About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work within our policy, evidence and influencing team to achieve change for people with breast cancer in London.
You’ll play a key role leading the development and delivery of our influencing work in London. CSE are looking for an Intern to support the teams project development and fundraising activities. Providing support to colleagues in the development team, in the delivery of an effective and successful function of prospect research, project development, fundraising and bid writing. The Conscious Advertising Network is seeking to significantly grow its annual funding to a six figure (plus) annual budget. As a Fundraiser, you will play a crucial role in generating financial support for CAN’s mission and programs, helping break the link between advertising and harmful content online.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies, cultivating relationships with donors and philanthropic organisations, and managing fundraising campaigns.
You will work with an existing Fundraising Consultant to develop and deliver a fundraising strategy which will ensure CAN’s financial sustainability over the next 3 years.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop Fundraising Strategies:
· Work closely with CAN Founders and the Fundraising Consultant to develop comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organisational goals and the 3 year organisational strategy.
· Identify and prioritise fundraising opportunities, including grants, individual donors, corporate partnerships, and events. Develop and oversee a stewardship strategy to retain and cultivate donors, and embed across CAN Founders, staff and champions.
· Work with CAN volunteers on developing CAN’s commercial model and associated funding streams.
· Significantly grow the Conscious Advertising Networks annual funding to a six figure (plus) annual budget
2. Donor & Funder Organisation Cultivation and Relationship Management:
· Cultivate and steward relationships with existing funder organisations ensuring ongoing engagement and support.
· Identify and engage prospective funders and donors through following funder open calls, targeted outreach and relationship-building activities.
3. Fundraising Campaigns and Communications:
· Work with the Fundraising Consultant and colleagues to plan and execute robust fundraising campaigns, including online and offline initiatives, to generate revenue and raise awareness of our organisation's mission.
· Collaborate across CAN teams to develop compelling fundraising materials and messaging.
· Act as a representative for CAN to engage key audiences as required.
4. Pipeline Development, Grant Writing and Reporting:
· Research and identify potential grant opportunities from foundations, trusts, and government sources.
· Write grant proposals and applications, ensuring alignment with both CAN and funder priorities and requirements.
· Prepare regular reports for funders, providing updates on project progress and outcomes. Project managing the CAN Founders and Staff Team to ensure proper project kick offs, data gathering and sign offs.

5. Internal Processes and Reporting:
· Prepare robust fundraising forecasts for the senior team and finance colleagues, based on analysis of funding landscape and pipeline development.
· Track funder information, keeping up to date and setting a hight standard for relationship management
· Establish and support excellent administration related to each funder relationship.
Qualifications:
· Previous experience in fundraising, preferably within the nonprofit sector and with a provide ability to secure major grants from large-scale funders.
· Excellent knowledge of fundraising principles and best practices
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire donors and stakeholders.

Innovation Fund administration
- Provide administrative support for day-to-day operations of the Innovations Fund
- Implement project processes, including preparing and finalising contracts, coordinating payments, and maintaining project-related systems (e.g., tracking deliverables, activities, and invoices and expenditures)

To coordinate and grow York Mind’s community and events fundraising income through effective networking, event, and volunteer coordination.
This role sits within our Corporate Wellbeing Service team, where you will mainly work alongside our Head of Corporate Wellbeing Services and Corporate Fundraiser, to generate income for the charity through community engagement and events. You will be responsible for meeting the annual community and events income target. The role will require someone with strong organisational skills, and prior experience as a Fundraiser in another organisation. You will divide your time between developing, planning, and running events, supporting people to raise money on behalf of York Mind, and creating new relationships in the community, such as with schools and sports clubs. We have an annual calendar of both internal and external events, including our annual Mental Elf run, as well as challenges such as the York 10k and Yorkshire Marathon. Your role will be to fill events, and effectively steward and support people to raise as much money as possible through their participation. As part of your role in event coordination, you will be responsible for our fundraising volunteer base, including recruitment and effective utilisation of volunteers at our various events. Flexibility will be key, as some events happen on evenings and weekends. Another important part of this role will be engaging and developing relationships with community supporters. You should have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy getting out and about in the community (eg. sports clubs/community organisations) to grow our supporter base and look after those who we currently work with. Job Purpose:
Women in Prison’s Advocates deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons, which focuses on early intervention, and holistic provision as part of a ‘whole system’ multi-agency response that looks to address the root causes of women’s offending.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide in-depth, ongoing support to a caseload of women who have been referred for support by prison staff, predominately the Mental Health In-Reach Teams and Primary Care Teams.
Key Responsibility Areas:
1. Provide high-quality, trauma-responsive advocacy and support to women in contact with the criminal justice system.
2. Maintain case management systems to ensure accurate and timely data recording.
3. Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders such as statutory and voluntary sector agencies.

