The aim of the programmes being delivered in different venues across the borough is to ensure access is in line with the Borough's "15 minute Neighbourhood" plan and is not a barrier to community engagement.Every effort will be sought to recruit faciitators, with a lived experience of mental illness, either personally or as a carer, and support them to deliver the programme. All the work will have a strong focus on helping to prevent members needing increased access to overstretched primary and secondary care services by adopting a strong person-centred approach.

Job Summary
Community Mental Health Transformation is part of a long-term plan to improve mental health services. Big Life group has commissioned Gaddum to support the development of the lived experience input in a key system change project for the improvement people’s experiences of services. Greater Manchester’s Co-Occurring Conditions project is centred on those who have concurrent mental health and substance use challenges.
Job Purpose
To support the development of lived experience engagement within the co-occurring conditions workstream. You will support people with lived experience to attend and contribute to design and testing session of services and systems.
You will work with the GM Co-Occurring Conditions Team and wider partners across GM to ensure lived experience is at the heart of mental health services in Greater Manchester.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Support people with lived experience to engage with the Co-Occurring Conditions workstream.
2. Attendance at events and publicising the programme.
3. Organising and ensuring involvement at Co-occurring Conditions meetings.
4. Developing community interest Representation across Coproduction internally and building opportunities across community led groups and peer groups.
5. Developing Lived Experience activities to encourage collaboration, information sharing and opportunities.
6. Identify and, wherever possible, remove barriers to panel member participation including but not limited to travel, childcare, carer responsibilities and translation costs.
7. Work collaboratively with other coproduction leads across Gaddum.
8. Manage the recruitment specific additional members for each of these opportunities, depending on the theme of the event.
9. Ensure that Lived Experience members, whether from the core group or single invitees, are properly off boarded.
10.Maintain records and data and to provide regular monitoring reports and outcomes, including end of project evaluation report.
11.Contribute to Gaddum newsletters, website, and meetings, sharing information and learning form the programme.

Peer support is an essential part of South East London Mind and we have Lived Experience Support Workers (LESWs) based in the Southwark Primary Care Mental Health Teams (PCMHT), assisting in a community mental health model in Southwark with a focus on integrated care. Working alongside and complementing the mental health care provided by South London and Maudsley NHS colleagues in the Multi-Disciplinary Teams, LESWs offer a strengths-based holistic approach with empathy and understanding, providing their clients with more pathways to recovery and accessing the right interventions and support based on their individual needs. They also support clients to develop and maintain independence in their local community, promoting resilience, building life skills, and a strengthened ability to cope with challenges and play a more active role in the management and sustainability of their wellbeing.
We are currently recruiting for a LESW position within the North PCMHT based at the Chaucer Resource Centre, 13 Ann Moss Way, London, SE16 2TH, with regular travel to community venues and home visits. This role involves connecting with service users based on shared experiences of mental health challenges, therefore lived experience of mental health challenges is an essential requirement for this role. Islington Mental Health Accommodation Pathway provides support to people living with various mental health conditions and complex needs. The service consists of a 24-hour supported accommodation service, and 3 medium-low supported accommodation services across the borough of Islington.
Support Workers at Islington Mental Health Accommodation Pathway work within a multi-disciplinary team, providing support to customers with a range of mental health and support needs. We are looking to recruit a Mental Health Project Worker who will be based at our Cornerstone Day Centre, a community centre for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The project worker will actively promote and support the aims and objectives of the Cornerstone Health Hub and the Cornerstone Homeless Mental Health Project.

Richmond Borough Mind (RB Mind) is a mental health charity dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of the local community. Our Peer Support Service in partnership with the NHS South West London and St George’s Trust provides emotional support, guidance, and community connections for unpaid carers supporting loved ones with mental health challenges.

INTRODUCTION
An exciting opportunity to work with the Islington Core community mental health multidisciplinary/multiagency team, which integrates services across Health, Social Care and the Voluntary & Community Sector.

