We are looking for an experienced corporate fundraiser to join our Fundraising Team. You will be a compelling and engaging communicator who can work at all levels of the organisation to cultivate and develop the relationships that will enable the Ri to achieve its strategy. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to join our small and dynamic but expanding fundraising and communications team during an exciting period of growth for the organisation. This newly created role will be crucial role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our mission and ensure the financial sustainability of the Charity. It will include identifying new funding opportunities as well as producing several initiatives including building on our grant income success.

Summary of the role:

The Head of Communications is responsible for shaping and delivering the organisation’s communication strategy to establish Muslim Aid as a leading faith-based voice and thought leader in international development, humanitarian programming and positive systemic change. This role involves managing all aspects of internal and external communications, including media relations, digital content, and brand management. The Head of Communications will work closely with the Director of Strategy and Communications to ensure that communication efforts are aligned with the organisation’s strategic goals and effectively engage stakeholders.

About the Role:

 Develop and implement a comprehensive global communication strategy that enhances the organisation’s public image, engages key stakeholders, and supports the achievement of strategic goals. Ensure that the strategy is flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.

Lead the development and monitoring of annual communication plans that outline key initiatives, campaigns, and activities. Ensure that these plans are aligned with the organisation’s strategic priorities, reflect cross-departmental needs and include clear objectives, timelines, and performance metrics.

Provide editorial oversight for all content produced by the communications team, digital or otherwise: including social media posts, website content, newsletters, press releases, and other written materials. Ensure that all content adheres to the organisation’s messaging guidelines and brand standards.

Act as the overall guardian of the Muslim Aid brand and put in place processes and support to ensure it is represented at its best in all external communications.

Ensure that the organisation’s brand reflects and aligns with organisational identity and is consistently applied across all communication channels. Lead efforts to refresh and strengthen the brand as needed to reflect the organisation’s evolving direction.

Steer strategic engagement with the media to ensure accurate reporting on Muslim Aid’s activities, priorities, principles, and approach, as well as to platform Muslim Aid’s strategic direction and goals, and advance the organisation’s thought leadership.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
2. Proven leadership experience in a communications role, preferably within an INGO or similar organisation.
3. Proven experience in developing and executing successful communication strategies, managing media relations, and overseeing digital communications.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong ability to create compelling content for diverse audiences.
5. Proficiency in digital communication tools, social media platforms, and content management systems.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

As Sporting Events Manager, you will: 

• Support the Assistant Head of Events & Community Fundraising to generate income through their Sporting Events programme of walking, running and cycling activities. The income for the events team is c.£3.3m, with expenditure of c.£1.1m.
• Lead on strategy and delivery of PCUK’s flagship walking event, March for Men, which raises c.£450k. You will project manage the event, co-creating and managing the recruitment marketing plan, delivering the supporter journey to drive participant value and working with an external delivery partners
• Work closely with the Black Healthy Equity Team to increase representation across PCUK’s activity portfolio, with a focus on March for Men to ensure it’s a diverse and inclusive event

Summary of role purpose

Senior fundraising and development role at a pioneering, mid-sized climate-change journalism non-profit with a seven-figure budget. Overall responsibility for developing, securing and managing a trusts and foundations pipeline – during an important organisational inflection point -- to help grow a sustainable, financially substantial and long-term income stream for our programmes, core and new activities. Working strategically with senior leadership and staff to maximise existing income sources and identify and evaluate new sources of income, including those beyond philanthropic donations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Research and recommend funding opportunities for current and planned programmes at a dynamic, climate-change charity with a strong track record, team, and culture. Manage and organise initial enquiries, funding applications, follow-ups, and learnings from feedback.

· Draft clear and compellingly written fundraising materials, including cases for support, funding proposals and concept notes.

· Manage / support relationships with funders, including timely appropriate tailored funder reports and other communications.

· Oversee the preparation of bespoke, accurate and clear grant reports, rooted in our measurement, evaluation and learning strategy, along with other fundraising materials 

· Work strategically with the senior management team (SMT) to develop plans to maximise income to achieve annual fundraising targets and, together with the editorial and leadership teams, meet with funders and donors to understand their interests, priorities and present proposals.

· Chair bi-weekly meeting with the SMT to present opportunities and actions and agree on priorities and approaches to donors.

· Collaborate with colleagues, especially in the editorial and operations teams, to gather information on project needs, aims and deliverables; ensure that what is presented to funders is aligned with the delivery side of the organisation.

· Oversee the management of the grants database and ensure it is regularly checked and updated and that leads are followed up.

· Manage internal fundraising processes.

· Build and maintain positive relationships, both with internal stakeholders and funders.

· Assist in relationship and account management for non-philanthropic income streams.

· Assist in delivering events to update existing and attract new funders ensuring appropriate follow-up.

· Assist in crafting presentations to funders, working with broader team to develop film / materials.

About this role:

Reporting to the Deputy CEO, the Communications and Policy Manager will support SIB’s track record of sector, government and media engagement, notably the high standard of publication set through its media partnerships with Tortoise and the Financial Times, its contributions to the policy landscape in the social sector, and its in-house data analysis and insight generation. This new post will contribute to SIB’s ongoing communications and policy work and its reach and influence.

