The purpose of your role

We’re looking for a Recruitment Officer to join our award-winning team to deliver our recruitment process and enable us to achieve our ambitious mission.

You will be responsible for recruiting and supporting a large pipeline of candidates across our three core programmes. This is a fast-paced and varied role that will involve working closely with candidates alongside various internal and external stakeholders to ensure we meet our targets. You’ll act as the go-to person for candidates throughout their application journey, delivering an excellent candidate experience and supporting them throughout each stage of the recruitment and onboarding process until they start on our programme. You will also act as the dedicated recruitment link to a number of our partner forces, working collaboratively with force HR and Talent Acquisition teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

Alongside operational delivery, you will work closely with the Recruitment Leads, Recruitment Manager and Head of Recruitment on future evolutions to the recruitment process to ensure we remain market-leading in our approach. This includes designing content, piloting new approaches and using data and evaluation to inform future developments and improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Work collaboratively within our Recruitment sub-team of eight, contributing to a high-performance culture and ensuring a high-quality candidate experience.
• Be the face of Police Now for our candidates, maintaining an exceptional standard of candidate care throughout the end-to-end recruitment process. You will build relationships with them, engaging and supporting them through each stage with regular quality communication, persuasive techniques and relationship management skills.
• Develop and deliver recruitment pipeline interventions such as pre-assessment centre phone-calls, un-submitted application calls, group coaching sessions and other tailored communications, so that candidates are fully prepared for each stage of the application and selection process.
• Oversee progress towards specific candidate pipeline targets, flagging areas of concern with a focus on under-represented groups and escalating and implementing actions as required in order to exceed target expectations.
• Act as the main point of contact for successful candidates throughout their lengthy onboarding journey, ensuring they remain engaged and enthusiastic about joining Police Now’s programme and resolving any barriers they may face.
• Work closely with a number of our partner police forces, being the main point of contact for in-house force HR and Recruitment teams. You will collaborate to build strong relationships to ensure every single candidate progresses quickly and smoothly through the post offer processes, including vetting, medical, fitness, as well as referencing and degree checking.
• Support and lead on specific recruitment projects related to process improvement, content design and candidate journey evolution. This will involve working on developments to our internal functions and processes, onboarding strategy and force implementation strategy.
• Conduct ongoing analysis as well as end of campaign evaluations of parts of the recruitment and onboarding process and communicate outputs to relevant stakeholders.
• Maintain oversight and updates of candidate progress through each stage of recruitment and onboarding via our applicant tracking systems, taking care to ensure accuracy.
• Support with the planning and delivery of Police Now and force events, such as regular virtual drop-in sessions, the Police Now induction event and force induction events.
• Work closely with the Recruitment management team to identify areas of need and focus for that week, splitting your time across multiple teams/people, as needed.
• Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders that support the recruitment process, such as Police Now’s Force Partnerships Team and our external suppliers.
• Ad hoc duties to support our busy team, including, attending events and supporting with onboarding processes.

Key requirements

• Motivation and passion for the Police Now mission, values, and working within the policing sector.
• Proven recruitment experience, preferably in a high-volume graduate environment or experience working in police recruitment services.
• Proven background in proactively managing high-volume candidate pipelines in a tailored and strategic way and using pipeline insights to improve candidate outcomes and progress to targets. Ability to demonstrate where you have delivered a high standard of candidate care.
• Have diversity and inclusion at the heart of all you do, contributing to the ideas and delivery of our strategy to hire outstanding and diverse individuals.
• High level of planning and organising ability, with confidence managing multiple activities and deadlines, strong project management skills and good judgement and decision making to consider conflicting priorities. Ability to work at speed whilst ensuring attention to detail.
• A strategic mindset and the ability to manage change, ambiguity, and high levels of complexity.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to confidently persuade, communicate and build relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders and target audiences.
• A strong team player, able to build relationships with a large team to understand priorities and flex working style appropriately; whilst also having the ability to work well independently, recognising when to act with autonomy and when to escalate.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook and ability to develop knowledge and proficiency of Police Now’s applicant tracking system.
• There will be a requirement for set days to be worked within the office (approximately 2-3 days per week), or stated venues, to support with the running and delivery of events, as well as infrequent travel nationwide.

Additional Information

Role Summary 
The main function of the Careers Coordinator role is to develop, support and deliver Into Film’s Screen Careers Programme. The post holder will work closely with the Careers Lead, Industry Partnerships Lead and other members of Into Film staff who conceive, create and deliver our Screen Careers Programme. 

Alongside internal teams including Marcomms, the Careers Coordinator will develop content that supports careers professionals, teachers, young people and their parents, ensuring they can access what they need to become aware of the breadth of screen careers and how children and young people might go about entering these industries. 

The Careers Coordinator will manage various deliverables across the programme including but not limited to work experience pilots directly with young people, development of resources and training for careers professionals, and speaking slots at careers conferences UK-wide. The role will have a focus on reaching those young people who are underserved and under-represented. 

