As Project Support Officer you will support the Central Area Manager and East Midlands Regional Manager with volunteer recruitment, training and retention. This support could range from developing relationships with our food suppliers, researching local organisations to support with guest outreach, and recruiting new Project Leaders for the region.
You will be an excellent communicator, with great organisational and admin skills, and a passion for food and cooking. You will need to live locally and be able to travel to projects across East Midlands. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is therefore essential for this exciting role.

Fundraising Supporter Development Coordinator
About the role
CUF equips people and churches to build just and flourishing communities where they live, so everyone across England can access support when they need it most.
Our fundraising team is a valued part of this, and as our supporter development coordinator, you will coordinate campaigns, direct marketing appeals and other supporter communications, using fundraising best practice, to maximise Church Urban Fund’s income for all components of individual and church giving. Job Description

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Manager for Growing Well's site at Tebay Services (Northbound) in the Eden Valley, on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
The role of the Manager (Tebay) is to:
- Manage the day-to-day operations at Growing Well’s 1.5-acre Tebay site and ensure that at all times our site is safe, productive, excellently maintained and efficiently run. This includes:
- Safe and efficient service delivery
- Effective delivery of annual crop plan and supply chain management
- Financial management of the Tebay enterprise
- Legal and Health and Safety management of the site
- Manage the delivery of therapeutic activity, skills development and support for up to 100 Volunteers (beneficiaries) per week.

Summary of key duties:
Executive Assistance:
· Schedule, organise and minute meetings as required for Leadership Team members, ensuring all necessary arrangements are considered.

Use of Overton House:
· Establish, and keep under review, the policy and process for the booking of spaces at Overton House to external users.
· Oversee bookings by partner organisations, ensuring all appropriate agreements and guidance are in place for external users and that bookings and visitors are well managed.
· Liaise with the Marketing & Communications Team to ensure that appropriate communications about available space and booking processes are in place.
· Oversee the receiving of external visitors to Overton House, ensuring a welcoming and accessible environment for all.

About the role
An opportunity has arisen to join our policy, evidence and influencing team, working to deliver change for people affected by breast cancer. In this role you’ll use insight from patients and healthcare professionals, data and research to develop evidence-based policy positions and recommendations. You’ll work with colleagues across public affairs, campaigns, regional and devolved teams develop and deliver influencing strategies and build strong relationships with key external stakeholders. You’ll also act as a source of expertise across the organisation and externally on key policy areas and the wider policy environment.
About you
With experience of working in relevant policy roles to deliver significant change, you’ll be skilled in developing credible, evidence-based policy positions and be able to think strategically. You’ll have excellent communication skills and experience of building relationships with, and influencing, key stakeholders. The programme Manager (maternity cover) will play an important role in supporting the implementation of Good Neighbours UK (GNUK)’s strategy and ensuring that projects led by GNUK and implemented by field countries are managed effectively and efficiently. They will also play in important role in designing new projects.
Excellent writing and verbal communications skills are critical for this role. Key to its success is the ability to develop and maintain good relationships with funders, partner organisations and other Good Neighbors alliance members.
This is a full-time fixed term maternity cover role for 8 months starting in January 2025. We will consider applications from individuals interested in a freelance contract.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Project management
• Support GNUK’s fundraising team to prepare funding proposals for UK and overseas projects.
o Undertake field/needs assessments for projects.
o Ensure programmes and finance teams in implementing partners are working together to develop budgets and logframes in a timely manner for funding proposals and advise on multi-project cost effective strategies to cover country budgets.
o Manage due diligence and MoUs with implementing partners
• Manage the implementation and monitoring of overseas projects ensuring project activity plans and risk registers are in place, monitor activity progress, review field country financial and narrative reports, and track key milestone information.
• Ensure compliance with internal finance, accounting, procurement policies and procedures.
• Support and build the capacity building of field country grants and programmes staff in all aspects of project cycle management.
• Liaise with external organisations (NGOs, community groups, researchers and consultants) to deliver GNUK’s projects.
• Monitor project budgets and expenditure.
• Prepare periodic narrative and financial reports for GNUK and donors.
• Undertake periodic field visits for purpose of monitoring projects.
• Ensure project exit plans are in place and closure of projects in keeping with donors contracts.
Programme development:
• Contribute to the development of GNUK’s mid to long term strategy, 3-year business plan and annual work plans.
• Participate in GNUK’s annual budget development process.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of GNUK’s programme activities.
• Keep up to date on external changes to the economic, social and political context in the UK that could impact GNUK’s work.
• Support the organisational risk management process.
• Support the rollout of GNUK’s marketing/communications strategy.
• Liaise with GPC on project implementation and programming requests
• Prepare periodic reports for GPC and donors.
Safeguarding
• Ensure the role of Safeguarding focal point for GNUK
• Prepare GNUK’s annual safeguarding reports
• Support GN field countries and GNUK partners to develop and put in place safeguarding policies and procedures.
• Oversee the adoption and application of GNUK’s safeguarding policy in projects.
• Promote and adhere to all GNUK’s policies, procedures.

The Trusts & Foundations Lead will support increasing income from corporates trusts & foundations in line with the Fundraising Strategy and the Strategic Plans of the Epilepsy Society. The postholder will be fully supported in raising funds from corporates, grant- making trusts and foundations, company foundations, public sector funders and lottery bodies. A key aspect of the role will be establishing and maintaining positive relationships with smaller funders (£10k-£100k), ensuring all obligations under grant agreements are fulfilled in a timely manner.
The postholder will report to the Partnerships Manager in the new Development team within the Fundraising and Marketing team. With support from the Partnerships Manager, the postholder will liaise with healthcare professionals such as clinicians, researchers, and other key stakeholders to develop compelling requests for support and funding.
