At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, we care for children and young people whose lives are just too short. Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. Did you know that every year we need to raise £6.5m to keep our doors open and only around 16% of our income comes from government sources, the rest has to be raised through fundraising activity.
Our services include short overnight stays and community breaks at home or in the hospice. We also support the whole family from diagnosis with our multi-disciplinary Family Support team who provide counselling, sibling support groups, music therapy and much more. Our care team support these families in our modern, purpose-built building. All our rooms bedrooms have a homely feel. We have a sensory room, spa pool, cinema room and six acres of gardens.
We support families from a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. The hospice is easily accessible from Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster, Sheffield and North Notts. We have free secure on-site parking for families and staff to use.
The role:
As our Fundraising Business Partner, you will be at the forefront of our regional fundraising team. You’ll work hand-in-hand with the Income Generation and Communications Director, crafting and implementing innovative, long-term strategies to expand and diversify our income streams. You’ll identify new opportunities, guide a talented team of six fundraising professionals, and build lasting partnerships that strive to reach our income aims.
Key Responsibilities:
· Management and Leadership: Develop and drive comprehensive fundraising strategies, ensuring alignment with our goals and exploring new funding avenues.
· Team Leadership: Mentor, manage, and inspire a high-performing fundraising team. Lead by example, foster professional development, and create an empowering culture.
· Income Generation: Lead of key fundraising campaigns and build relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and local communities. Work collaboratively with marketing to craft impactful marketing and engagement proposals.
· Business Partnering: Collaborate across all departments and with senior leadership to ensure our fundraising strategy integrates seamlessly with the broader goals of the hospice.
· Financial Management: Oversee budget allocation, reporting, and ROI maximisation to hit income targets and deliver on strategic plans.
· Compliance and Governance: Ensure all fundraising initiatives meet legislative and ethical standards and represent Bluebell Wood at events to foster new relationships and raise our profile.

The Director of Development (Maternity Cover) is a senior position at the Marlowe Theatre, leading the organisation’s fundraising.
This 12-month maternity cover position provides an opportunity to lead a high performing department, develop skills and expertise and play your part in supporting the work of one of the country’s most successful regional theatres.
You will be working from a solid footing, leading the team to build on existing partnerships and developing a pipeline of new opportunities. The Director of Charity will play a key role in developing a progressive and growing NHS charity onto the next steps of its journey to fulfil the Trust’s ambition to be the charity of choice in the region.
You must be an ambitious and innovative leader with senior management experience and an extensive knowledge of fundraising and marketing, to command the confidence of staff and peers, with strong diplomatic skills and determination.

This role will see you support an established, enjoyable, professional development programme for city farms, community gardens and care farms. In London you'll focus on training and showcase events, and nationwide you'll lead on helping organisations achieve the Green Care Quality Mark. There are three elements to the role:
a) London Development - 3 days a week -
To support the delivery and co-ordination of a programme of targeted training and capacity-building for city farms and community gardens in London to improve their long-term viability, thereby contributing to the sustainability of vibrant local communities throughout the capital. This is a well-established, popular enjoyable programme and you would work closely with the London Development Manager, and SF&Gs members. Annual outputs include:
· Training days designed and delivered by SF&G members
· Networking tours of community growing spaces
· Showcase events including the London Harvest Festival
b) Green Care Quality Mark (GCQM) Administration - 1.5 days a week
To support the UK-Wide GCQM programme liaising with our panel of Assessors, assigning applications for review and inputting data into our ‘Civi’ CRM.
The programme helps green care practitioners such as care farms demonstrate to clients, funders, commissioners, referrers and volunteers that they operate a safe, professional and caring place to be.
The post holder will be responsible for administration and promotion of the GCQM, and supported by managers to retain participants of the scheme, attract new enrolments, and increase the associated earned income for SF&G.
c) SF&G Membership Support.
A half day a week will be dedicated to supporting SF&Gs UK- wide membership programme through social media, newsletters and database management.

Fundraising is still a relatively new activity for DFN Project SEARCH and this role presents the opportunity to play a key part in its expansion to support the further growth of the charity and enable young adults with a learning disability to lead healthier, happier, and more independent lives.