Highway House is a charity that has been providing all year round shelter and support services to the homeless for the past 15 years. Our work with the homeless has evolved an adapted from 2009 to date to offer the support most needed at any given time. Highway House received the Faith Recognition Award for providing specialist services by Her Majesty’s Lieutenant at the Royal College of Medicine in November 2017. Summary of role
This post is responsible for ensuring that guests who attend Highway House are in the first instance made welcome. The primary role will be to engage those guests that attend the day centre and guests that are resident in the shelter’s accommodation in developing a pathway of support for them and help them move to the maximum independence they are capable of. Providing baseline and continuing monitoring of their progress will be required, as will working closely with the project manager.

SHP (Single Homeless Project) is one of London’s leading homelessness prevention charities and a dynamic and growing organisation changing 10,000 lives every year across London - from supporting people in crisis, to helping them take the final steps towards independence and employment.
We are seeking an experienced and a highly motivated staff member for our Complex Needs Accommodation Service. This Project is a 15 bed mixed gender supported accommodation based in Islington. The role will require you to work alongside the Regional Services Manager, to provide a high level of support to these clients.
You will be in a specialist role designed to work with people with complex support needs relating to: mental ill health, physical health & substance use needs. You will also play a key part in reducing the risk of re-offending, liaising with external professionals, preventing homelessness and promoting the independence and social inclusion of these clients.

The Vulnerable Adults service (VAS) consists of two branches - Lead Worker and Supported Accommodation. These sister services work in close partnership to provide consistent, flexible support across Birmingham 365 days a year from 9AM-9PM.

We have an opportunity for an approachable and communicative individual to work with clients in a holistic person-centred way to build independence, community networks and improve quality of life.
You’ll work with people experiencing a variety of mental health conditions, including individuals with dual diagnosis, complex needs and challenging behaviour and will ensure that they feel supported, as the embark on their journey to improve their wellbeing and build interdependence.
It takes a village to help us grow, so you’ll be there to ensure that they engage in their community and build social networks. You’ll encourage them to constantly improve their physical and mental wellbeing, by attending relevant appointments and ensure access to health services. It’s more than that too, it’s also about helping them with finances, reducing debt and understanding the importance of budgeting, as well as finding new skills through employment or education.
You’ll work closely with each individual, reviewing personalised support plans and maintaining relevant assessment documentation, identifying any new barriers or changes in their circumstances that may have an impact on the achievement of their goals.
With experience of working in the mental health field, you’ll demonstrate a good understanding of the obstacles that can be faced and how to overcome them to reach certain goals. You’ll be able to empathise with the daily struggles that people face and will have a commitment to user involvement and empowerment. As an ambassador for Birmingham Mind, you’ll share our values and ethos, as you deliver each support plan and remain focused on the end result.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring a Recovery Worker to join our women's only refuge in Hove. The service supports 18 women with a trauma informed approach using a psychologically informed environment model to provide high quality, person centred support to all our residents.
You will support with a range of frontline care and support activities within the service, in a varied role. You will work towards supporting residents/participants to achieve their desired goals/outcomes, and will ensure all residents/participants understand and have the right tools and resources for positive outcomes. You will also develop, participate in, and encourage residents/participants to participate in the running of activities, projects and events. There will be a focus on risk assessments and management, as well as housing and property management.
Shift Pattern: 22.5 hours per week on a rota. This may include shifts between Monday to Friday.
Salary: £23,800 (pro rata)

- Experience in providing housing support and practical assistance within a residential or outreach support role
- Previous experience in a similar organisation/industry/role

The Role
Our dynamic team supports over 80 adults living within SW London. The role is predominantly lone working in the community, but you will be supported by and part of a large support worker team.
Experience is not required, as full training will be provided. Many of those who work with us have never worked in social care previously.

• Salary: £13.46 per hour (£26,200 FTE)
• Hours: Shifts are 5.5 hours and we are looking for additional staff members to cover 1-4 shifts per week, ensuring that we are accessible to visitors between 6 - 10pm every evening. Initially we will require temporary cover for 1-2 shifts per week, but there is potential for this to increase to up to 4 shifts as part of a permanent role.