Key responsibilities

1. Support the delivery of a comprehensive plan for our communications and policy activity, combining ongoing promotional communications, specific activities for funds and programmes, and proactively generated content and opportunities to influence

2. Co-ordinating with SIB partners in developing and delivering communication work, on major projects such as the Youth Investment Fund, the Recovery Loan Fund and the Enterprise Development Programme; ensuring that it is powered by data and customer insight of the highest quality

3. Keeping track of policy developments in areas of strategic importance to SIB, notably in social investment, youth, community energy and infrastructure investment. We are looking for a creative social media native who is comfortable not only with presenting UWC to different audiences but also collaborating and supporting our different stakeholders in doing so. You will join the Communications and Engagement Team at the UWC International Office (UWCIO) which consists of six people and report to the Digital Communications Manager.

As a Digital Communications Officer, you will create, develop and deliver content across all UWC International’s social media channels in line with our social media strategy and lead on sourcing or creating the relevant, required reporting to demonstrate engagement and impact. You will also support UWC’s truly global network of volunteers through digital resources, templates and training. In doing so, you will use your digital communications skills for the better, contributing to the success of the movement and supporting young people to access transformational educational opportunities they would otherwise not have dreamt of.

Part of the larger Advancement Team at UWC International, the Communications and Engagement Team provides the UWC movement with strategic leadership, support and advice in the area of internal and external communication, PR, promotion, marketing, crisis communications, alumni and wider community engagement, and partnerships with other organisations. The Team has a coordination and support function for teams across the UWC International Office, as well as other UWC stakeholders globally, such as UWC schools, colleges, national committees and governance bodies. Alongside your business-as-usual tasks, you will support the Digital Communications Manager in coordinating with the advancement and admissions teams at each of the 18 UWC schools to run ad-hoc campaigns and manage external stakeholders and partners.

About the role

We’re looking for a Legacy Marketing Officer to join our Individual Giving and Legacy Team.

It’s an exciting time to join the Legacy Team as we are embarking on a new era for legacy and in memory giving at Young Lives vs Cancer.  In memory giving and gifts in Wills left to us by our supporters are essential to ensuring we can help generations of children and young people who will sadly be living with a cancer diagnosis. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Legacy Marketing Officer to play a pivotal role in supporting the Legacy Marketing Manager to plan, implement and deliver legacy and in-memory strategies.

The Legacy Officer will work on a range of legacy and in-memory campaigns, materials and supporter centric journeys across multiple channels.  As a team we will maximise legacy and in memory giving and acquire new legacy and in memory supporters, as well as nurturing existing supporters who have expressed an interest in leaving a gift in their Will for the future of Young Lives vs Cancer’s work. 

The role will suit a passionate and creative individual who thrives on working collaboratively and who is able to manage end to end projects and supplier relationships.  There will be a need to analyse data to monitor performance as well as identifying trends and opportunities. Fulfilment mapping is also a key element of the role as well as being comfortable presenting in person to colleagues and suppliers.

What will I be doing?

Do you want to be part of an ambitious and high-performing fundraising team that aims to exploit the legacy growth potential in the animal welfare charity sector?

We are looking for a new member to join our legacy and in-memory team, within its Individual Giving department. This role will help to manage and test legacy marketing campaigns with the aim to grow the size of the charity’s legacy Enquirer and Considerer base using various channels such as social media, direct mail and telemarketing. This role will also work on recruiting enquiries about the charity’s Pet Promise scheme and recruit new in-memory and tribute fund supporters. Although the role is strongly weighted to legacy marketing, the post-holder will also manage Woodgreen’s mid-value programme, creating a brilliant opportunity for an existing legacy fundraiser to broaden their professional remit.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, able to deliver campaigns on time and within budget. They will need to make decisions based on sound evidence, and will always demonstrate an attitude to learn-and-adapt campaigns. They will also have strong communication skills, able to champion legacy and mid-value giving, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders.

You will;

• Provide expertise and collaborate with the Senior Donor Development Manager – Engagement and Legacy to develop legacy marketing acquisition and mid-value programme strategies.
• Plan and project manage the annual operational plans, managing direct marketing campaigns from end to end using a mix of offline and online channels, which includes telemarketing, direct mail and social media/PPC to grow the existing legacy pipeline.
• Manage the services of multiple suppliers for the planning, creative, media, print and distribution, producing comprehensive written briefs with verbal discussions to ensure the output meets requirements.
• Build relationships and work closely with internal colleagues across the organisation to leverage ‘piggy-backing opportunities’ as well as helping to champion legacy giving across the charity
• Work with the Database Team to deliver end of campaign results analysis, ensuring reporting data is correct and highlight key observations and recommendations for future activity or further insight requirements.
• Manage a six-figure expenditure budget, allocating budget to channels and products

You will have;

• Experience of planning and managing legacy acquisition campaigns to recruit individual supporters ideally using telemarketing, direct mail and social media/PPC.
• Experience of effective management of multiple key suppliers, ensuring service is to agreed standards
• Experience of effective expenditure budget management
