Job Summary
This role is an expansion of our employment pathway and will be our first dedicated employment coach for our students.
PiP has developed a unique reputation for our experience and quality of employment support for adults with learning disabilities. This has led to an increased number of referrals with a focus on employment, an expansion of our in-house social enterprise capacity, and more employers keen to work alongside us to diversify their staff base.
PiP is keen to respond to and meet this demand. This role for us is the next step in doing so, allowing us to increase our job coaching capacity and providing more dedicated resource for students on their employment journey. As to date our coaching has been delivered across our existing staff team.

Step-Out Mentoring is an early intervention mentoring organisation that provides support for children and young people in the heart of South London through outdoor based 1:1 mentoring and group workshops. As the Mentoring Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the work of supporting young people in the community. Through recruiting and training local volunteers to be Youth Mentors and matching them to young people referred to the program. Supporting 1:1 and group sessions with a particular focus on delivering outdoor based, fun, and engaging sessions. This role is specifically to support the young women and girls on the programme.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of up to 20 active 1:1 mentee / mentor relationships.
- Building appropriate relationships with, and supporting YP through 1:1 and group mentoring
- Supporting girls through focused workshops and group activities. Developing a curiculum of suport for them.
- Create pathways for inspiring YP to engage in positive volunteering opportunities.
- Managing referrals from other organisations and being involved in the support systems in place for those young people.
- To co-ordinate and train a team of volunteer mentors who will provide support to young people on a weekly basis. Specifically female mentors.
- To ensure the volunteer mentors support young people to access services and develop skills and support them in making choices which will help them improve their physical, psychological and social well-being.
- To ensure safeguarding and child protection processes are in place and adhered to at all times.
- To work with community organisations and statutory agencies to create referral and access pathways into and out of the mentoring project and to promote the project as widely aspossible.
- Plan, organise and manage the 3 residential trips a year, in collaboration with other staff.

This role benefits from regular clinical supervision from a qualified Clinical Psychologist. We believe that all staff delivering face-to-face services should have additional support and a confidential space to reflect and talk through the impact of their work on them.
We provide support to young people through outdoor based mentoring and group sessions.
Job Purpose: To work, under supervision, delivering evidence-based interventions for children and young people experiencing mild-moderate anxiety, low mood and behavioural difficulties. This will involve working individually with children or young people (5-18 years) and involving their parent(s)/caregivers as appropriate, offering psychoeducation workshops and co-facilitating therapeutic groupwork. Trainee Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs) will be expected to integrate into YMCA East Surrey’s Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health (EWMH) team and to support all early intervention work.
This Trainee Children's Wellbeing Practitioner role includes completion of the Child Wellbeing Practice Postgraduate or Graduate level Diploma run by the University of Sussex, which follows the nationally agreed curriculum to qualify as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner. This year the course will run from 7th Jan 2025, for 12 months, with 2 taught days at university per week, with some university holiday weeks built in, followed by time to consolidate skills and meet the final academic deadline for the course in January 2026. The teaching is a blend of in-person and online, with the majority of teaching in-person.
Participation in this course involves learning the theory, and then translating this into practice in your service and covers a wide range of materials over 8 taught modules. There are a variety of assessment modes to assess the required knowledge and competencies. This training equips the student to acquire relevant knowledge to be an effective community mental health professional, working with children, young people, and their parents/carers. It provides the trainee with the opportunity to gain competence in the core skills needed to assess and formulate mild to moderate mental health difficulties with children and young people (CYP), before being able to then learn the skills to work with them, using a specific cognitive-behaviourally informed therapeutic intervention to meet the identified mental health need.
The trainee will learn therapeutic interventions to use 1:1 with children and young people and in group settings; ways to work with parents and carers of CYP with anxiety and worry, or those with behaviours that challenge; how to engage CYP, parents/carers and staff working with CYP in psychoeducation workshops to promote mental wellbeing for CYP. Students will also learn the thresholds for guided self-help for CYP, direct low-intensity intervention work, and when to refer on to other services within the local area.
Hours of work:Full time - 35 hours per week
Working Pattern: 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday (one hour per day for lunch which is unpaid
Contract Type: Fixed term training contract (dependent on completion of the course).
Course to start January 2025 and finish approximately end of January 2026 when all coursework has been completed.
Location: Phoenix Youth Centre, Tadworth, but working across various locations in East Surrey, as necessary.
Attendance at University of Sussex 2 days per week from Jan to October.