Main Responsibilities:

• As directed by the Careers Lead, support the implementation of the Screen Careers Programme Plan through colleagues, partners and supporters.
• Project manage the work experience deliverable alongside the local Activation Coordinators.
• Assist the Careers Lead and UK-wide activation team to plan and deliver Screen Careers events.
• Support the Learning Content Creation team with the development of Screen Careers resources, training and courses.
• Support the Careers Lead and Industry Partnerships Lead to manage stakeholders and industry partner relationships utilising our Customer Relationship Management tool, Salesforce.
• Generate ideas and organise existing content for the Get Into Film social media channels and young people hub on the Into Film website.
• Monitor content about careers on our resources, training programme and website to ensure that it's up to date and remains relevant.
• Monitor and evaluate the programme utilising internal and external feedback to help shape future Screen Careers annual programme plans.
• Contribute to quarterly reports to funders and the Into Film board.

Person Specification:
Minimum Requirements:

• Experience, knowledge and understanding of the careers education, information, advice and guidance landscape for 11–18-year-olds across the UK.
• At least one year's experience working in careers, education or the screen industries.
• Understanding and experience of what careers professionals and educators need to be able to support young people to explore the breath of opportunities in the screen industries, particularly those currently underrepresented in the industry.
• Experience, knowledge and understanding of the screen industries across the UK.
• Organisational project management skills, strong communication style and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
• Strong collaborative skills working across multiple teams and disciplines.
• Strong evaluation and reporting skills. 
• Experience of event management and high-profile engagement.
• Knowledge of fundraising and how Into Film’s careers work could feed into successful applications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office. 
• A love and knowledge of film.

The Grants and Programmes Associates will support the delivery of a portfolio of work within the Grants and Programmes function at Battersea. Each Associate will be assigned to a specific portfolio, either Greece, South Africa, Sri Lanka or Special Programmes. The Associate will work closely with and report to a Grants & Programmes Manager who leads the portfolio. This is an exciting time for Battersea as we expand our work to impact more dogs and cats. 

Over the coming five years, it is planned that the size and complexity of grant making will grow, including the establishment of several multi-year programmes in the UK and abroad. 

This is a grants management role within the Grants and Programmes team in the Global Programmes Directorate, requiring excellent experience of relationship, grant and project management. The successful postholder should be comfortable working as a team, with considerable scope, and complexity and nurturing relationships with colleagues across the organisation as an integral element of the role. The Associate would support a portfolio led by a Manager who would also be their line manager.

? Collaborate with the Fundraising HoDs to proactively identify and prioritise business plans to deliver the charities FundComm Strategy. The role holder will use financial insight and consulting skills to support and challenge the fundraising business teams to deliver the optimum solution.

? Lead the communication and coordination of the FundComm team's forecast and budget processes to deliver accurate, complete and timely submissions aligned to the organisational calendar.

? Provide workshops to aid Fundraising teams understanding of how to complete the Forecast and Budgeting templates.

? Review and analyse the plans, budgets and forecast for the FundComm teams and highlight any issues for resolution.

? Work in collaboration with the Director of Fundraising and Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to produce the consolidated multi -year FundComm budgets and forecast that support the charities planning process.

? Act as critical friend to Director of Fundraising by guiding analysis to make data -driven marketing decisions, that improve ROI and aligning marketing strategy to organisations overall strategy.

? Guide Director of Fundraising's decisions with clear business intelligence from both within and outside Brooke.

? Work with relevant FundComm HoDs with financial modelling of their data to deliver long -term income results.

Duties and Responsibilites 

Content development:

• Work with the Information and Content Manager to research, write, edit and produce new information materials including print publications, web pages, videos, etc.
• Work in line with Sarcoma UK’s information production process, including:
  • Liaise with clinical experts and patient reviewers throughout the content development process
  • Maintain formal systems within the information production process in line with the PIF tick quality mark
• Ensure all new content meets clinical standards, brand guidelines, plain English principles, and accessibility requirements.

Content updates & maintenance: 

• Continuously review and update existing print and digital information resources to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain a structured review schedule to keep materials current as per the PIF quality mark.
• Manage a comprehensive database to track all information resources and versions.

Content promotion & distribution:

• Work with colleagues to create promotional content for Sarcoma UK's information resources across multiple channels.
• Utilise social media platforms to extend reach and engagement with target audiences.

• Collaborate with internal communications and digital teams on content publishing and marketing.

Administration & reporting:

• Collect metrics and provide regular reports on content performance, user engagement and feedback.
• Assist in developing evaluation methods to assess impact of information resources.

General:

• To support new work within the information team.
• Work closely with healthcare professionals, people affected by sarcoma, and staff members.
• To attend Sarcoma UK events and take part in Sarcoma UK’s wider work.
• To travel occasionally to meetings and events. Occasional weekend or evening work may also be required and time off in lieu will be given.

The Health Information Writer and Coordinator post is a key role within our health information team. You will produce online and printed information following our health information process, accredited by the Patient Information Forum (PIF) Tick scheme. The emphasis is on co-creation, working with people affected by blood cancer to ensure our information meets the needs of our community. You’ll collaborate with medical experts to make sure the information is accurate, clear and trustworthy.

You will also take on key administrative tasks to ensure our information gets to the people who need it, including stock checking, managing reprints and monitoring the reach of our publications.

You’ll produce online and printed information following our health information process, accredited by the Patient Information Forum (PIF) Tick scheme. The emphasis is on co-creation, working with people affected by blood cancer to ensure our information meets the needs of our community. 

Expected travel for this role is approximately travel to the office up to 3 times per quarter, plus two Directorate Away Days and two All-staff Away Days per year.
