About the Role
You will be working in one of three dispersed properties within a multi-agency team of other charities in the same accommodation which will be based in Havering. It is a therapeutic service to provide young people with an opportunity to a fresh start. The service will work creatively and holistically to enable young people to move forward from lifestyles which were impacted by gangs and exploitation and help them reach their full potential by identifying and reaching their aspirations, assisting them to move on successfully to appropriate independent living.
The Senior Progression Coach is responsible for contributing to the effective and safe delivery of the service on a day-to-day basis. You will hold responsibility for the safety and well-being of all clients, volunteers, visitors and staff in the service. You will lead in ensuring that the housing management is properly maintained and the service supports clients to sustain their tenancy agreement and develop skills and resilience.
Key responsibilities include:
- You will always ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service including ensuring that Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures are followed as laid out in Depaul’s Policy and Procedures.
- You will ensure the high quality of risk and needs assessments, SMART outcomes-based support plans and case files for clients of your line reports.
- You will deliver one-to-one and group support opportunities within their accommodation and in the local community aimed at increasing resilience in the clients we work with.
- You will proactively partner with consortium colleagues, Lambeth and local agencies including statutory teams, to support the wellbeing of Depaul clients following data protection and information sharing protocols.
- You will be flexible, reflective and creative in your engagement with clients and personalised in your support to them.
- You will support all clients to participate in Education, Training, Employment and Volunteering opportunities as appropriate to the development of their skills, assets and aspirations, through facilitating the work of Depaul’s Community Programmes Team.
About You
You will need to have the following skills and experience:
- An understanding and commitment to working in an assets-based way.
- Good level of experience working with people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance use or have a history of living in care.
- Relevant life experience is desirable
- Experience in using Risk Assessments and Support Planning.

-Community outreach: Experience engaging hard-to-reach families and providing accessible support in community settings.
Skills
-Extensive experience in leading and managing diverse teams, ensuring high-quality performance and providing supervision in challenging situations.
-Ability to coordinate staff work patterns, including on-call rotas, and line manage senior staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
-Strong ability to think creatively and respond to new, complex, or challenging situations, particularly in crisis intervention and safeguarding.
Qualification
-A qualification in leadership or management.
-Extensive experience of leadership/management with evidence of continual professional development.
-Managerial experience in working with children, young people and families in a similar setting, delivering support and structured interventions for the whole family.

Overall Duties of the Senior Supervising Social Worker will include:
- An appropriate social work qualification
- Up-to-date registration with Social Work England
- A minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience in fostering/family placements or other childcare settings
- Experience in supporting and supervising and visiting, foster families to meet the complex needs of the looked-after young people
- A proven track record in working with and on behalf of children, respecting and maintaining their individuality, and promoting their positive development.
- Experience in group work and/or delivery of training.

The role will be responsible for supporting the implementation of our Safeguarding Operational Plan. This includes coordinating safeguarding audits, developing resources, operating a triage service on daily safeguarding alerts raised by staff and championing reporting and analysis via our digital safeguarding management system (In-Form).
The role will be based in either of West Sussex sites in Horsham or Crawley, and they would become the main point of contact for the West Sussex Children & Adult Safeguarding Boards with regard to training and best practice. With a turnover of £1.6m we are sustainable but have unfunded projects that will benefit our service users. You would support our service areas from children to the elderly, physical disabilities to mental health, fundamentally improving the quality of life of people in our communities.
Role
You will need to be good at research and submit well written applications to grant making organisations. You will also be good at building relationships so that we can gain year on year funding for our projects.
We want to work with smaller grant makers but also focus on large grant opportunities through the likes of National Lottery, Henry Smith etc.
As part of your role you would be good at IT, recording progress on our customised Salesforce CRM system.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria:
- At least 2 years’ experience of developing and delivering fundraising strategies and plans that support organisational growth
- Proven ability to identify and draft grant funding bids and other forms of funding applications
- Highly developed written and presentation skills with proven ability to write and present using a range of materials including emotive and compelling prose suitable for different audiences
- Good analytical and research skills with the ability to process and present complex information clearly and concisely
- Working knowledge of using IT- key social media platforms, the Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent coordination and organisational skills
- The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Entrepreneurial, results-driven and able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Commitment to delivering quality and to continual improvement in practice
- A self-motivated individual with the perseverance to work towards long term goals
- Passionate, creative and motivated, to achieve ambitious targets

Turning tides is our exciting new project working with young people aged 18-25 offering one to one coaching in community based settings. The project delivers bespoke support based on a young persons needs and challenges. We are looking to appoint a wellbeing coach based in Whitby . The ideal candidate will live in Whitby and have a good understanding of the area and its resources.

We’re seeking excellent teachers who want to enjoy a completely different way of working!
Our Outreach teachers support students who aren’t currently able to attend school, for example because of mental or physical health needs or challenges in previous schools.
This is a mobile role which requires flexibility; you and a Teaching Assistant will work from a designated space in the family home, or at a local library, and offer personalised education for each student. Our ideal candidate is inclusive and uses the child as the starting point to plan an engaging and suitable curriculum which helps each child to meet their EHCP outcomes and grow academically too.
We work hard to match the right student with the right teacher and Teaching Assistant; you may be an expert with students in a particular age group (our students range from 6 to 16), subject, or enjoy working with students who have particular needs such as SEMH, hearing impairments or Autism Spectrum Condition. Almost all of our students have EHCPs, though their needs are quite varied. Our students benefit from creative approaches to learning so you can have fun with how to you teach!
Because of their vulnerabilities and often disrupted learning experiences, our students need a caring approach and our work is underpinned by the principles of Attachment Theory. To flourish in this role you must care about children and believe that every child deserves the best opportunity to achieve their potential, whatever that looks like.
The ideal candidate will also be able to develop positive relationships with parents and carers. Experience working with students with SEND or in a Special School is advantageous but not essential.

Having worked in a stressful and emotional environment you will have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss, and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.
Location:
This role covers Liverpool and surrounding areas. The role does require travel, however you have the freedom to plan your own diary around the demands of both the families you are working with, your team, and also any personal appointments you may need to attend.