Main Responsibilities:
Therapeutic skills
· Assess and deliver (under supervision), outcome focused, evidence-based interventions to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
· Working in partnership, support children, young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties and their families in the self-management of presenting difficulties.
· Work in partnership with children, young people and families in the development of plans for the intervention and agreed outcomes.
· Support and empower children, young people and families to make informed choices about the intervention.
· Operate at all times from an inclusive values base, which recognises and respects diversity.
· Accept referrals within agreed national and local protocols.
· Undertake accurate assessment of risk to self and others.
· Adhere to the service referral protocols. Under supervision, signpost unsuitable referrals to the relevant service as necessary.
· Through close case management and supervision, escalate cases where the level of need becomes beyond scope, or more severe ensuring adherence to other relevant elements of service delivery.
· Provide a range of information and support for evidence based psychological treatments, primarily guided self-help. This work may be face-to-face, by telephone or via other media.
· Adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to the overall number of children and young people contacts offered, and sessions carried out per week in order to improve timely access and minimise waiting times.
· Attend multi-disciplinary meetings relating to referrals or CYP in treatment, where appropriate.
· Keep coherent records of all activity in line with service protocols and use these records and outcome data to inform decision making. Complete all requirements relating to data collection.
· Assess and integrate issues relating to transitions, education and training/employment into the overall therapeutic process.
· Work within a collaborative approach involving a range of relevant others when indicated.
· Work in collaboration with children, young people and communities to enhance and widen access.
Training and Supervision
· Attend and fulfil all the requirements of the training element of the post including practical, academic and practice-based assessments.
· As well as attendance at the University for training, fulfil private study requirements to enhance learning and prepare assignments for examination - recommendation is 150 hours of study for each of the 8 modules, which includes the teaching days. Some study time within working hours can be negotiated with the manager, whilst it is expected that that study will also need to be completed in own time.
· Apply learning from the training programme to practice.
· Receive tutorial support from educational providers in relation to course work to meet the required standards.
· Prepare and present case load information to supervisors within the service on an agreed and scheduled basis to ensure safe practice and the governance obligations of the trainee, supervisor and service are delivered.
· Respond to and implement supervision suggestions by supervisors in practice.
· Engage in and respond to personal development supervision to improve competences and practice.
Professional
· Ensure the maintenance of standards of practice according to the employer and any regulating bodies and keep up to date on new recommendations/guidelines set by the relevant departments.
· Ensure that confidentiality is always protected.
· Ensure clear objectives are identified, discussed and reviewed with supervisor and senior colleagues on a regular basis as part of continuing professional development.
· Participate in individual performance review and respond to agreed objectives.
General
· Contribute to the development of best practice within the service.
· Ensure a comprehensive understanding of the relevant safeguarding legislation, guidance and best practice.
· Maintain up to date knowledge of legislation, national and local policies and procedures in relation to children and young people’s mental health.
· Any other duties are required to be performed within the grade and renumeration of the role.

