Respect is a pioneering UK membership organisation in the domestic abuse sector.

We are seeking a Fundraising Manager to help us develop our fundraising programme and raise the funds we need to deliver the aims in our five-year strategy Stopping the Harm and ensure the ongoing sustainability of our organisation.

Our new Fundraising Manager will be flexible, creative and ambitious.  We are looking for someone who is passionate about our cause, has a tried and tested, successful approach to diversifying income streams, and can bring our fundraising to life through effective framing and storytelling.

This is vital role which will sit within our Operations team. The post-holder will work closely with Respect’s Director of Operations and the Executive Leadership team (ELT) to develop and deliver our fundraising strategy with some administrative support from the Operations team. 

Alongside traditional trusts and foundations, we are looking to expand our funding portfolio and are keen to explore new corporate partnerships and identify high net worth individuals. We recognise that success is not only achieving a fundraising target, but also about building new, strategic relationships. In this role, we will provide the space for the post holder to cultivate, prospect and steward new and existing funders.

The RIBA Corporate Partnerships team is a new team that has been specifically created to innovate, attract, grow and deliver long-term, sustainable sponsorship revenue streams for RIBA, across a range of events, such as awards, conferences, talks, exhibitions and bespoke projects.

About the Role

The Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for leading on the acquisition and development of new corporate partners with the intention of driving sales, year-on-year revenue growth and profitability, across the corporate partnership’s portfolio.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships, this role focuses on securing revenue from leading organisations, both in the UK and internationally, and supports the successful delivery of corporate sponsorship activities, working with colleagues across the RIBA.

This role includes targeting, engaging and developing business with potential clients in our business category. These include, software providers, accountants, lawyers, banks, property companies, developers and built environment consultants.

You will be required to

• Actively seek, secure and maintain new long-term commercially viable corporate partnership sales opportunities through networking, direct targeting and via business related social media
• Develop a pipeline of corporate partner prospects in line with the business strategies, goals and objectives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with potential corporate partners, through securing and leading new business meetings
• Provide first point of contact and dedicated account management for corporate partners dealing with any queries or new requirements that may arise
• Monitor and manage corporate partner feedback to support development and client service improvement initiatives
• Oversight of corporate partnership accounts ensuring delivery of all agreed terms and requirements, while enabling sponsors’ objectives are met
• Attend client meetings and internal stakeholder and management meetings as the representative of the Corporate Partnerships team
• Attend events to ensure corporate partners’ requirements are successfully delivered, in line with contracted objectives and goals

Working with the Head of Corporate Partnerships

• Develop strategies for evolving and growing corporate partnerships, employing market intelligence to identify opportunities and assess the current market conditions
• Investigate ways to diversify our corporate partnership base and implement strategies to extend and grow our revenue streams
• Devise and implement strategies to increase revenue year-on-year across the RIBA awards, exhibitions, conferences and RIBAJ ‘special projects
• Prepare high quality and compelling corporate partnership proposals and presentations
• Support the development of corporate partnerships marketing collateral

What are we looking for?

​Ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years’ experience in a membership, media or an events organisation or charity. We are looking for an innovative individual with:

• Excellent interpersonal, organisational skills and written and verbal communication.
• A strong work ethic
• An ability to prioritise multiple projects simultaneously
• A knowledge of the architecture and construction industry would be an asset, though not essential.
• Proficient in all MS Office applications
• Ideally, experience of working with and selling to companies in our business category

Additional Information

We ask all members of Age UK's Partnerships and Philanthropy department to work from our London office at least once a week to enable collaboration, skills development and team dynamics (currently Thursdays).

From time to time, we may also require the successful candidate to come into our London office for face-to-face meetings with funders and colleagues at other times in the week: as per the terms of our hybrid contracts we aim to give seven days' notice when this happens.

This role will on occasions require travel outside of London and working outside of normal office hours e.g. for funder events and cultivation.

Advice Quality and Operations Managers will make sure clients get accurate and appropriate advice and that advisers are supported and can develop their skills.

Maintain a consistent quality of advice and help for clients by providing support, guidance and feedback on a day-to-day basis and using those insights to drive advice service development.

This role is vital in fostering a culture of quality and excellence within the agency, ensuring that both staff and volunteers are well-equipped to deliver exceptional advice services to clients.

Job Description

Strategy and planning

• Work with the Head of Advice to develop and deliver an operational plan to support delivery of the strategic priorities, which is measured, monitored and reported up to the CEO and Board of Trustees.
• Co-ordinate activities, procedures and systems so as to promote the common policies and practices with the appropriate advice services.
• Ensure that the strategy is accessible to and understood by all staff and volunteers and they know the role they play in achieving our goals.

