Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment.
We are recruiting for an Individual Placement and Support (IPS) Employment Specialist in the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham.
Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. We welcome applications from people with lived experience of mental health, either personally or through a close contact.
You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. The successful candidate will need to become comfortable in approaching employers, persuading them to use our service, working with them to recruit our clients to fill vacancies and sustain employment.
We are a Centre of Excellence and adhere closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. No prior experience in IPS is required. The role we are recruiting for is as follows:
One Full Time: 35 hours per week - this roles will be based onsite/in the community 4 days per week and work from home 1 day.
You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment. You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led. You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.

This role is part of the Wiltshire Project which provides individual and family support to domestic abuse for victims and their children.
Working with children and young people, the team will focus on delivering timely and high quality, trauma informed support to children who have been the victims of domestic abuse.
This is a fixed term position to November 2025.
This exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.
In addition, there will be the opportunity to work with the team and manager to develop and deliver new group work provision for young people.
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
· To provide high quality, specialist support to children who have lived in a domestically abusive family.
· Enabling young people to access statutory and other services where appropriate.
· Managing a caseload and working proactively to support young people and their families.
· To deliver educational, time-bound, 1 to 1 support sessions for children and young people.
· Provide specialist support to child victims, with a focus on empowering young people to make informed decisions.
· Ensure that children and young people have a thorough understanding of what constitutes a ‘healthy relationship’.
· Undertake risk assessments and implement robust safety management plans.
· Give practical and emotional support to children affected by domestic abuse.
· Work closely with multi-agency partners and the wider Wiltshire team to ensure that we maintain a focus on risk management and safeguarding.
· Work with your team and manager to develop early intervention resources.
· Engaging with and supporting the MARAC and MASH process, to ensure that the voice of victims is heard.
This role will be based in our Trowbridge office, with a requirement to travel across Wiltshire. FearFree supports staff to work flexibly, with an ability to work in a hybrid fashion, both at home and in the office.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of low to high risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies.
- Complete an initial assessment of the child’s needs so that you can identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating.
- Assess, manage and review risks to service users, colleagues and self, according to agreed procedures.
- Assess the needs of the child and devise appropriate support and safety plans with due regard to the dynamic nature of risk.
- Work with colleagues, health and social care professionals and multi-agency networks to evaluate caseload needs and the progress that has been made.
- Work directly and proactively with children and young people to help them to understand the impact that Domestic Abuse has had on them.

- Act as duty officer for Wiltshire, responding to incoming calls, logging referrals and making assigned outgoing calls, according to the duty rota. Duty shifts will be 9 – 5 in the Trowbridge Office.
- To understand and work effectively within a multi-agency framework, consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse, in order to reduce the risk for service users and their families.
- Accompany service users, when needed, to other relevant agencies and support them in their interactions with these agencies.

This post will support the delivery of the Local Delivery Pilot, based in Colchester. Essex Pedal Power allows eligible residents, including adults and children, to apply for a new FREE quality bicycle. The inclusive programme aims to make cycling accessible for everyone providing access to employment, training and educational opportunities or key local services. The project builds on the successful pilot already running in Jaywick and Clacton and is part of a wider roll out in Essex. It will distribute 725 bikes in Colchester throughout 2023-2025 and if successful, will be rolled out to further areas within Essex.