Purpose of the Job
The Dad Matters coordinators deliver a range of universal and targeted interventions aimed at male parents in the First 1001 Days. They support dads and other male carers with attachment and bonding, mental health and access to service. They also work with professionals and perinatal services to ensure dads and male carers are engaged, supported and heard within clinical pathways.
The post holder will:
- Build on the Home-Start Haringey, Hackney and Waltham Forest foundation of peer support by engaging and supporting dads in one to one and group situations.
- Ensure that parent – infant relationships are a thread through every relationship and conversation with dads.
- Raise awareness of the risks of poor mental health for fathers and their families during the perinatal period
- Raise awareness of the impact on fathers of caring for a partner affected by perinatal mental health issues
- Develop the Dad Matters volunteer role
- Develop close links with other health and voluntary agencies
- Facilitate regular consultation with fathers through outreach and focus groups
Main Responsibilities
Support to Dads
The post holder will provide individual and group support to dads during the perinatal period. This will involve the following:
- Meeting dads at ante-natal clinics
- Facilitating or co-facilitating ante-natal Dad Chats in person and online
- Supporting the developments of support offered to dads with children on NICU and those with partners in receipt of care from Perinatal Mental Health teams, Adult Mental Health, IAPT and Parent Infant Mental Health teams
- Signposting and supporting access to other services as appropriate
- Undertake designated responsibilities to safeguard and promote children’s welfare
- Ensure equality of opportunity, fairness and diversity in all aspects of work
- Facilitate regular consultation with fathers in order to ensure that all resources are targeted appropriately
Promotion & Awareness Raising:
- Maintain up-to-date information for dads and make this available through the Dad Matters website and a range of social media
- Engage dads through social media, self-referral and email.
- Ensure the integrity of the Dad Matters Brand when engaging dads and professionals.
Recruiting & Managing Volunteers – this will involve:
- Promoting, developing and delivering volunteer recruitment campaigns
- Recruiting, selecting and preparing suitable volunteers
- Arranging and co-ordinating volunteer activity in person and online
- Providing support and supervision for volunteers engaged in working with dads
- To provide further training for Home-Start Haringey, Hackney and Waltham Forest home visiting volunteers as appropriate
Monitoring & Evaluation:
- Support the evaluation of the impact of Dad Matters
- Ensure accurate and relevant record keeping and data collection
Working in Partnership
- Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key health partners, including those from Parent Infant Mental Health teams, Midwifery, IAPT, Perinatal Teams, Adult Mental Health, Health Visiting and other VCSE groups

- Delivering/co-delivering training to multi-agency colleagues as appropriate

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic social researcher to join our fantastic Surrey Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) team.
Based with Good Company, a local anti-poverty charity, the Community Researcher role would design and conduct research on wider determinants of health (e.g., poverty, food insecurity) and their impacts on health inequalities, with a particular focus on co-production and other forms of participatory research. The wider determinants of health are a diverse range of social, economic and environmental factors which influence people’s mental and physical health. Systematic variation in these factors constitutes social inequality, an important driver of the health inequalities.
In addition, this role would seek to increase the capacity of local voluntary sector organisations to carry out their own participatory research, as well as supporting the HDRC programme team in promoting participatory research methods across Surrey and building the local evidence base on the wider determinants of health.
There will be a second Community Researcher post based with Reigate & Banstead Council which will focus on building the participatory research capacity within the local authority.
About Surrey Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC):
This role would form part of the new and innovative Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) programme funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR). The Surrey HDRC programme is delivered by Surrey County Council, University of Surrey (UoS), alongside local partners Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, Good Company and Surrey Minority Ethnic Forum (SMEF).
Surrey HDRC is designed to boost the capacity of Surrey County Council to do research, together with our communities, with the aim of improving health outcomes and reducing health inequalities in Surrey communities. Surrey HDRC will develop a sustainable research culture, build research capacity and capability, and increase our local evidence-base on wider determinants of health.
About this role:
The post holder will be based at Good Company and will work as part of the Surrey HDRC programme team, leading on participatory research and co-production. The role includes:
· Developing a programme of research on wider determinants of health inequalities, with a particular focus on co-production and other forms of participatory research.
· Strengthening the participatory and co-production research capacity across Surrey, with a particular focus on the Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector.
· Actively supporting the wider Surrey HDRC team in promoting the value of participatory research and co-production across Surrey County Council and its partners and building the local evidence-base on the social and wider determinants of health.
The post holder should have demonstrable skills in qualitative research methods, including experience of conducting participatory research. Job Summary
CAAS provide an ADHD and Autism Support Service for the 8 boroughs of NW London, from our base in Eastcote, with a team of Support Workers. Our work includes offering information, advice, and support to ADHD / autistic people, their families, and professionals in NW London, with the aim of improving quality of life and developing neurodiverse-aware communities. Some of the support is offered through one2one meetings, some of the support is provided through groups and courses which aim to increase understanding and awareness, and provide opportunities for peer support, and some of the support is offered through training and workshops to educate professionals and drive for accommodations to be made to services to allow greater access for our client group.
The Family Team Lead will assist the Family Service Manager in overseeing the operational running and leadership and management of our Family Team at our centre in Eastcote.
The Family Team Lead will be responsible for the line management of some of our Family Support Workers, as well as the direct delivery of services, including being the lead facilitator on some of our parenting courses. As such, we are looking for a friendly, organised and hard-working individual. The role requires strong administrative skills, excellent communication skills and a drive to ensure everyone who seeks support from us has the best possible experience.
