To be successful in this role, you will be a motivated, flexible individual, who is passionate about working with young people around their sexual health. The postholder will conduct outreach, education, and training in several settings depending on the need of different young people. These could be educational settings, youth settings, community events, sports settings, clubs and pubs. You will target vulnerable young people, such as Looked after Children (LAC), those who are Not in Education, Employment, or Training (NEET), those who come from areas of high deprivation and high need, and those with other increased risk factors, as well as young people aged 13-15 who are not yet able to access online services. 

 As part of your frontline work, you will encourage young people to sign up for a C-card, and if aged over 16, register to Get It in order to order condoms and lube from the website. When appropriate, you will refer young people into appropriate local sexual health services for contraception, emergency contraception, pregnancy testing, STI screening and treatment.

Programme

METRO work closely with our partner Spectra to deliver sexual health services in the London Boroughs of Wandsworth, Richmond, Merton and Kingston. In these Boroughs, METRO deliver the Come Correct free condom scheme (C-card), the National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NCSP) as well as Get It, an online scheme which offers condoms, lube, Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea screens.

METRO also delivers training and education, aimed at both young people and professionals working with young people, as well as community outreach and engagement to reach young people directly- particularly those who are most vulnerable to sexual ill health. 

We are currently recruiting for an HR Officer. We are looking for a diligent and highly organised person to provide HR processes which support the effective operation of the charity, including recruitment, staff support and development, maintaining personnel records, advising on and updating staff policies, producing contracts, and taking responsibility for the payroll (in conjunction with our external processor). You must be a strong communicator with meticulous attention to detail, who enjoys working in a busy professional environment.

Purpose of the role:
 
The Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) is the leading specialist domestic abuse organisation supporting housing providers to improve their response to domestic abuse, through our membership model, accreditation framework and training packages.
 
We use our practice-based experience to work alongside partners across the housing and domestic abuse sector to influence policy and national decision making through our DAHA-led National Domestic Abuse & Housing Policy and Practice Group
 
Our model for a housing response to domestic abuse is nationally recognised as best practice, through the Domestic Abuse Act Statutory Guidance 2022, and is endorsed by the Domestic Abuse Commissioner for England & Wales, Nicole Jacobs.
 
As the DAHA Programme Manager will oversee the development, delivery, and funding of the DAHA programme, ensuring it aligns with the business plan and strategy. This role is responsible for managing the DAHA accreditation framework, membership, training, and driving programme growth and sustainability. By leading the DAHA programme, the role directly contributes to improving the housing sector’s response to domestic abuse, ensuring survivors receive trauma-informed, needs-based housing support that enhances their safety and recovery.
 
Key Duties – What you will be doing:

• Lead and oversee the DAHA accreditation and assessment framework
• Manage Senior Regional Leads to ensure effective delivery of accreditation processes.
• Oversee the development of proposals, contracts, and agreements with housing providers seeking accreditation.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of DAHA accreditation on service delivery.
• Promote and advocate for DAHA accreditation through events, social media, and policy engagement.
• Collaborate on developing and ensuring the sustainability of DAHA Membership and Training Models.
• Support the delivery of DAHA’s training packages for housing providers.
• Ensure financial sustainability of DAHA models, providing quarterly updates.

About You – Skills & Experience:

• In-depth understanding of the intersections of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), domestic abuse, and housing, with a strong commitment to an intersectional and anti-racist approach.
• Extensive knowledge of the DAHA accreditation programme, including the unique challenges faced by national housing providers in implementing and maintaining accreditation.
• Comprehensive understanding of domestic abuse and housing legislation, guidance, and best practice standards, with the ability to apply this knowledge to support housing providers.
• Proven experience in both frontline and second-tier roles within the housing and domestic abuse sectors, demonstrating a holistic understanding of the issues and effective response strategies.

ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for an Apprenticeships Service Administrator to support the apprenticeship provision within Harris Federation Central Head Office.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the apprenticeship team and support by managing administration and providing essential support to apprentices across the Harris Federation. Key responsibilities include the organisation of Apprenticeship events, maintaining individual learner records (ILR), data analysis, and managing the virtual learning platform and MIS. Additionally, there will be a requirement to assist line managers and staff members with Apprenticeship queries.

A primary focus is on onboarding learners and maintaining accurate enrolment records, contributing to the effective delivery and evaluation of apprenticeship programs across the Federation.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Reporting to the Apprenticeship Manager you will be responsible for:

General Administration and Apprentice Support

• Supporting Harris Federation as a main provider, ensuring all apprentice data is accurate and up to date
• Preparing and updating PowerPoint presentations to promote apprenticeships
• Organising and promoting apprenticeship events and information sessions
• Supporting the promotional/marketing strategy to drive apprenticeship applications and delivery
• Organising and managing information days for prospective learners / students and supporting the recruitment to various apprenticeship programmes
• Maintaining responsibility for monitoring and updating records on the DAS (Digital Apprenticeship Service) system and other data system trackers
• Maintaining apprenticeship records, including the apprenticeship tracking system, producing reports to monitor enrolment, completion rates, and levy usage
• Helping to maintain the EOSONE learning platform to ensure accurate data and the declaration of our monthly ILRs (individual learner records)
• Supporting the implementation, procurement, quality assurance and evaluation of the apprenticeship offer to support business objectives

• Managing and actively updating EOSONE learning platform to ensure all the learner portfolios are up to date including off the job

The Systems Manager oversees, develops and maintains our internal central systems, in particular the CRM system, Podio. They act as a champion of good use of systems and processes and their value in helping us become more effective as a charity.

They will support our senior leadership team in identifying and mitigating risk where it relates to systems. They will be a source of advice to team members in relation to our systems. They may assist from time to time in the review of relevant Operating Procedures and Policies to ensure they are fit for purpose.

As part of the Central team this role will manage system development projects, conduct relevant staff induction and training, and liaise with the Senior Office & HR Coordinator to ensure effective working relationships with external suppliers for system maintenance.

About the role:

The Children & Young People Worker will be based in our Brent service and hold responsibility for delivering one to one and group work services for children of the age of 5 – 18 years, where there is domestic abuse perpetrated from one parent to another or in the household. The post holder will provide support and advocacy for young people and identify and improve referral pathways for those experiencing domestic violence and abuse to access ongoing support.

The post holder will have an excellent understanding of domestic abuse as its effects on women and children, and of best practice within the domestic abuse and young people’s sectors. As an experienced children and young people’s advocate who has worked with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety planning, remaining calm in a crisis, and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis. Experience of direct work with children survivors of domestic abuse and working with young people and children in face-to-face and group-work is essential for this post as is working within safeguarding principles and promoting a strong partnership approach to service provision.

A car may be desirable for this role, though not essential

To be successful as the Children & Young People Worker you will need the below experience and skills:

You will have great knowledge and understanding of the needs of children and young people who are or have experienced domestic abuse, or have a parent experiencing domestic abuse, and the practical and emotional support needs specific to this group including, education, confidence and relationship building.

You will have the ability to network, influence, problem solve and apply solution focused approaches to increase access and safety and facilitate positive outcomes for women and children.

You will have excellent risk assessment, support and advocacy skills and the ability to advocate successfully using evidence and professional experience.

You will have experience of partnership working and of maintaining excellent working relationships with a

range of stakeholders.

You will possess excellent organisational skills, excellent communication skills and be able to work in a prison environment whilst remaining calm.

The Campaigns Manager plays a key role in developing and delivering campaign activity to improve the systems that older people rely on.