Risk management and compliance

• Regularly review the risks to which the charity is exposed to relating to Advice Services and provide assurance that systems or procedures are in effective operation to manage those risks.
• Ensure the use of systems in place to meet the requirements of all applicable regulatory bodies relating to the Advice Service Delivery.
• Working with the rest of the management team ensures that good data protection practices are embedded in our day-to-day operations.
• Assess requests made in relation to GDPR.

People management and development

• Support team members in continuous learning that will equip and develop people to deliver outstanding advice delivery. Responsibility for the delivery of the training and development plan for the Advice Services Department including, sourcing, delivering, evaluating and maintaining records.
• Supervise the work of paid staff and volunteers
• Maintain and develop standards of service delivery.
• Advise the Head of Advice on staffing and service-related issues.
• Plan and allocate work, monitor achievements of deadlines and key performance indicators and provide support as appropriate.
• Ensure that the service area and projects are adequately resourced.
• Ensure recruitment and selection of paid staff and volunteers as appropriate.
• Develop inclusive learning and development activities to meet quality standards and the organisation’s learning and development plan. Facilitate inclusive group and / or one-to-one learning and development activities. Organise internal and external learning and development activities to ensure the competence and continuing development of staff and volunteers.
• Contribute to the assessment of competence of staff and volunteers. Co-ordinate assessment activities and make final decisions on competence.
• Working with the rest of the leadership team ensures the organisation delivers a fair, inclusive, equitable and transparent employee and volunteer experience, taking account of our EDI aims and in line with employment law and the Equality Act 2010.
• Ensure Open and timely communication that provides information about the organisation and context for decisions that are made, helps to build trust and confidence and earn legitimacy. 
• Ensure the effective performance management and development of staff through regular supervision sessions, appraisals and learning and development.
• Ensure Training is delivered and records confirm all client facing paid staff and volunteers that may be involved in providing money and debt information and advice have completed an accredited training programme
• Direct reports: Dependent on advice area, between 5 to 11 Advisors per AQOM, plus volunteers.

Operational performance management

• Maintain, develop and monitor effective and relevant performance indicators and management processes, with particular emphasis on the application of customer insight data and feedback on complaints.
• In line with the Advice Quality Standard, work with the Head of Advice and the other Advice Quality and Operations Managers to ensure that staff and volunteers have adequate supervision and that advisers have access to support at all times when delivering advice to clients. 
• Ensuring quality - actively supporting the quality of advice by guiding the team to information sources, checking that all aspects of a client's situation have been considered, checking that follow up work is progressed, and that research and campaigns issues are identified.
• Monitor the quality of advice given to clients to ensure that standards meet Citizens Advice requirements. Completing Case Checking, QAA Audits and independent file reviews (IFR) to ensure quality assurance at a whole service level. Using the insights to further develop the services to clients and skills of advisers.
• Maintain and develop standards of service delivery. 
• Take part in internal consistency exercises at least quarterly.

Direct Marketing Manager-Retention at the Disasters Emergency Committee is pivotal when we launch an appeal. They will shape and deliver new and existing supporter journeys for the DEC’s individual, community and legacy donors, and lead a programme of improvement across all major contact points between the DEC and the public.

The purpose of the role is to:

• Contribute to and develop DEC direct marketing strategies, including the refreshing, implementation and analysis of the DEC’s segmentation, to maximise future income and continually improve the retention of individual supporters for future emergency appeals,
• Lead on the production of retention and reporting back materials for individual and community supporters,
• Manage the development and maintenance of specific supporter journeys,
• Develop and oversee the materials and supporter positioning for a light touch and mainly reactive legacy marketing programme for the DEC.

The role will deliver responsibilities for strategy and planning, fundraising, networking and building relationships. You must have strong direct marketing experience with a focus on high volume donor acquisition and demonstrable knowledge of direct marketing techniques such as direct mail, email, SMS and SMS content management systems.

A proven track record of developing effective digital and direct marketing strategies, which resulted in significant growth of income and retention of a charity’s individual supporters. Experience of managing complex budgets and proven ability to manage a complex operational plan within very short timeframes and within budget.

You must have excellent understanding of donor motivations, managing donor relationships, supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.

Ideally you will have experience of working in the international humanitarian aid sector, have excellent understanding of current trends within charity direct marketing and have used Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Google analytics.

An ability to work under extreme pressure during appeals and to very tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail is a key driver for success in this role.

You will join a collaborative team, department and organisation that excels in maximising their fundraising effort in response to disasters that keeps donors and recipients of funds updated and engaged throughout and beyond the journey of an appeal.

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Property and Asset Manager to lead the Council's property function. This role encompasses strategic planning, development, and management of the Council's non-housing property portfolios (operational, leisure & heritage, community and commercial assets).
