Key responsibilities include:

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets
• Respond to media inquiries and coordinate interviews
• Proactively pitch stories to secure media coverage for the organisation and its member companies
• Write and edit press releases, news stories and blogs
• Work closely with digital, content and events teams to develop engaging content for various channels
• Identify and build relationships with thought leaders, influencers to drive engagement and impact within the sector
• Work closely with the CEO to develop crisis communications and respond to any issues promptly

Key skills include:

• Ability to grasp complex issues and distil these for a variety of external audiences
• Experience or interest in working with journalists and media outlets
• Understanding of utilising CMS for editing/uploading content

Woodgreen Pets Charity – home of Channel 4’s ‘The Dog House’ – helps pets and their people every step of the pet ownership journey. As well as caring for vulnerable pets and finding them new homes, we offer expert advice and hands-on support to both first-time owners in need of a guiding hand, and experienced owners facing new or unexpected challenges.

We’re on the hunt for an experienced internal communications superstar, to join Woodgreen’s Marketing and Brand team. We’re a friendly and welcoming bunch, who support each other so we can deliver our very best work that we’re proud to shout about. This exciting new role will be a key member of the Communications team within Marketing and Brand, with the opportunity for the successful candidate to make it their own. 

You’ll be responsible for creating, planning, delivering and evaluating all internal communications across the charity. We’ve got some big projects in the pipeline, including marking our 100th anniversary later this year, so the ideal person will be able to hit the ground running in planning ways to engage and inform all staff and volunteers. 

This role involves developing, implementing and embedding an internal communications strategy, so you’ll be well versed in knowing how to effectively deliver the right information, to the right people, at the right time. 

As building relationships with colleagues is an essential part of the job, we’re looking for someone who can come to our stunning 43-acre site in the heart of the Cambridgeshire countryside at least twice a week. 

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Creation and delivery of day-to-day internal communications which drives engagement 
• Development and delivery of clear, consistent messages that align with Woodgreen’s mission, values and goals
• Creation and embedding an effective internal communications channel strategy
• Provision of internal communications advice and support to colleagues at all levels
• Production of a range of engaging content and materials for email, the intranet, Town Halls and Workplace, and management and oversight of Woodgreen’s internal channels

Your experience will include;

• A professional qualification in internal communications, or equivalent professional experience.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills (oral, written, presentation).
• Significant experience of working closely with senior leaders.
• Significant experience in delivering internal communications in a mid-to-large organisation.
• Significant experience of organising projects and campaigns, and and using a range of communications channels and methods to reach diverse audiences.
• The ability to prioritise and manage own workload effectively, working independently with minimal supervision.

This is a part-time position working 30 hours a week.  The starting salary for this position will be £34,730 to £42,446 pro rata per annum, depending on experience.  Working patterns can be arranged to suit you.  This will be complemented by;

• 36 days annual leave pro rata per year (inclusive of bank holidays) rising by one day each year to 40 days pro rata per annum after five years

The role:

Reporting to the Director of Communication, this role will work closely with the immediate team and effectively across the business and will be responsible for devising and executing impactful internal communication and behaviour change campaigns, in support of key change and inclusion programmes at the Arts Council.

Situated in the Advocacy and Communication team, this new role will collaborate closely with two other groups of internal stakeholders made up of colleagues from across the organisation. One group leads on Transformation programmes for the Arts Council – ensuring they are developing as an organisation fit for the future, from seizing digital opportunities to driving efficiencies; the other group leads on equality, diversity and inclusion work, specifically around putting the recommendations of the recent Inclusion Review. This role will provide pivotal support for the Arts Council as they continue to evolve as an organisation, by shaping insight-driven audience engagement, managing internally focussed messaging around change programmes, convening staff networks and forums, liaising with various internal stakeholders and proactively utilising the Intranet to galvanize and foster deeper understanding of inclusion and learning across staff teams.

The person:

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of change management and internal communication project delivery, ideally with a large national charity or indeed in a local authority, central government, NHS Trust or Higher Education environment. This person will have led on initiatives, possibly EDI related, but most importantly transformation and change, where internal messaging, mobilising forums and staff engagement has been central to success.

An effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, this person will be confident and proactive with excellent attention to detail and will be highly organised. A natural problem solver, this person will also be confident in the use of all MS Office packages, creative design products and database management.

This is a superb opportunity for someone with the necessary experience, to be part of facilitating real and lasting change in this high profile and established national organisation.
The role is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract with flexible hybrid working (1 or 2 days in the office – remainder from home) based at the offices in Central Manchester.

