About the role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Programme Associate to provide programmatic support to a portfolio of Internews’ projects in the Europe & Eurasia (E&E) region. The role will be part of the Internews’ headquarters E&E Project Management

Unit (PMU) and report to the London-based Senior Programme Officer. The role will support the project teams in the E&E region as they conduct their project activities and help ensure.

Effective programme implementation, particularly related to project reporting, work planning, and monitoring, evaluation, research and learning (MERL). The role will contribute to development opportunities that support E&E media and journalists to safely provide good quality information. The role may also be asked to represent Internews at partner and donor meetings. The role will also contribute to Internews’ knowledge management and improvement of Internews systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the project teams across all programmatic and operational aspects of European-funded grant programmes to implement high-quality projects on time and budget, and to the highest technical standards, and in a way that positions projects within a broader regional or thematic portfolio and contributes to organisational impact.
• Assist PMU management with project oversight and progress towards programme deliverables.
• Support project start-up, implementation, and closeout.
• Support with hiring key project personnel.
• Serve as an HQ point of contact for programmatic inquiries for assigned projects within the organisation and externally.
• Guide the project teams on rules and requirements of European donors and Internews’ internal policies and procedures.
• Work closely with the E&E Business team on business aspects of project delivery, including budget management and financial tracking.
• Review and revise donor narrative reports and workplans and ensure their high quality.
• Review and provide feedback on relevant programmatic and monitoring aspects, including MERL reporting, external project evaluation, and other research and studies; 
• Support internal and external communication for projects, identifying newsworthy, impactful stories and preparing content or briefings which tell those stories; undertake external representation and policy engagement where necessary.
• As assigned, support the design and development of concept notes and proposals for European donors.
• Support meetings, webinars, and other events across time zones with international partners and fellow colleagues, including coordinating agendas and travel logistics.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Minimum 3 years of experience of project support and donor reporting for large projects with major institutional donors, including the European Commission and SIDA.
• University degree in a related field.
• Fluency in English with excellent English-language writing and proven text-editing skills.
• Strong research and analytical skills and relevant experience.
• Strong time management and organisational skills; ability to effectively manage a dynamic workload and shifting priorities.
• Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, including diplomacy, tact, and the ability to negotiate.

The Wilder Wellbeing Officer will:

• Drive, embed and promote the benefits of a connection with nature to people.
• Develop and deliver resources and upskilling opportunities for communities and practitioners that support them to bring the wellbeing benefits of nature connection into their regular activities.
• Support Community groups to set up nature connection specific activity
• Support volunteers to creatively bring nature connection for wellbeing into their communities.
• Working internally with community-based colleagues to embed nature connection for wellbeing into their practices.
• Work alongside health colleagues (Public Health, NHS, Integrated Care Board) and other Green and Social Prescribing Colleagues to help develop and improve the GSP offer in Somerset.

Responsibility 1: Developing and Maintaining Partner and Community Relationships

• Building on the legacy of previous wellbeing work, maintain relationships we have with health sector partners in Somerset as well as those supporting wellbeing through Social/Green Social Prescribing offers, including art and sports sector partners.
• Identifying individuals, community leaders and existing community groups in Somerset we are not currently working with and work to build trust and relationships.
• Working with our communications team, pro-actively provide content for external communications to highlight our work, the Team Wilder approach and the work of the communities and groups we are working with.
• Finding creative ways to reach previously underrepresented groups/individuals who may benefit from improved access to nature and who could help to take-action for nature in their communities.
• Supporting and inputting to the Local Nature Partnership Nature and Wellbeing Sub-Group, chaired by Somerset Wildlife Trust, and Somerset Nature and Wellbeing Practitioners Network.

Responsibility 2: Supporting Communities/Groups with Nature Connection for Wellbeing

• Championing the ‘Team Wilder’ approach to help create a movement for nature, sharing skills, experience, knowledge and learning about community organizing within the Trust and through the movement.
• Involving SWT and community-based volunteers to support with reaching previously underrepresented groups.
• Using in-depth knowledge of the benefits of nature connection for maintaining and improving health and wellbeing and experience in this field to community groups to embed in the services and informal support and advice they provide.
• Signposting individuals and groups to local nature and wellbeing/nature connection opportunities within their communities.
• Supporting individuals and groups with overcoming barriers to access.

Responsibility 3: Facilitating Events and Developing Resources

• Organising and facilitating public events and support community led events that aim to connect people to green spaces, recognizing the health and wellbeing benefits of doing so.
• Developing resources and guidance documents to support community groups, conservation sector colleagues and health practitioners to integrate nature connection/wellbeing into their regular activities.
• Working with community volunteers to ensure resources are relatable, accessible and include content that is most useful to communities and individuals we are supporting.

