We are advertising for Bank Project Workers to work a variety of shifts at our Young Parents’ Accommodation in Blackburn which provides a high standard of housing management that delivers a safe and supported environment for young parents and their babies.

This accommodation operates a 24-hour support service with waking nights, 7 days a week.  Therefore, we are looking to recruit Bank Project Workers to work nights, evenings and weekends to ensure a smooth-running service for our accommodation.

The role involves supporting young parents to look after the health and development of themselves and their babies, as well as working positively with other professionals and agencies. You will provide excellent customer service and work with the young parents in a strengths-based way to support young parents achieve their goals and help support the young parents to move into their own independent tenancies.

An NVQ2 in Health & Social Care (Adults) or similar qualification or equivalent education or work experience is essential.

We are looking for an empathic and resilient individual to join a friendly and well-established team of part-time, remote-based Information and Support Officers, on a 12-month contract. The purpose of this role is to provide a holistic, client-centred, effective and efficient Information and Support Service to people affected by M.E. We do this primarily via outgoing calls made in response to triaged voicemail messages, and also via email.

You can choose to be home-based anywhere in the UK, work from our Bristol office, or a hybrid of the two.

Our Information and Support Service team has a deep understanding of the issues affecting people with M.E. and their family and carers. The IDVA team works within a multi-agency system to provide a proactive, person-centered independent service for victims of domestic abuse, empowering choice through informed decision making.

Key elements of the role include:

• Providing priority support to service users.
• Risk assessing and helping to keep service users safe through safety planning.

• Engaging with and supporting the MARAC process, to ensure that the voice of victims is heard.

Who are we looking for?

The Role

Changing Faces is looking for an enthusiastic and well-rounded digital leader to manage key digital functions across the charity.

Digital Manager
Location: Flexible – we are currently without a fixed office space and so all staff work remotely. Some travel will be required for all staff meetings as below.
Salary range / benefits: The role is 0.8 WTE and the full-time-equivalent salary range is Manager band 17-22, £35,057 to £40,641; 25 days basic holiday; 6% pension contribution. 

The role requires excellent content creation, problem solving and technical skills to support the use of digital platforms and tools within the organisation.  Your role will be pivotal in enabling our service delivery, campaigns and communications, and fundraising activity, all aligned with Changing Faces strategic goals.  We are looking for candidates who are competent in using digital platforms, planning and creating content, using analytical tools and supporting the implementation of digital projects.  If you have a strong commitment to user engagement and a passion for supporting people affected by a visible difference, we want to hear from you.

The main purpose of the role is to:

• Maintain and develop the existing Changing Faces website.
• Support internal teams to plan new content and campaigns in line with content design and best practice.
• Develop the charity’s email programme to engage our supporters and grow our subscriber base.
• Support teams within the organisation to maximise awareness of our services and their impact and boost our online donations.
• Support the development of new digital tools and platforms to support people with visible differences, and the integration of these within our existing digital platforms.

We are looking for:

• First class verbal and written communication skills: able to speak confidently to all levels of the organisation explain technical terms in plain English. Able to write effective and engaging content that is appropriate for the target audience.
• Demonstrable ability to write for different digital platforms and audiences, in particular websites, creating content that aligns with the charity’s branding, style guidance and industry standards and best practice.
• A good knowledge of HTML, accessibility and organic SEO best practice.
• A broad knowledge of digital and marketing disciplines.
• Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills to investigate platform issues or provide support to teams.
• Ability to work effectively, collaboratively and sensitively with a wide range of stakeholders and service users.
• Excellent attention to detail and having the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy when working under pressure.
• Competent using digital platforms such as content management systems (CMS) email and donor management platforms and customer relationship management software (CRM), with the ability to quickly acclimatise to new software.
• Experience with planning and creating content for a charity or similar organisation.
• Experience using analytical tools to interpret complex data into insights and actions.
• Experience supporting and implementing digital strategies and multi-stakeholder projects that support specific goals across the organisation.
• Previous experience of working with external agencies.
• Strong commitment to Changing Faces values, vision and purpose and to keeping the voices of people with visible differences at the heart of all work.
• Willingness and ability to work flexibly in response to changing organisational requirements.