This role is part of ShareAction’s dynamic communications team, which includes the press office, a brand manager and the digital function. The team works to position ShareAction as a thought leader on responsible investment, including to our investor and policy audiences, and oversees a public engagement strategy to inspire public audiences to take action with us. Working across all our campaigns, from tackling climate change and protecting nature to championing fair treatment of workers and shaping healthier societies, the team creates impactful content to help persuade decision makers in government, companies and financial institutions to act on behalf of people and planet.

Position

We’re looking for a hands-on manager with a strategic mind-set to drive ShareAction’s digital communications function and act as a key advisor to colleagues across the organisation. You will bring a level of technical expertise to the team and organisation, ensuring that we present our content and brand effectively to all our audiences on all digital channels - website, socials, public supporter emails, investor e-newsletter, and a bespoke platform where supporters can register for AGM activism – as well as advising on the production and design of our publications. You'll be an excellent line manager with great organisational skills who can guide the digital team of two to produce high-quality content, including through the development and implementation of a digital strategy.

What you’ll do (key responsibilities)

• Advise colleagues across the organisation on strategic digital communications approach to achieve brand, engagement and influencing goals, including to add reputational pressure and inspire support for corporate campaigns.
• Act as technical expert responsible for owning and implementing the digital strategy to provide effective cross-channel user journeys and increase engagement, including guidance on use of paid social media and advertising.
• Provide empowering and inspiring line-management to support the digital team to deliver high-quality work and to develop their skills, and to ensure efficient processes, smooth workflow and manageable workloads.
• Lead on implementing improvements to website content and functionality, managing the relationship and budget with external web developer and other suppliers.
• Advise colleagues on approach to publications, including providing resources and training to ensure brand alignment. For flagship reports, work with colleagues to develop interactive webpages to showcase the key findings.
• Support the development of key messages that translate complex issues for non-specialist audiences.
• Oversee the digital team’s approach to analytics and provide regular reports on performance that feed into recommendations for the future.
• Help protect ShareAction’s reputation and manage risk through monitoring channels, embedding processes and ensuring outputs are of high quality.
• Keep up with the latest digital trends to help ShareAction stay relevant and innovate.

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the team

• Experience using content management systems and technical knowledge to be able to work with web developers/agencies on bespoke projects and ongoing maintenance.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills, with a flair for breaking down complex issues to produce compelling and accessible content.
• Line management experience.
• Experience managing social media channels and allocating budget for paid/ ad campaigns, especially Linked:In.
• Experience using Adobe including Photoshop and InDesign.
• Experience using Google Analytics and producing internal reports.
• Excellent organisational skills, with ability to project manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing campaigning environment.

Desirable

• Experience managing supporter email lists and databases such as Engaging Network.
• Knowledge of data protection regulations/GDPR.
• Experience producing publications and commissioning freelancers from copy editors to graphic designers.

We are currently formalising our hybrid working policy, however, the full Communications team meets in the office on a monthly basis, and also join quarterly directorate workshops in person. In addition, there are two all-staff mandatory events a year.

The Role 
 
As our Individual Giving Officer, you will help to develop and implement the charity’s individual giving strategy.

Supporting the Individual Giving Manager, you will be the main point of contact and manage the day-to-day relationships with external face-to-face fundraising partners, who represent Yorkshire Cancer Research at private sites (e.g. supermarkets) and by going door-to-door to raise awareness of the work of the charity and encourage individuals to make regular gifts. You will be involved in all aspects of building and maintaining fundraising partner relationships.  

Specifically, you will: 

Support the charity’s face-to-face fundraising activities: 

• Work with the Marketing Team and face-to-face partners to build a range of marketing propositions that create memorable conversations and increase the likelihood of individuals deciding to sign up to give a regular donation. 

• Co-ordinate and facilitate training and engagement activity for new and current face-to-face fundraisers to keep them informed of and inspired by the latest developments at the charity. 

• Ensure face-to-face fundraisers have appropriate collateral and that all equipment and materials are kept up to date and are engaging for potential supporters. 

• Ensure face-to-face fundraisers represent Yorkshire Cancer Research in a way that aligns with the charity’s brand values and key messages. 

Create campaigns, supporter journeys and develop onward stewardship: 

• With the support of the Individual Giving Manager, lead individual giving fundraising campaigns and help to develop new campaign propositions that will attract and retain supporters. 

• Work with the Individual Giving Manager and Supporter Engagement Team to develop and implement supporter journeys from beginning to end for newly acquired regular donors and other key supporter groups, aiming to increase levels of affinity with the charity and encourage life-time commitment.

