What you'll do:
Payroll
Be responsible for the day to day delivery and coordination of the administration of the Payroll function, ensuring a timely and accurate payroll service is delivered to Look Ahead's employees, workers and Board members, to agreed deadlines
Produce and review any monthly exception reports to identify and rectify any payroll errors arising
Work with the HR Admin and Payroll Manager, Director of People and Director of Finance to ensure that payroll data processing reviews are rigorously and independently checked, validated and signed off
Act as liaison with internal and external auditors and other 3rd parties (as appropriate) on all matters with regard to Payroll processes, controls and systems
Act as liaison with MHR, HR department and Business Systems team on all areas of the payroll.
HR Admin
Acting as the first point of contact for all HR Admin related queries, via phone and email; responding promptly, whilst managing expectations effectively
Ensure letters for contractual changes for staff are sent out in a timely and accurate way and all relevant systems updated
Respond to straightforward policy and process queries, providing appropriate advice and guidance in line with Look Ahead policy, ensure that urgent items are prioritised and that any issues are highlighted and resolved as quickly as possible; escalate to the Admin Manager or an HR Business Partner as appropriate

Camden’s Integrated Drug and Alcohol service is offering an incredible opportunity for individuals with lived experience of homelessness and/or substance use to join a pioneering team supporting others in their recovery journey. With one year of funding secured, we are seeking two passionate and dynamic individuals to take on specialist roles, based at both treatment sites and within Camden hostels. Work pattern: A full-time pattern will be a 7-day flexible rota, working 17:30 - 01:30.
This role is managing a shift delivering emotional support to those in mental health crisis, face to face and over the telephone through our helpline.
About the Service
Our Nightlight Service (Cafés, Helpline, 24/7 Crisis House and Daylight provision) is proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways.
We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our helpline, crisis centres, crisis cafes and a weekend Crisis House. We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary. As a member of our team you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach as to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect. By honouring the individual experience of each service user, we are able to respect their autonomy as well as encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery.
The objectives of Hertfordshire Mind Network’s (HMN) Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Services are:
- To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire.
- To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
- To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- To provide an alternative pathway to people in distress and crisis to support better outcomes and reduce the demand on statutory crisis services and emergency services.
- At the Crisis Cafes we promote and enable people to access support in a way that suits them, whether that’s through talking to someone or simply by providing a safe space to have time alone or engage with trained staff.
About the Role
Alongside other Crisis Cafe Coordinators, you will be a key member of the Crisis team, providing effective operational leadership delivering the Nightlight Mental Health Crisis Café and Helpline Service. You will be ensuring the delivery and development of quality crisis support services and instilling Hertfordshire Mind Network’s values throughout the provision. You will provide management support to Crisis Café and Helpline Mental Health Support Workers and volunteers and support the Crisis Café Team Leader in ensuring practice within the service is safe, effective and person centred.

About the Role
The Street Engagement Team is a multi-disciplinary team that provides person-led support to people experiencing street homelessness and interconnecting needs.
A day in this role is never the same – part of it will be spent on the street, offering support to people experiencing homelessness. You might be out with another member of the team, or with one of our specialist health partners like a homeless health nurse, or substance use worker. Alongside this element of the role, the rest of your day will be spent intensively supporting a small caseload of people who are isolated from services.
You will have substantial experience in delivering a person-led, psychologically, gender and culturally informed service to people who are street homeless. You will be excellent at building and strengthening trust in relationships. You will be a problem solver, with a positive attitude towards change and service development.
You will also have the personal credibility to build confidence in the wider community and across partnerships. You will be both strength-based and solution-focused, developing and enhancing the relationships with a commitment to embed coproduction into The Connections services.

You will be based across two locations, one which is a residential project, providing accommodation to homeless families with support needs including expectant mothers, mothers with up to two children under the age of 10, or single women aiming to have guardianship of their children. The other service provides temporary accommodation to single homeless males who have various support needs which could include mental health, substance misuse, and offending history.
You will be based across both services, providing overall leadership and management of your service projects and teams who deliver high quality, trauma informed support to residents. Your role will ensure full contract and regulatory compliance, being a role model and leader for your team to achieve service KPI's and other requirements for the service.
We are seeking a passionate, driven and motivated colleague to lead this service in a trauma informed and inclusive way. Someone who is knowledgeable in the needs of our residents, and can support the team in delivering excellence. You will be driven with passion for what we do, and be able to work flexibly to meet service needs, providing new ideas and opportunities to develop the service further to continue to achieve excellence!
The role includes:
- Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
- Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service

