Head of Marketing and Engagement
We're seeking a Head of Marketing & Engagement to join the team in a strategic leadership role.
This role would be ideal for an existing senior Marketing professional looking for a new challenge or looking to progress their career.
Position: Head of Marketing & Engagement
Location: Gloucester/hybrid (minimum of 3 days in the office per week)
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £32,000 - £38,000
Contract: Permanent
Reports directly to: CEO

The Role
As a Gloucestershire-based charity, the team are deeply committed to the local community, with youth voice at the heart of everything. You will lead a busy marketing team, develop and implement marketing strategies that advance the charity's mission, increase awareness of approach and impact, and build engagement with current and potential partners, other organisations and young people.
This role requires both strategic vision and practical implementation skills. You will need to design comprehensive marketing strategies while also being hands-on enough to ensure these are delivered effectively.
Working closely with the whole organisation, you'll shape how it communicates with diverse stakeholder groups, from funders and partners to young people and community members, while ensuring each interaction reflects the core values.
Your expertise in marketing and stakeholder engagement will be instrumental in growing reach and deepening impact, particularly in local communities.
About You

Job Purpose: Assist in delivering and evaluating campaigns and activities that lead to the effective positioning and promotion of the Good Business Charter via its internal and external communications channels.
Location: Based from home with the expectation of at least quarterly in-person team meetings in York.
Employment: 2-3 days (to be discussed upon interview)

JOB DESCRIPTION
- Support the development and delivery of marketing and communications campaigns, helping to promote GBC’s message externally and with accredited organisations.
- Assist in coordinating internal and external communications, ensuring consistency in messaging across all channels.
- Help create, edit and proofread engaging content for GBC’s communications channels, including social media, newsletters and the website.
- Assist with the design of digital assets for social media, website and newsletters.
- Maintain and schedule content for GBC’s social media presence, supporting efforts to increase brand awareness.
- Support the team with monthly newsletters and other communications to accredited organisations.
- Work alongside the Marketing and Communications Manager and wider team to help deliver GBC’s communications strategy, supporting key projects and campaigns.
- Track and report on marketing performance metrics to assess the success of different strategies.
- Support outreach efforts by making phone calls to accredited organisations and stakeholders as needed with regard to use of the GBC logo.
- Supporting the wider team with administrative tasks as needed, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
- Some experience in marketing and communications, with an understanding of strategic approaches.
- Creative and proactive communicator with a passion for ethical business practices.
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality content.
- Experience using digital communication channels, including social media.
- Good eye for design and an understanding of how to tailor messaging for different audiences across multiple platforms.

About The Role
As an Early Careers Assistant, you'll play a vital role in promoting and developing WWT’s Early Careers programme. You’ll work closely with the Early Careers Development Officer to help deliver inspiring career opportunities across WWT. Your efforts will directly contribute to opening doors for young people in the conservation sector and support our Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging policy by breaking down barriers to recruitment and helping us create a more diverse and inclusive workforce.

Additional Information:
This role is a fixed-term contract until 31st December 2026, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The outcomes of this project will not only shape WWT but will also be shared across the wider sector and the Heritage Innovation Fund.
This is a part time role, working 15 hours a week (regular working pattern to be agreed). The role can be based at any WWT site with hybrid working opportunities. Travel to other WWT sites and partner organisations will be required.

Senior Legacy & In Memory Manager
Salary- £44,761 – £49,685
Remote/Home based with 1-2 in person meetings a month (travel paid for)
We are partnering with Help for Heroes in their search for a Senior Legacy & In Memory Manager. As the Senior Legacy & In Memory Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of the legacy and in memory strategies, contributing over 50% of the organisation’s fundraised income. You will oversee multi-channel campaigns, manage the legacy administration function, and ensure timely and effective reporting. Your leadership will drive sustained growth and maximise income sources, enabling them to deliver more services to veterans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement legacy and in memory marketing strategies.

We are recruiting for a part time temporary Digital fundraising assistant for an inspiring medical research charity This role will be responsible for the project management, marketing and delivery of a wide range of virtual events for the charity in order to grow the fundraising income.

The Role
Support the Digital Fundraising team with the execution of our Digital fundraising programme.
Provide support to the Digital Fundraising Officers in the stewardship of our digital event participants.
Carry out market research on other virtual fundraising communities in the sector, sharing and applying learning to your work at the charity helping to ensure it remains a leader in this space
Maintain high standards of data capture by using external databases to record and edit registration and fundraising data, ensuring it is correct and reported into the main CRM in a timely manner, in accordance with the teams and external stakeholders requirements.
Moderate the virtual challenge social media groups, creating safe spaces, drafting, and scheduling inspirational and useful content, engaging with posts, responding to queries, and providing first-class supporter care.
Act as a main point of contact across all communication channels for supporters taking part in virtual fundraising activities. Manage multiple inboxes daily (including Outlook, Messenger, Facebook, and Twitter) and respond to challenge and fundraising queries, signpost to Bereavement Support and provide other administrative support as required.
Support with the fulfilment of participant fundraising and thank you packs, ensuring order amendments are communicated and actioned.
Support organisations, groups and individuals fundraising online and ensure they abide by appropriate terms and conditions.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead MOVE Against Cancer in its next phase of growth, ensuring that our programmes continue to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those living with and beyond cancer. CEO - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Income Generation & Financial Responsibility
Lead the development and execution of MOVE Against Cancer’s income generation strategy across a diverse range of funders, including trusts and foundations, business partnerships, individual and community fundraising. Create and manage a realistic, achievable annual budget, ensuring that all financial performance aligns with organisational goals. Monitor and report on the organisation’s financial performance, providing regular, accurate updates to the Trustees. Develop relationships with current and potential funders, reporting back on the impact of their donations and securing further financial support. Identify new opportunities to diversify and maximise income streams to support organisational growth, ensuring that the charity can meet its long-term goals. Oversee compliance with fundraising regulations, ensuring that all fundraising activities adhere to legal and ethical standards. Ensure monthly financial reporting and performance tracking, reviewing risks, and taking corrective actions as necessary.
Strategy
Lead the sustainable growth of MOVE Against Cancer, ensuring that the organisation adapts to the evolving landscape of cancer support and related sectors. Work with the Board to regularly review and refine the organisation’s strategy, ensuring it remains responsive to external changes and opportunities.
HR, Compliance & Infrastructure Management
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, regulatory, and policy requirements, including health and safety, Charity Commission guidance, safeguarding, and fundraising regulations. Oversee data protection policies, ensuring that MOVE Against Cancer meets all General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and data privacy laws. Develop and review organisational policies and procedures at appropriate intervals to ensure best practices and compliance with regulations. Establish a continuous improvement framework, gathering feedback and data to guide the organisation’s strategic direction and operational excellence. Coordinate with senior leadership to ensure that all services meet or exceed the expectations of funders, partners, and beneficiaries.

Qualifications & Experience
Significant experience in growing and leading a charitable (or similar) organisation, with a proven track record of success in expanding reach and impact. Previous experience leading a charitable (or similar) organisation, including strategic planning, governance, and financial management. Demonstrated experience in leading and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including managing major donor relationships, grants, corporate partnerships, and community fundraising campaigns. In-depth knowledge and experience of cancer support services and the challenges faced by people living with and beyond cancer, including their families. Strong track record of working collaboratively with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders to achieve shared goals. Excellent communication, public speaking, and relationshipbuilding skills, with the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders including funders, healthcare professionals, and the public.