About the role
As a valued member of our Customer Engagement team, your role will be pivotal in driving our support and fundraising efforts through outbound calling. Your mission is to connect with our British Heart Foundation (BHF) supporters, who are the lifeblood of our organisation.
Here’s how you’ll make a difference:
- Supporter Engagement Specialist: Connecting with our BHF supporters through outbound calls.
- Fundraising Event Advocate: Promoting major fundraising events like the London Marathon and the London to Brighton Bike Ride.
- Customer Experience Ambassador: Enhancing satisfaction and relationships through stewardship activities.
We are looking to start someone in the this role on 4 December 2024.
About you
- Outbound Calling Experience: You’ve honed your skills in a call centre environment, where you’ve built strong relationships over the phone. You can use your experience in this environment to enhance our customer experience and drive fundraising revenue.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Your written and spoken English is impeccable. You’ve previously experience engaging with customers both on calls and in writing.
- Tech Proficiency: Your computer literacy is top-notch, you have experience with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and data entry.
- Outstanding Customer Service: World-class customer service is your mantra. Your empathy and enthusiasm radiate, and your skills enable you to facilitate informative and engaging customer interactions.
- Attention to Detail: You’re meticulous. Whether it’s accurately recording data or ensuring smooth operations, your administrative skills shine through.
Working arrangements
Working hours are between 09:00am – 07:00pm, subject to business needs. Normal working hours are 09:00am to 05:00pm - Monday to Friday with flexibility to work Saturdays and 11:00am - 07:00pm during peak event season.
This is a blended role, where your work will be dual located between your home and our Birmingham office (B37 7YE).
At the BHF we believe in the power of being together, so our colleagues on blended contracts can expect to spend some time in their office, at least one day each week, on average. At the moment, the team typically go into the office once a week on a Wednesday. The use of our office spaces is driven in part by your role and the activities you need to do. This may vary from time to time, so you will need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.

About the role
As a Contact Centre Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, supporters, and fundraisers. Your mission will be to provide an exceptional customer experience by keeping interactions Epic, Emotional, and Easy. Your daily tasks will include:
- Responding to and resolve inbound queries via telephone, email,social media and live chat.
- Providing information, taking donations, and resolving customer complaints or queries.
- Using our ticketing and CRM systems to update customer records with preferences and reasons for contact.
In this dynamic and customer focused role, you'll harness your active listening, empathy, and problem-solving skills to guarantee a seamless and positive customer experience.
About you:
We are looking for candidates with the ability to remain calm and patient in fast paced environment, providing consistent and engaging support, as well as the following key skills:
- Contact Centre Experience: Preferably you will have a proven track record in a contact centre or call handling environment, demonstrating your ability to handle inbound queries effectively.
- Passion for Customer Service Excellence: A genuine enthusiasm for delivering exceptional customer service, with a commitment to making every interaction a positive and memorable one.
- Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information clearly and professionally to customers and colleagues. Previous experience communicating with customer via socail media would be advantage.
- Digital Proficiency: Excellent IT skills and able to navigate multiple systems, allowing for seamless navigation and efficient customer support.
- Multitasking: You have the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritise effectively, and manage your own time efficiently.
- Adaptability: You can remaining calm under pressure, adapt to change, able to solve problems, and maintain a positive attitude.

The Daniel Spargo-Mabbs Foundation is a drug and alcohol education charity, founded by Fiona and Tim Spargo-Mabbs in 2014 in response to the death of their 16-year-old son Dan having taken ecstasy. The charity aims to support young people to make safe choices and reduce harm, through increasing their understanding of the effects and risks of drugs and alcohol, and improving their life skills & resilience. We work with young people, parents, teachers and professionals, in schools, colleges and communities across the UK.
You’ll be responsible for arranging and confirming bookings for Theatre in Education play performances within schools, coordinating DSMF events and working with the existing Bookings Administrator to support our ever-growing delivery of drug education workshops withing schools. A key aspect of your work will be developing effective professional relationships with the theatre companies commissioned to deliver the performances, and with the schools we work with.