We are looking for a Housing Night Worker to join our Horsham Y team. Main areas of responsibilities are:
Safety and security
- Provide a friendly and professional front-of-house welcome to residents, visitors and staff, and ensure the building is safe, secure quiet and welcoming

About the role
As an Experienced Practitioner, you will provide direct support and care for our young people who have complex emotional and mental health difficulties (such as trauma and loss) and can struggle to regulate their emotions. Working within a therapeutic framework, you will develop a direct programme of work aimed at developing authentic relationships with our young people (aged 16 – 24 years old), you will also have responsibility for making sure our residents are safe, providing support, liaison with other professionals and completion of support documents to record information.

Job description
Job Purpose
To manage and develop the home from hospital settle service in the hospitals that you are responsible for, to support timely and successful patient discharges from hospital and prevent re-admissions. You will work in collaboration with hospital teams and community teams to lead and manage your team to support the smooth transition from hospital to home for service users. The service works with people for time limited support (usually up to 6 weeks) to adjust and settle back in their homes, and to prevent readmission into hospital.
Key Tasks
- Work in partnership with the hospitals and other health and social care professionals to coordinate safe and timely discharges for referred clients. This involves attending meetings with hospital personnel including Discharge Co-ordinators and Ward Managers to discuss discharges and plan who and how individuals will be supported as appropriate.
- Manage a team working across two hospitals and ensuring the service is available between the contracted hours.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies providing support services.
- Conduct initial assessments of people referred to the services as necessary.
- Plan and develop person centred interventions to provide short term support for people after hospital discharge.
- Work with GPs as appropriate in identifying and supporting patients to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions.
- Work with people with a range of needs, dealing with issues ranging from social isolation and keeping people engaged in their community, to preventing unnecessary admission to hospital.
- Support the hospitals with delayed transfer of care (DTOC).

Job Title: Fostering Supervising Social Worker
£38,717 per annum (£36,467 salary + £750 homeworking allowance + £1,500 out of hours allowance) + an additional £4,184 London weighting allowance if living in a London borough.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Fostering Supervising Social Worker to join our growing team, developing new services and support for our carers in Kent. The Supervising Social Worker will use a therapeutic parenting skills, alongside our trauma informed approach to support and advocate for our carers and the young people and children they look after. The Fostering Supervising Social Worker will be an essential presence in our recruitment and retention of carers events and must be willing to travel regularly as part of their duties.

Overall Duties of the Fostering Supervising Social Worker will include:
- Provision of regular support and supervisory visits to Foster Carers using a trauma informed approach
- Ensuring children are visited, listened to and are able to participate in TACT's activities
- Identifying the professional development of foster families and provide therapeutic support where appropriate
- Use therapeutic parenting skills and facilitate support groups as needed
- Ensure regulatory requirements are met and exceeded in line with TACT's policies and procedures
- Adhere to child protection and safeguarding procedures and practice
- Participate in activities to develop and grow TACT's presence in the region

The Fostering Senior Supervising Social Worker will be required to travel throughout Kent as outlined and to London at least once a month and on other occasions for training and team wellbeing events.

You will be experienced in establishing programmes, working independently and establishing corporate partnerships in charitable or non-profit organisations that do not necessarily have registered charity status.

1. Partnership Development:
* Lead on the development of a new corporate partnerships programme for Look Ahead - researching, identifying, approaching, securing and activating a pipeline of new corporate partners
* Develop tailored proposals and partnership opportunities that align with Look Ahead's mission, vision, values and strategic objectives and meet needs of our services and people we support
* Work closely with Operations to identify corporate opportunities (e.g. to secure corporate funding for activity in a particular service, customer group or geographic location) and match and maximise potential corporate donors.
2. Partnership Management:
* Develop and implement partnership strategies that drive financial, in-kind and employee support (e.g. through challenge/community fundraising events) in support of Look Ahead's work
* Build, steward and nurture long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with key corporate stakeholders, through a stewardship approach
* Lead the management of existing corporate partnerships, ensuring clear communication, tracking of deliverables, and maintaining a positive relationship with all stakeholders.
* Build on existing relationships developed through our corporate volunteering and social value activity, developing these into longer-term, higher-value partnerships