· Ensure all our income generation activity is compliant with fundraising governance and legislation, including GDPR, PECR, and the Code of Fundraising Practice, and ensure our systems and processes (including the database and reporting) are compliant and fit for purpose in Business Development.

Our unique Online Reading Volunteer programme currently supports about 3,000 children a year. It pairs disadvantaged, struggling five to eight-year old readers with reading support volunteers who come from over 140 local and national businesses. The volunteer ask is very focused: readers commit 30 minutes a week to read with a child using a bespoke digital platform for an entire academic year. The results are transformative, boosting children's reading confidence and ability.

The UK Men’s Sheds Association (UKMSA) is seeking a skilled and inspirational CEO to lead our charity through the next stage of its development and the continued delivery of our core mission of improving the lives and wellbeing of men (and women) through the Men’s Shed movement across the UK.
We are looking for a Chief Executive with the energy, vision and experience to take on the strategic leadership and direction of our well-respected and fast-growing national charity, which brings tangible benefits to men’s health, mental health and suicide prevention across the UK. Our strategy is one of ambitious targets to support the expansion, reach, diversity and sustainability of the Men’s Shed movement, in line with our vision of happier and healthier men by virtue of reduced loneliness, anxiety and depression, improved wellbeing, and saved lives.
Our new CEO will be a proven and exemplary strategic leader, who will head our mission, guide the team, represent our charity with partners, funders and politicians, and support the Shed Movement we exist to serve. Your track record of inspirational leadership and excellent communications skills will be a key part of building and diversifying our funding (including developing sustainable income growth strategies and bringing in commercial sponsorship), broadening and deepening our partnerships and our relationships with government, and driving our future success. Your experience in executive leadership in the nonprofit sectors will ensure the good management and statutory compliance of UKMSA. We recognise that you may not have a background in the Men’s Shed movement, but your strong emotional intelligence will enable you to quickly develop a good understanding of the community we serve.
Key Skills
• Leadership – the ability to motivate, develop, and deliver through a team of staff and volunteers such that the organisation meets its goals.
• Interpersonal & Communication Skills – these will need to be excellent (including written communication) in order to build rapport and effective relationships across a range of people, from our members to the general public, political figures and senior executives in other organisations. As UKMSA’s public face, the CEO must also be adept at showcasing our work, including in the media and to parliamentary and other government bodies.
• Financial Acumen – the CEO will be expected to operate the budget and develop our new strategy for ensuring sustainable income, actively leading the development of corporate sponsorships and other significant income streams.
• Flexibility & Adaptability – the new CEO will be expected to learn about the world of Men’s Sheds quickly, to be able confidently to represent UKMSA and to build strong relationships within the Men’s Shed community (both within the UK and internationally). And as we only have a staff team of 13 (geographically dispersed), it is expected that the CEO will actively engage in some of the more tactical work, including being ‘hands on’ at events.

The new Group Finance Director will play a crucial role in overseeing MCF’s financial strategy, ensuring the charity’s long-term viability, and managing assets in excess of £400M. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a skilled financial team and contribute to strategic decisions that impact MCF’s operations and charitable work.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Advising the Chief Executive and Board on financial strategy, ensuring comprehensive financial planning, accurate reporting, and compliance.
- Investment Management: Developing and managing MCF’s investment strategy, ensuring financial sustainability and growth.
- Relief Chest Operation: Overseeing the management of the Relief Chest, a key operation that handles charitable donations from Masonic units across the country.
- Team Leadership: Leading and developing the finance team, ensuring a high standard of financial management and operational efficiency.
- Board and Committee Engagement: Providing financial insight and reporting to the Finance Committee, Audit and Risk Committee, and Board of Trustees.
Experience and Skills
The successful candidate must be a professionally qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience and a proven track record of contributing to financial strategy and decision-making at Board level, (ideally in the charity or not-for-profit sector). You will have robust Financial Management skills, experienced in overseeing financial operations within an SME organisation, balancing financial operations with a strategic outlook and the leadership skills to manage, inspire and influence your team and colleagues, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability. The post-holder will be an exceptional communicator, astute decision maker and capable of inspiring transformation in an organisation undergoing exciting change.
