunteers from the Royal Hospital Chelsea community, veteran community (including spouses of Service personnel) and wider area to support the activities in our new Visitor, Outreach and Heritage Centre. Working closely with our Volunteer Manager, the Co-ordinator will organise volunteer recruitment days and events to acknowledge and thank volunteers for their invaluable contribution.

The successful candidate will also develop a work experience programme for young people. This includes internships, opportunities for Master’s students to undertake project based work, rolling work experience opportunities and events for local people to engage with the Royal Hospital’s heritage.

The post-holder will sit within the new Audience Engagement team, working closely with volunteers and partners, such as Chelsea Pensioner tour and museum guides, other universities offering heritage programmes, local secondary schools and academies, and the project’s design team.

We are looking for a Senior Policy and Public Affairs Officer to join our ambitious and growing type 1 diabetes charity, JDRF, as part of the policy and public affairs team.  You will work on projects with our corporate partners and high-level Parliamentarians, people with type 1 diabetes, policy makers and researchers. You will work with people from different cultural backgrounds, using interpreters when necessary, and should be committed to equal opportunities.  You will also work closely with colleagues and partners in the Local Authority, CAMHS, education settings where interventions are being delivered and other relevant mental health providers.  This will build upon the ICB’s and Mind’s whole school approach to mental health provision. 

You will have:

• A current qualification from an accredited body to deliver evidence-based interventions for CYP

This is a key role for us, and we are looking for an experienced trusts and foundations fundraiser looking to take this work to the next level. You will line-manage a Trusts and Foundations Officer and be part of a wider Partnerships Team, which includes national corporate partnerships, external training and consultancy. You will lead on working with colleagues from across Cruse to develop innovative new approaches to funding asks from trusts and foundations. Your relationship fundraising approach will enhance our work with existing partners and win the support of new funders. Your collaborative approach to internal working relationships will allow you to produce high quality funding applications and reports to funders.

This role is a remote role, but you will be an active member of the Cruse family, in daily contact with many colleagues from all areas of Cruse for video calls, phone calls, email and instant messaging. The hours are 35 per week (but would consider 30+ hours over 5 days).

Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse. 

We have grown rapidly in recent years, and now have an exciting and varied programme of work which is funded from a wide range of sources. We have long-standing, high-value relationships with organisations such as the Mayor’s Office, Esmée Fairbairn and Clifford Chance, and continue to grow our income from a range of supporters from trusts, foundations, corporates, individuals and community fundraisers.

We now have a need for an Officer to work closely with the Development Director and CEO in developing our corporate income stream, building on strong, established corporate partnerships and developing new ones, to generate both earned income and corporate donations. You will also work closely with our Corporate Advisory Board, which includes a diverse, ambitious group of professionals who are supporting us to maximise our corporate income stream. This role will involve a diverse range of work, from identifying prospects, creating compelling funding approaches and workforce training pitches, through to successfully managing relationships with corporate partners.

The main purposes of the Development Officer role are:

• Working with the Development team to collectively achieve annual fundraising targets exceeding £2m per year
• Selling workplace training and donation opportunities to corporate partners across a range of industries, but in particular the legal and financial services sectors
• Supporting the CEO and Development Director to increase Tender’s workplace training delivery in order to achieve income targets through sales
• Contributing to applications and events in support of fundraising from other sources

Fine Cell Work (FCW) is a charity and creative social enterprise committed to the rehabilitation of people in prison, and post-release. Our innovative Open The Gate (OTG) programme at our Battersea Hub offers work experience, volunteering opportunities, accredited training, mentoring, and signposting support to participants at any point on their resettlement journey, and we are looking for an ambitious and dynamic Engagement and Support Officer (ESO) to join our team.

The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by people in contact with the criminal justice system and will work proactively to establish meaningful and sustainable cross-referral pathways with external agencies. They will nurture an aspirational, inclusive, creative, and safe working environment; use their knowledge, insights, and expertise to support tangible outcomes for all OTG participants; and develop the wider programme offer in line with our organisational objectives. 

The role

As well as offering person-centred support and helping to shape our post-release programmes, you would be responsible for:

• Nurturing an aspirational working environment where participants/Apprentices are inspired to achieve their potential.

• Working to build and maintain referral partnerships with external agencies [including HMP resettlement teams, probation services, approved premises and community-based organisations supporting prison-leavers] to increase participant numbers and sustained engagement with Open the Gate.

• Coordinating referrals and assisting with the development of risk management plans, including information gathering, and dissemination.

• Ensuring timely, accurate, and safe recording of all information and personal data.

• Action-planning and goal setting with all Apprentices, in consultation with the Workshop Manager, supporting them to achieve work-ready outcomes in an agreed period.

• Providing day to day practical, pastoral, and sign-posting support to a caseload of Open the Gate participants, or Apprentices, and providing ad-hoc support to graduate Apprentices when required.

• Working with the wider team at FCW to develop and coordinate a series of employability and creative wellbeing workshops for Apprentices.

• Supporting small grant application processes on behalf of OTG Apprentices.

• Responding to safeguarding concerns in line with FCW policy and procedure.

• Providing remote support via telephone and online to FCW experienced prison-leavers who are not regularly attending the Hub.  

• Supporting the Volunteer and Programmes Manager with the delivery of the Service User Involvement Strategy and championing service user involvement across the organisation more broadly.

• Supporting the Volunteer and Programmes Manager to recruit and delivering training to mentors and other volunteers in roles supporting OTG Apprentices.

• Working with the Volunteer and Programmes Manager to develop and enhance the OTG Mentor Offer including as the first point of contact for Mentors pre- and post- mentoring sessions.

• Experience of IT systems including Salesforce or other database management platform.
• Experience of working alongside volunteers.
• A willingness to seek support when needed and an interest in pursuing professional development opportunities.
• An interest in, or appreciation of, the value of creative education.

This role is full time and based in our offices in Battersea, South London. Whilst we offer a supportive and flexible working environment, the successful candidate will need to be in the office full time (with occasional working from home)

Reports to: Director of Programmes

Holiday: 25 days annual leave p.a. plus bank holidays

Salary:  £28,000 - £33,000, dependent on experience