About the Role
Essex Pedal Power is a flagship programme led by Essex County Council and Active Essex to support more people in deprived areas to cycle by removing the main barriers to cycling. This post is part funded by the Sport England Local Delivery Pilot (LDP) for Essex. You will lead our Essex Pedal Power team in Colchester working collaboratively to maintain an overview of engagement and impact whilst seeking to maximise opportunities for partnership development. We are looking for an individual with experience of positively leading teams to deliver successful outcomes.
You will report directly to the Community Development Manager.
Main Duties
1.Manage the operational delivery and development of the Essex Pedal Power programme with a focus on collaborating with communities and partner organisations in the design and delivery to promote active citizenship and physical activity.
2.Monitor the budget to ensure outcomes are met.
3.Develop and maintain a strong delivery team made up of bike mechanic and project support staff, and a team of volunteers ensuring the team have access to development opportunities and support on a one to one and team basis.
4.Devise, understand and use asset-based community development approaches to community development and work with your team/communities to understand priorities and co-design initiatives. Ensure that delivery mitigates or removes the barriers to participation.
5.To evaluate impact and outcomes of projects to provide organisational learning and feedback for funders and stakeholders.
6.Lead on the implementation of the delivery plan in collaboration with a wide range of partners, to arrange for logistics of bike allocations and storage.
7.Administer an admin system to manage participant applications, eligibility and queries of those in the community eligible to receive a free bike.
8.Co-produce the project with the local communities and locally trusted organisations and ensure continuous engagement and communication to ensure that eligible citizens receive a good quality experience.
9.Work closely with Active Essex communications team to undertake effective communication with applicants, stakeholders, and partners. Ensure all communications and marketing aligns with the Essex Pedal Power branding guidelines.
10.To support the development of informal and formal cycling groups and clubs. Organise ongoing events to bring the recipients of bikes together and build a community cycling culture and togetherness.
11.Working closely and engage with; volunteers, citizens, partners and staff in joint design and collaborative planning. Ensure that the design and delivery of the project and future initiatives are in line with aspirations of the priority communities. Ensure all volunteers are safeguarded and supported through the use of the TAWS volunteer management system.
12.Co-ordinate frequent cycle training sessions and bike maintenance sessions for bike recipients.
13.Develop a pool of qualified freelance learn to ride instructors and Ride Leaders to deliver local training and led rides.
14.Using innovation to encourage the uptake and increase of cycling. Ensure that the outcomes of the project support collaborative outcomes with citizens and other partners.
15.Play a key role in the monitoring and evaluation plan, through collecting, analysing and sharing data (quantitative and qualitative) working with the Active Essex Evaluation Researcher for Essex Pedal Power and with TAWS Data & Insight team.
16.Ensure that all health and safety requirements are understood by staff and complied with on a consistent basis; lead and maintain the development of a risk management culture within the team to ensure that innovation and delivery is balanced with citizen safety.
17.Produce oral and written reports on engagement level, activity delivery and the development of new programmes / projects.
18.Support with recruitment of sessional staff, external instructors and volunteers to resource projects and to develop community capacity and sustainable outcomes.

Our Surrey Volunteer Recruitment Manager (VRM), who must be based in or very close to Surrey, works closely with VRMs in Herts and London and our marketing team to promote the MCR programme to organisations and individuals. Role Purpose
You will work alongside the Strategic Projects Manager to provide flexible and high-quality project management and administrative support to the Senior Management Team, working across THET’s programmatic, operations, policy, and advocacy work.
THET is experiencing an exciting time of growth, and you, alongside the Strategic Projects Manager, will play a critical role in supporting this growth to be managed well, and in ways that allow colleagues to maintain a focus on existing projects and programmes.

Main Responsibilities

To be successful as the Peer Mentor Coordinator (Young Women & Girls) you will need the below experience and skills:
You will be able to project manage the Maia’s Service’s peer mentoring programme, liaising with keyworkers and partner agencies to successfully establish and run a peer mentoring programme across six boroughs.
You will be able to effectively engage and recruit women with lived experience to act as Volunteer Mentors for the YWG engaging with the Maia service.
You will be able to develop resources and deliver a training package to Volunteer Mentors, including sessions on key topics such as safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality, building relationships and maintaining boundaries, active listening and risk and crisis management, as well as specialist workshops focused on the challenges facing YWG, including violence, abuse and exploitation and contact with the criminal justice system.
You will have experience in developing and maintaining links with partner agencies (statutory and non-statutory, including children and young people’s and women and girls’ voluntary services) across the six boroughs, raising the profile of the Maia service and developing specific referral pathways for Volunteer Mentors and the YWG they support where appropriate.
You will be knowledgeable and have a strong understanding of the challenges facing vulnerable young women and girls, including the impacts of domestic abuse, exploitation, mental health and contact with the criminal justice system, and of the practical and emotional support needs specific to this group, including education, confidence and relationship-building.
