We are looking for someone to join the Senior Leadership Team who will bring experience from their past successes and provide inspirational strategic leadership and direction to the fundraising and communications functions in support of our 5-year vision and charitable mission and objectives.
You will have a strong, successful track record of fundraising and/or other forms of income generating in the charity sector, including management, with proven experience in meeting financial and non-financial targets. You should be able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, corporate, major donors and other individuals. In addition, you should have a strong knowledge of marketing and communications principles and practice, digital marketing, and social media, and be confident in engaging audience sensitively with real-life stories to demonstrate impact and create a compelling case for support.

FSW is based in Brighton and covers the whole of Sussex. For the first month the successful candidate would work from the central office but ultimately the role is hybrid with an expectation that while the Director will be in the office for at least two days a week, the remaining time can be worked remotely if desired.

The role:
This role offers the chance to work with a global NGO, providing valuable experience in tackling key global development challenges, along with hands-on involvement with project and partnership management systems, grant tracking processes, and an opportunity to contribute to the development of impactful programmes. It provides exposure to the operations of an International NGO, invested in community-led holistic solutions to some of the most pressing problems of our times. You would enhance your knowledge and experience of the charity sector funding landscape in the UK and internationally. Person specification:
You would research potential funding partners, write grant applications, and manage successful partnerships, including trusts, foundations, corporate groups, and statutory sources. Some charity-sector fundraising experience is desirable.. The ability to draft inspiring narratives for different audiences, as well as creating programme budgets using spreadsheets are crucial aspects to this role.. You would research and attend relevant events and identify other such opportunities to promote Pragya’s work, to network, and to learn about the latest research and trends in international development. You would contribute to Pragya’s social media posts, campaigns, and the charity’s administrative needs. A basic lf knowledge of video editing and media tools like Canva would be an advantage.
The UK branch of Pragya is a small team; the ideal candidate would be a self-starter, capable of managing their own work load. The role will be the first point of contact with employees and third-party providers. They will provide advice and support on a number of people and culture systems, processes, IT and travel. The role will also focus on office management of the UK Head Office, this includes office maintenance issues, Health & Safety Compliance matters and other relevant areas requiring support as required. Liaising with our IT support team on maintenance of laptops and setting them up for new staff. Be the point of contact for staff office resources, supplies and equipment requirements.
Has excellent communication skills, including written and verbal to engage with employees and third-party providers. Is proficient in using HRIS software to manage employee data and produce reports. We are looking for someone to join the team who has the ability to identify issues and problem solve, be creative and can build and manage successful relationships with a variety of stakeholders. Previous charity sector experience and someone who can speak German (both verbal and written) is desirable.

What the job involves
This is a unique chance to play a pivotal role in driving impactful external communication strategies that support Individual Giving and Events and Community Fundraising. As a key player in the Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team, you’ll enable the integration of mass fundraising activities into wider organisational communications, inspiring action to fund life-saving initiatives that help men navigate prostate cancer.
Supporting the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand in embedding and developing our Business Partnering model. A major part of the role will be enabling the integration of Mass Fundraising activity into the wider communications plan to enhance results from our communications.

You will take responsibility for programme budget management, evaluation as well as for setting and monitoring KPIs. You will engage with teachers to grow our audience and ensure they are involved in developing our education programme too. You will also collaborate with colleagues to develop tools and training as well as devise a schools programme that connects schools with WWF and develops young people’s knowledge and skills.
We’re looking for someone with:
• Experience of developing and delivering effective education programmes, preferably with professional development partners.
• An understanding of relevant pedagogical approaches and evaluation methodologies.
• Experience of a range of mobilisation, engagement & communication approaches (from PR & social media) to hands-on real-life experiences.
• An understanding of monitoring and evaluating programmes.
• Ability to manage budgets, commission research & lead a matrix team to deliver against objectives.
• Strong communication, interpersonal & project management skills.
• Ability to build long term relationships.

About the Role
You will be joining at an exciting time for Ataxia UK as we enter our 60th anniversary year.
Responsible for the communications officer as well as a range of external suppliers, you will lead the day-to-day communications function as a key member of the Fundraising & Communications department. Working closely with the new Director of Fundraising & Communications, you will have the opportunity to help shape Ataxia UK’s new communications and brand strategy. You will work closely with the Director and Managers from the Fundraising team to engage and cultivate our network of Friends and volunteers, celebrity ambassadors, donors and fundraisers through dynamic marketing and communications assets and materials.
Ataxia UK operates a hybrid- working policy, with full time staff working 5 days a week expected to work from our offices in Highgate a minimum of 2 days a week. This is adjusted to 1 day per week for part time.
About you
You will be a creative and dedicated communications professional looking for a new challenge and excited by the opportunity to help shape our new strategy. You will be someone who thrives in a project-management environment, as comfortable learning as you are leading, and able to work both independently and closely with colleagues and external suppliers.

The post holder will work to help Migrant Voice strengthen its strategic approach to measuring impact and learning. The postholder will lead on designing, developing and implementing Monitoring, evaluation and learning strategies and systems. The postholder will work with the team to demonstrate that our activities are implemented effectively and that lessons learned are used to strengthen our work.
The Impact and Learning Officer will build the capacity of the staff team for more streamlined Monitoring Evaluation and learning processes, and more effective reporting. The post holder will ensure better capturing of impact to input into our strategic planning, for fundraising and for increased sustainability.

As a charity we are embarking on a new phase of growth with programmes that focus on building school infrastructure, enhancing resources, developing WASH programmes and developing new sustainable livelihoods programmes in rural Tanzania.
Duties:
Trusts and Foundations ( up to £10,000 donations)
● Research new trusts and foundations for donor opportunities
● Develop and manage a pipeline of funders
● Write, submit and follow up on applications

Individual Donors
● Steward individual donors to promote value for Mikuyu Tanzania

Skills Required
