Summary of the role:
The Head of Communications is responsible for shaping and delivering the organisation’s communication strategy to establish Muslim Aid as a leading faith-based voice and thought leader in international development, humanitarian programming and positive systemic change. This role involves managing all aspects of internal and external communications, including media relations, digital content, and brand management. The Head of Communications will work closely with the Director of Strategy and Communications to ensure that communication efforts are aligned with the organisation’s strategic goals and effectively engage stakeholders.
About the Role:
Develop and implement a comprehensive global communication strategy that enhances the organisation’s public image, engages key stakeholders, and supports the achievement of strategic goals. Ensure that the strategy is flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.
Lead the development and monitoring of annual communication plans that outline key initiatives, campaigns, and activities. Ensure that these plans are aligned with the organisation’s strategic priorities, reflect cross-departmental needs and include clear objectives, timelines, and performance metrics.
Provide editorial oversight for all content produced by the communications team, digital or otherwise: including social media posts, website content, newsletters, press releases, and other written materials. Ensure that all content adheres to the organisation’s messaging guidelines and brand standards.
Act as the overall guardian of the Muslim Aid brand and put in place processes and support to ensure it is represented at its best in all external communications.
Ensure that the organisation’s brand reflects and aligns with organisational identity and is consistently applied across all communication channels. Lead efforts to refresh and strengthen the brand as needed to reflect the organisation’s evolving direction.
Steer strategic engagement with the media to ensure accurate reporting on Muslim Aid’s activities, priorities, principles, and approach, as well as to platform Muslim Aid’s strategic direction and goals, and advance the organisation’s thought leadership.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven leadership experience in a communications role, preferably within an INGO or similar organisation.
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful communication strategies, managing media relations, and overseeing digital communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to create compelling content for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.

Summary of the role:
As the Philanthropy Manager, you will oversee the development of existing high-net-worth (HNW) donors and cultivate new high-net-worth prospects. You will work closely with key Third Party supporters to establish our presence nationally. A key part of your role will be to strategise to identify new high-net-worth donors and create long-term relationships, ensuring that Muslim Aid becomes their charity of choice. You will also collaborate closely with fundraising and supporter services to organise tactical, innovative, bespoke, and strategic events that meet the needs of high-net-worth donors and maximise major gifts like no other.
About the Role:
- Develop a three-year high-net donor strategy with stakeholders that drives long-term sustainable revenue and year on year growth.
- Develop short-, medium- and long-term strategies to maintain engagement, retention and increase revenue with existing and prospective donors that supports our organisational strategy.

Cambridge City Foodbank is looking for a Campaign Coordinator to join our team for an 8-month fixed-term contract to organise and mobilise people who have experienced poverty to take action as part of the Guarantee Our Essentials Campaign.
As a Cambridge City Foodbank employee, you will work closely with Trussell to deliver a local campaign strategy, influencing Cambridge MPs to support an Essentials Guarantee, and mobilising people with lived experience to take part. This role is at the heart of Cambridge City Foodbank’s work to end the need for food banks, and part of Trussell’s national Campaign Coordinator programme. The role is grant funded by Trussell and you ill be working with a small team of Campaign Coordinators at other UK food banks.
The Campaign Coordinator will be supported to use organising principles as part of their role. You will travel between different locations in the community, including Foodbank Welcome Centres and Fairbite Food Clubs, meeting people who are struggling to afford the essentials, arranging 121 conversations with them, and developing their commitment and confidence to take part in the campaign. You’ll also maintain relationships with local stakeholders and bringing people together to plan campaign actions.

DUTIES:
The Campaign Coordinator will:
- Build a network of people with lived experience of poverty and mobilise them to take part in campaign actions, including attending the national lobby day in Westminster.
- Lead community outreach including visiting Foodbank Welcome Centres and Fairbite Food Clubs and leading door-knocking sessions, connecting with people facing poverty and recruiting them to join the campaign.
- Hold 121s with people with lived experience of poverty, building their capacity for leadership and their commitment and confidence to take part in campaign actions.
- Involve people with lived experience and community stakeholders in designing and carrying out local campaign actions.
- Support local influencing work, engaging with MPs and Councillors to further the aims of national Guarantee Our Essentials campaign.
- Deliver Trussell’s local campaign strategy, working with the Organising and Local Mobilisation team at Trussell, and engage with the training and support on offer, including work with other Campaign Coordinators in the Trussell network.