• In conjunction with the Supporter Engagement Team, regularly review fulfilment communications to all our individual giving supporters, ensuring they are compelling, accurate and fit for purpose. 

Be responsible for data management and reporting: 

• Analyse campaigns and activity, including monthly reviews of key performance indicators, to provide insights and inform future decisions. 

• Use the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database to maintain accurate records, for data segmentation and for income and other KPI reporting purposes to ensure the effective management of all individual giving activities. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To have a degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, or proven experience working in a similar role at a similar level. 

• To have experience of individual giving and/or new donor acquisition within the charity sector or similar customer service experience in another sector. 

• To have experience of campaign management including creating schedules, data management, creating briefing documents, budget management, analysing and reporting on results.

• To have experience of having used insight to inform decision-making. 

• To have experience of working with databases and CRM platforms (e.g. Access or Raiser’s Edge). 

• To have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships. 

• To be happy to work independently and to ask for support where this is needed. Also likes to work with, and support, colleagues as part of a team working towards a common goal.

• To have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to use active listening skills, and write professionally and appropriately for a range of diverse audiences. 

• To have high levels of computer literacy with comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.

About the role

We are now recruiting a knowledgeable and experienced Climate Resilience Programme Manager to continue leading our climate action strategy. The purpose of the role is to bring climate change expertise to grow, strengthen, deepen, and diversify our innovative programme portfolio, continue to minimise the negative environmental impacts of all of our programmes, and deepen our carbon emissions reduction strategy as we continue to expand the reach and impact of our organisation.

You will build strong partnerships by working closely alongside our local partners in programme design, technical knowledge, implementation and monitoring. It is anticipated that the post will include 3-4 overseas trips per annum.

The role affords huge scope for personal development, with the flexibility and autonomy needed to shape this critical area of programming. A particular objective will be to strengthen the M&E across the portfolio and access additional external funding for scaling up our climate resilience programmes.

You should have:

Essential

• Experience in the climate resilience sector and demonstrable knowledge of how to build and manage climate resilience programmes
• Knowledge of humanitarian and/or livelihoods programming, including monitoring, evaluation accountability and learning (MEAL) processes is critical
• Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to work with overseas partners with varying levels of English.
• Strong administrative, research, analysis, numeracy and IT skills.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills with an ability to produce accurate, factual and compelling reports, proposals, and presentations

Desirable

• Demonstrable knowledge of carbon emissions reduction within organisations
• Demonstrable experience in supporting resource mobilisation
• Knowledge of gender theory and inclusion practices
• Experience of working in Nepal, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, or the Philippines

Main Responsibilities

• To be responsible for effective online marketing of the services and projects run by BWW Mind and ensuring that BWW Mind has a strong digital presence in the communities that we serve.
• To increase the reach and impact of BWW Mind’s profile and visibility through influential marketing, communications and PR in Brent, Wandsworth & Westminster.

Specific Responsibilities:

Publicity & Marketing

• Be responsible for regular social media posts relating to BLG Minds services, projects, news and events across all channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube.
• Identify local groups and organisations to align our communications with, ensuring that tagging and appropriate hashtags are used to extend our reach.
• Work closely with the Communications and business development teams to identify and communicate key news items which can be shared online and assist in the production of offline promotional materials where required.
• Support the Business Development & Engagement Officer to promote and communicate fundraising campaigns, events and new areas of focus.
• Be responsible for maintaining the BWW Mind website, creating and updating engaging content (using Wordpress)
• Produce Facebook and Google ads in line with promotional requirements of our services/projects.
• Identify and manage any issues arising on BWW Mind's social media feeds (in consultation with more senior staff as required), particularly where there is a reputational risk.
• Be involved in capturing images and video during events and activities for promotional purposes.
• Ensure that the organisation’s branding is upheld in all aspects of online communications, and that our outputs online comply with National Mind’s brand guidelines.

Communications

• Ensure that queries and comments presented through our social media channels are responded to in a timely way.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation and communicate with staff and volunteers to find out more about services and projects generating news stories.
• Edit information provided by staff and partners to communicate news clearly and effectively through the various online systems.
• Work with partner organisations including local press online contacts to ensure joined up digital communications.
• With other members of the Communications team, plan and organise activities to raise awareness of BWW Mind, tying in with other notable calendar events such as Mental Health Awareness Week.
• Alongside the Communications team, ensure that staff have an awareness of corporate guidelines with regards to use of email, social media and web content.
• Through the induction process, be involved in ensuring that new staff understand the importance of communications and how they can contribute to our organisational outputs.

