We are recruiting for a Senior Research and Evaluation Manager role within our team. This is a key role within our organisation, joining our managers group alongside colleagues in public involvement (including youth involvement), peer research, communications, and operations. This role will have programme and line management responsibility for 3 or 4 staff working from a lived experience perspective. Specifically the role will work upon a new public health evaluation programme with colleagues at McPin and The University of Exeter, and a qualitative study exploring sexism and impact on girls mental health as part of a large Wellcome funded grant led by researchers at Kings College London in collaboration with researchers in Tokyo.
We are looking for someone with well-developed research and evaluation skills applied to mental health and public health contexts, specifically advanced qualitative methods and social theory. The two current projects require advanced qualitative skills, working to deliver evaluations to tight deadlines and supporting other staff to analyse complex data, including cross-national analysis. The role will also require the postholder to develop research and evaluation skills in others, including community partners. They will lead on writing reports, papers and new project tenders, as well as co-developing larger proposals with university partners as opportunities arise.

We are searching for a Peer Support Worker to join our mental health services. The role is a peer support worker, who use own lived experience of mental health difficulties to support others on their recovery journey through the facilitation of group based, peer support.
Our peer support and recovery services are a key element of the services we offer, and we are looking for someone who can use their own lived experiences to provide support to help individuals achieve their goals.
Service Delivery
- Facilitate Peer Support groups and ensure outcomes which support individuals
- with mental health and wellbeing needs across Luton in line with Mind BLMK’s agreed peer support model and service’s KPIs and contract requirements.
- To support the Service Manager, when required, by assessing individual’s suitability for attending the peer support service in the line with the organisations Access to Services process.
- Signpost individuals to wider services and encourage and support people to access local activities and community services.
- Use own lived experience of mental health challenges to show hope, empathy and understanding in a safe space where people feel accepted. Share ideas and approaches that support the improvement of mental health and wellbeing and embed this in working practices as a peer.
- Work closely with Service Manager to ensure that our peer support service meet the needs of Luton’s diverse community.
- Encourage and support client engagement with Mind BLMK through the influence and participation process, Guarantor Membership, and training opportunities.
- Contribute to maintaining an effective volunteer workforce for the service in line with Mind BLMK’s HR policies, procedures and guidance (workload planning and support).
- Carry out Cash Handling, Health and Safety and Data Collection responsibilities as directed by the Team Leader in line with Mind BLMK’s policies, procedures, requirements and guidance.

About the role:
This is a new and exciting position for a Family Support Worker to join Combat Stress and work alongside the NHS as part of Op Courage throughout the Northwest of England. This position will be largely virtual, however travel to stakeholder locations will be expected as required. The role will be integrated into the Op Courage pathway, and as the service evolves and more staff are recruited, it is anticipated that the geographical region will become more localised, however in the first instance this position will involve supporting multiple NHS trusts within the North-West, therefore it would be preferable if the successful candidate lived within this area.
As Combat Stress is a national charity, the successful candidate will also be expected to create relationships with local authorities throughout the UK and to act as a liaison between the charity and the statutory sector in all matters pertaining to safeguarding.

Purpose of Post
The Community Outreach Worker (Complex Needs Housing Service) provides advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients who are experiencing mental ill health or need support with their mental wellbeing. They ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly, they remain a source of independent support for all clients and they will embed a person centred recovery orientated and trauma informed approach in all aspects of the role.
About the Service
The Complex Needs Housing Service works as a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) with housing teams and Drug and Alcohol Services across District and Borough councils. These teams will be working with individuals who are presenting as homeless and have a number of Complex Needs.
Service Objectives
- To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental ill health.
- To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental ill health in, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
- To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- To reduce the use of police, ASB, tenancy enforcement, housing needs and environmental health services by clients whose primary need is related to mental ill health.
- To reduce the use of crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health with positive outcomes for the individual.
- To provide an assertive outreach approach for clients who are in crisis and/ or those that may have complex or multiple needs.
- To work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) consisting of Change Grow Live (CGL), District and Borough councils, housing teams and other professionals.

What is the overall purpose of the role?

The Staying Connected project provides weekly one-to-one and group support for young people aged 11 - 19 years, facing multiple challenges. Key Responsibilities
Programme management
- Support with the planning and delivery of an innovative, cohesive and progressive programme of delivery for Staying Connected (focusing on personal and social development skills).
- Recruit, Engage and support young people 11-19 years to participate in the Staying Connected programme
- Increase our local partnership work, adding value and additional expertise to the London youth support infrastructure
- Adhere to the Staying Connected provision Risk Assessment as/when required and carry out regular health and safety checks.

About the Project
Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN) has been awarded Hertfordshire’s CAMHS Early Help Digital Intervention Service (WithYOUth). The WithYOUth Service is an innovative partnership between BfB Labs and Hertfordshire Mind Network to provide a countywide digital service that is accessible to children and young people aged 5 – 18, at the earliest point of an emerging emotional wellbeing and/ or mental health need. The service will operate between 14:00 – 22:00 seven days a week.
Purpose of Post
As a CYP Support Worker you will be responsible for delivering this exciting service as part of a wider team, and whilst experience is advantageous, the most important thing to us and the children and young people we support is having the right values, skills and commitment to being part of this dynamic, new provision.
Our trauma-informed model offers a range of support options for CYP, based around digital interventions and supported by one-to-one and group sessions, so children and young people can engage in the way that works best for them. The service will build resilience in CYP by working with them to develop coping strategies and solutions that will enable them to improve their own health and wellbeing. We will also provide advice and guidance to parents/families/carers and professionals to provide a holistic response to supporting CYP and creating a network around them to empower and enable positive change.

Hope House provides support for 16 customers over 2 sites. The first site is a 10-bed supported housing unit and the second consists of 6 independent living flats. The supported housing unit has staff present 24 hours 7 days per week (with sleep- ins). Our customers residing in the independent living flats receive floating support during day-time hours.
The team at Hope House is comprised of 1 Contract Manager, 1 Team Leader, 4 Support Workers, 2 Waking Night Support Workers.
We have a current vacancy for a Waking Night Support Worker. This is a 9-month Fixed Term Contract secondment cover with the possibility of extension to a permanent contract depending on the current employee's secondment.
This is a great opportunity for a Night Support Worker wanting to gain exceptional experience within the mental health field, based on the solid working relationship with Specialist Community Mental Health Team (SCMHT). We have recently implemented training directly from SCMHT to support staff with understanding Mental Health diagnosis and Managing Crisis with our customers in-house.
The shift pattern for this role involves a rolling rota, meaning some weekend and bank holiday work will be required.

Making Every Adult Matter ( MEAM ) Support Worker
To support the delivery of the Rochdale MEAM service for women who are experiencing multiple disadvantage providing a high quality and individual service. The senior support worker is responsible to the service manager to effectively assess and identify and support clients and put in place appropriate asset based, trauma informed support.

The Role