Role Summary
How this role fits into the vision and objectives of Causeway
We have an exciting opportunity for a Health & Safety and Facilities Manager to join the Causeway team. This person will be key in helping us to provide the safe and secure environments for the whole of Causeway. The role involves oversight of all Causeway facilities and ensuring Health & Safety practices are implemented and followed.
Responsibilities
• To work with accredited Health and Safety consultants to manage the health and safety and its implementation across Causeway properties and offices to ensure the welfare of staff, volunteers and service users.
• Line management of the Maintenance Coordinator and Facilities Administrator.
• To oversee the maintenance coordinators responsibility for planned and unplanned maintenance of properties, and their undertaking and/managing necessary works including repairs and improvements.
• To develop and maintain a planned approach to property maintenance and management that ensures standards are upheld.
• To liaise with and arrange work with landlords, where the necessary work being undertaken falls within their contractual obligations.
• To oversee internal health and safety and maintenance recording systems for all properties and to ensure all necessary works are actioned in a timely manner, working with the maintenance coordinator.
• To source suitable properties (accommodation or offices) to lease/rent when required ensuring they comply with contract stipulations and take a role in facilitating office/accommodation moves.
• To prepare and submit planning or HMO applications where necessary for change of use and/or refurbishment of properties.
• To set up and streamline maintenance contracts (e.g. gas/electricity/water/broadband etc), and to monitor and cap utility usage across properties (where needed and reasonable).
• To carry out and review health and safety assessments of the following aspects: (or to discharge the responsibility of these assessments when required)
- Accommodations and offices on a frequent basis to ensure properties are being maintained and run in accordance with sector and statutory guidelines.
- Organisation wide risk assessments, such as DSE, contractor activities.
- Implementation of new services.
- Events ran by the organisation.
• To keep up to date with Health and Safety Legislation and ensure and record compliance with procedures, including PAT Testing and Fire Safety.
• To carry out annual health and safety and fire inspections at properties and advise teams on actions that need to be taken.
• To execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines working in conjunction with key managers across Causeway regions.
• To prepare and embed policies to establish a positive culture of health and safety which focuses on service user quality of care and provision.
• To monitor and evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to relevant legislation.
• To recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures.
• To report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics to the management team of Causeway. Including the producing of the annual Health & Safety report for the management board and board of trustees.

• Oversight of SAHA inspections.

- Someone who will support the success of the Regional Fundraising team by coordinating programmes of work, projects and ways of working to create better collaboration and consistency across the team, enabling us to meet our team objectives of securing sustainable income.
- Someone who can monitor and take ownership of all regular Regional Processes e.g. Monthly reporting, basic database (CARE) checks/reporting, risk assessment process, setting up team meetings.
- Someone who can take on national programme research and support e.g. coordinating key information for multi-region opportunities, whole team materials/resources (e.g. new mini fundraising guides).

Overview of the role
The Data, Security, & Information Management team are responsible for defining and executing the RST and UKROEd Digital Strategies, developing and implementing systems that ensure all data is collected, processed, and stored securely and efficiently, and in accordance with our responsibilities under UK GDPR and data protection legislation.
As Information Governance Officer, you will have responsibility for a range of assurance activities in relation to the information governance frameworks of both companies (approx. 20% RST, 80% UKROEd), including how we meet the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
You will be a first line point of contact for individual information rights requests (such as subject access requests), freedom of information requests, and other information governance and data protection-related matters.
You will understand the importance of privacy by design and information governance best practice to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations. You will work with colleagues to conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments on new, and amended, systems and processes.
You will take a leading role in supporting the application and maintenance of effective document and record management arrangements.
You will provide guidance and training on best practice and legislative compliance changes.

- Be the first point of contact in the DSIM Business Area for expert advice on individual information rights requests (such as subject access requests) and freedom of information (FOI) requests, effectively escalating to the Head of DSIM when required.

About the Role

Primary responsibilities
- Managing an existing portfolio of livelihoods and climate grants, i.e. owning the relationship with the NGOs, following their progress, overseeing the financial and legal aspects of the grant, and reporting to the Chair.