Monitoring, evaluation and strategic direction

• Using Google analytics and statistical information generated on the back end of the different social media platforms, extract relevant data which identifies key trends and reasons why interaction may have increased or decreased and provide this to the DoBDI monthly, and assist in the production of quarterly reports for dissemination to committees and SMT.
• Work closely with internal staff to gain an understanding of which online approaches are most effective in reaching audiences and gaining buy in.
• Create systems to ensure that as an organisation we can ascertain the impact of our communications and focus our approaches accordingly.
• Contribute to communications and marketing work plans and be involved in developing a marketing and communications strategy.

POSITION SUMMARY

Business Launchpad wishes to hire a highly organised, process-driven individual to oversee operations for its Tooting Works business centre.

As a key member of the Tooting Works team, the Operations Manager oversees the renting of our office units, tenant relations, and building maintenance and management, among other things. The post holder ensures the centre is run to a high standard, including excellent customer service, compliance with all current building and health and safety legislation, a high occupancy level and operation within budget.

The Operations Manager line manages four team members, making up the lettings team and the maintenance team, and works closely with other teams, including marketing, finance and the delivery team for the Business Launchpad charity.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Centre Operations Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business centre, ensuring all facilities are well-maintained and running smoothly, and that the lettings process is compliant and well-managed.
• Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality, including opportunities to digitise procedures and services.
• Manage building improvement and repair projects in collaboration with the maintenance team and the operations director.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and manage risk assessments.
• Identify, anticipate and address problems and opportunities for the business centre in collaboration with senior management.

Customer Service

• Act as a point of contact for tenants, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Foster strong relationships with tenants, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to attract new tenants and retain existing tenants with the goal of maintaining high occupancy levels.

Financial Management

• Ensure tenant arrears are regularly monitored and managed.

Line Management

• Lead, mentor, and manage the lettings and maintenance teams, ensuring high performance and productivity.

• Handle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding of staff members as needed.

Essential Skills / Experience

Colostomy UK is a national charity that offers support and advice to people who have had stoma surgery (ostomates) and those who care about them. We help ostomates to return to sports, hobbies and other activities after surgery, and give them the confidence to return to a full life and take on fresh challenges. About the role:

As the Fundraising Executive you will work to grow income through developing our community engagement, attracting, building and managing relationships with a range of supporters (individual donors and fundraisers, community groups, local businesses, volunteers etc). You will lead on the stewardship of events and challenges, including our annual Step Up campaign, by supporting individuals and groups to raise funds through fundraising activities. This multidisciplinary team currently has 6 direct reports and services include: BuddyUp, Spade gardening service, Mental Health Peer Support service, Connect to Tech digital training, Campaigning and our wide range of peer group activities.  There is a variety of skills and experience which will require someone to We are looking for someone to not just manage these services, but to lead their development and widen our coverage across the borough of Richmond. This will predominantly involve supporting the people involved to be leaders of their own projects, developing/modernising our delivery model, ensuring projects meet targets and quality standards and when required also being involved in supporting direct service delivery.

About the role

We are recruiting a Senior Events Manager to join our Events team on a permanent basis. This Senior Events Manager will strategically advise stakeholders on event format, content and delivery to ensure it maximises not only the project objectives, but wider UCL objectives as a whole. The postholder will not only focus on the logistics of producing top-class events for UCL, but will also be involved in advising on the content and context of the events, to ensure that UCL's story is being told as widely as possible and the impact is as far-reaching as possible.

The Senior Events Manager will effectively resource projects across the team of Event Managers and Event Officers, motivating and empowering to deliver engaging activity, and will also line manage a team. They will proactively support and engage with colleagues across UCL.

VPEE teams work from our Central London office on Tuesday each week, and attend events as needed.

About you

To excel in this role you will need to have extensive experience of creating, organising and managing a variety of successful in-person and virtual events including large events (2,000 plus) as well as bespoke content-led activity, and a thorough knowledge of strategic event planning - not just the logistics - to make sure events are insight-led, meet defined objectives, tell a clear story and can be successfully measured. You'll also be comfortable liaising, negotiating with and influencing senior stakeholders, in presenting ideas and managing complex budgets, operating within a tight budgetary framework.

You are a natural leader, able to motivate, line manage and delegate tasks whilst empowering colleagues to create, innovate and deliver, and create a collaborative working culture. You are organised, have meticulous attention to detail and are a committed team player who is willing to 'muck in', but you are equally able to work independently and support others to do so when required.