Economic abuse is a form of coercive and controlling behaviour: 95% of women who experience domestic abuse will experience economic abuse. It limits their choices and ability to access safety. 

We work in partnership to ensure women have access to and control over their own economic resources. We focus on four strategic priorities: public education and awareness-raising; transforming professional responses; ensuring systems do not inadvertently facilitate economic abuse; and influencing policy.

Our work is led by victim-survivors of economic abuse (Experts by Experience). Their lived experience and knowledge shapes everything we do. We are always learning, and we share our expertise via a national working group and an international network of practitioners, researchers and policymakers.

Founded in 2017, we are purposeful and agile in approach. We led the successful call to recognise and define economic abuse within the UK Parliament’s Domestic Abuse Bill. This has created a framework and momentum for change. Our aim now is to ensure that policy and practice recognises economic abuse so that victim-survivors are supported to achieve economic justice and abusers are held accountable for their behaviour.

About the Compass Project

The Compass Project Coordinator will work as part of an exciting new partnership between Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA), Living Without Abuse (LWA) and RISE (Refuge, Information, Support & Education). The Compass Project seeks to develop best practice responses to economic abuse within the coordinated community response by working with local professionals to help them understand and respond to economic abuse.

About the Compass Project Coordinator role

The Compass Project Coordinator will work to:

• Act as a point of contact for stakeholders across the Project areas (Brighton & Hove, Leicester, Rutland and Leicestershire), coordinating stakeholder engagement and access to training and resources. 
• Work closely with the Interim Women’s Sector Manager to coordinate and implement the Compass Project in pilot sites.

The Compass Project Coordinator will:

1. Collaborate with Compass Project Partners to:

• Support the coordination of training and dissemination of resources to professionals across the two pilot sites.
• Identify and engage with local lived experience groups and women with experience of economic abuse, ensuring inclusion of women from minoritised groups, to inform and guide our work.
• Develop and maintain key working relationships and partnerships with various stakeholders and partners across the two local sites including the facilitation of links with money and debt advice services, and local financial services.
• Support the collection of qualitative and quantitative data from the network for the purpose of project and external evaluation.

2. Facilitating access to economic abuse training and resources:

• Develop and deliver tailored training sessions on economic abuse to enable frontline workers to recognise and respond to economic abuse.
• Work with Compass Project Partners to integrate relevant economic abuse content into existing resources.
•  Implement data collection processes to support the evaluation of the project.
• Ensure effective communication with the project group and coordination of activities across the two pilot sites. Promote and facilitate SEA’s established routes to support for survivors and professionals.
• Attend local VAWG/DA Network meetings in a consultative capacity as an expert for economic abuse.
• Work with the communications teams across project partners to effectively promote the project.
• Facilitate referrals for women to the Domestic and Financial Abuse Team at Lloyds Banking Group and other banks/building societies we have direct links into.

3. General Duties and Responsibilities

• As part of the Specialist Team at SEA, manage the info@ email account on a designated day.
•  Represent SEA in training and presentation requests.
• Contribute to evaluation reports and presentations as required for the Compass Project.
• To contribute to the promotion of SEA and its work and uphold its behaviours and values.
• To participate and contribute to team meetings and organisational development.
• To engage in learning and take responsibility for continuous personal development.
• To comply with SEA and MAP’s policies and procedures and legal requirements, such as provisions set out in the GDPR, Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Equality Act 2010.

Person specification

We are looking for a domestic abuse and/or frontline community professional with an interest in developing expertise around economic abuse. In order to apply, you should have the following skills and experience:

Essential knowledge/skills/experience

• Knowledge and experience of supporting and working with victim-survivors of domestic abuse. Frontline experience of working with victim-survivors would be an advantage.
• An understanding of the coordinated community response to domestic abuse and commitment to all aspects of partnership working to improve the response.
•  A strong and demonstrable interest in economic abuse.
• Experience of developing and delivering training face to face and online.
• Strong communication and engagement skills.
• Experience of safeguarding and managing risk.
• Experience of working in partnership and managing relationships with voluntary and statutory sector agencies to enable their full participation in the partnership.
• Demonstratable experience of implementing project delivery plans with a range of stakeholders, and reporting on progress and risk management.
• Ability to produce high quality documents and maintain confidentiality.

THE ROLE

The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for leading the London team’s overall fundraising strategy and activities. The role requires the postholder to motivate and support their team, and ensure regional and individual fundraising targets are met, in alignment with Islamic Help’s fundraising strategy. This position involves bringing new fundraising opportunities as well as enhancing relationships with existing supporters and donors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
