About the role:
You may be a qualified IDVA or a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker wanting to work alongside health professionals in a hospital environment, although we will consider applicants from other fields providing you are able to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of domestic abuse. You must be comfortable with running group training sessions and be willing and able to share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital. Excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and the confidence to be able to influence the way in which this service is delivered are key.
Please note that the successful applicant will be required to sign an honorary contract with the Hospital Trust in addition to their contract of employment.
You will need:
- knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse
- an understanding of domestic abuse & it's impact
- knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management
- an understanding of safeguarding issues & the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues
- Experience of direct service delivery to vulnerable people.
- Good communication, negotiation & advocacy skills, both written & verbal, able to interact with a range of agencies & individuals
- have strong crisis management skills & the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations

Understanding the market is key as you’ll be helping our member students’ unions to interpret current trends and develop them into successful action within member commercial operations.
Having a good eye for detail and understanding the need for compliance comes easy to you, along with the skill to challenge where non-compliance may be apparent, so you’ll have strong interpersonal and influencing skills and be a good communicator.

This will include responsibility for its ongoing development, leading its delivery approaches, training the Sport and Faith Team in its delivery, exploring opportunities related to the programme, monitoring and evaluating its impact and reporting this to stakeholders.
We are looking for someone who loves sport and understands how sport and movement is able to connect people and is passionate about sharing the Christian faith in innovative ways beyond the walls of traditional church. We wish to recruit a Project Worker to cover the County of Essex, based both at home and within our central office in Chelmsford. Your experience is key in securing this role: You will need substantial experience in working with vulnerable children and young people either in a paid or unpaid capacity. You will have experience of developing and facilitating groups with young people and delivering one to one support both virtually and face to face in the school, community or home setting.
Ideally but not essentially you will have, or be working towards a relevant professional qualification e.g. a Diploma/Certificate in Youth and Community work, counselling, social care or related NVQ.

The main role requirements for this role include:
- An appropriate social work qualification
- Up-to-date registration with Social Work England
- Post-qualifying experience in fostering/family placements or other childcare settings
- Suitable experience in supporting and supervising 10-12 foster families to meet the complex needs of the looked-after young people
- A proven track record in working with and on behalf of children, respecting and maintaining their individuality and promoting their positive development.
- Experience in group work and/or delivery of training.
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation including the Fostering National Minimum Standards and Fostering regulations.
- Suitable experience of working with/supporting looked after children and their foster carers.

The successful candidate will be required to travel to visit foster families located in North East around Newcastle to the Tess Valley, with occasional travel to Yorkshire. There will also be the requirement to travel anywhere within the region to attend staff meetings and team away days.
In addition to the annual salary, the successful candidate will be paid an Out of Hours Allowance of £1,500 p.a. once participating in the relevant rota.

About the role:
You may be a qualified IDVA or a Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker wanting to work alongside health professionals.
This role involves both face to face and virtual support. There is an expectation that you will do a mixture of working from home, our office in Old Street and in co-location at Northwick Park Hospital.
As a Hospital Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will:
- Implement effective ways of working with victims and those supporting them to increase safety and reduce harm.
- Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a premium service prioritised according to risk, primarily focusing on victim/survivors aged 16+
- Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse.
- Be comfortable with running group training sessions and be willing and able to share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital.
- Have excellent communication skills, a proactive approach and the confidence to be able to influence the way in which this service is delivered are key.

You will need:
Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships).
