We’re looking for a dedicated Case Officer to manage casework and provide direct support, advice, and guidance to beneficiaries on a wide range of issues including health, social care, employment, benefits, statutory support, and housing.
In this role, you will assess the needs of beneficiaries and collaborate with regional specialist teams and external service providers to ensure that support is delivered in an integrated and effective way. You will also develop creative, tailored solutions, drawing on contributions from volunteers, our members, and branches to meet beneficiaries' unique needs.
Additionally, you will work closely with the Casework Services Manager and Head of Welfare to identify and address local beneficiary needs, helping shape the commissioning of specialist services. You will advise beneficiaries on available support and assist them in accessing the services they need, while maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of statutory benefits. Building strong connections with local organizations to reach beneficiaries in the community will also be a key part of your work.
The role is primarily homebased with will have regular travel around the London region for internal meetings and visiting beneficiaries, therefore you will need to live in a location that allows reasonable travel around this area.
There will also be occasional travel nationally to attend training / meetings.

Working in partnership with the London Borough of Newham and East London Foundation Trust, IBIS House supports people who are medically fit for discharge from mental health inpatient stays but have other barriers to discharge. These may include housing, living skills, accessing benefits or the community, or other interventions and will be on a person-centered basis. The main aim of the service is to provide short-term support to customers to link with longer-term services to reduce escalations in need and reduce inpatient readmission and reduce pressure on inpatient beds.

What you'll do:
Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers, and creating a positive atmosphere

The total number of working hours is 36 hrs pw. 4hrs per week are allocated to self-study to support the successful completion of your probation and, once enrolled, the Children and Young People’s Practitioner Diploma (Level 4).

We're looking for a polite and friendly individual with a full driving licence and the ability to undertake heavy lifting, to help us maximise sales and profit by collecting and distributing donations for our Preston Furniture Shop and the surrounding areas. Shelter Trading Limited is best known for its national network of charity shops and thriving Christmas card business.
Your key responsibilities
- Collect and deliver donated items, including large furniture and electrical items and assist with the redistribution of stock, fixtures and fittings between branches
- Undertake house clearances and transfer appropriate donated goods to the shop
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate mileage records
- Always maintain a high standard of customer service and strict control of the security of goods collected, transported and delivered.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the children and young people’s team for a passionate and enthusiastic lead worker to be part of shaping and delivering a new early support youth hub pilot within Merry Hill Shopping Centre, Dudley. ROUTES, the youth advice hub, will support people aged 13+ and those who feel they still require a young people’s approach up to 25. It brings together the specialisms of Cranstoun, complimented by wider partnership delivery and a young people’s steering group.
You will have experience of effective behaviour management in an informal setting complimented by knowledge and skills in order to provide advice, guidance and support to young people. You will also be expected to work closely with the service manager and provide daily decision making support and direction to the wider hub team, especially with safeguarding concerns whilst operating the open access.
The role involves creating a welcoming space for young people, utilising youth work and engagement skills to help feelings of safety and inclusivity from the very first interaction.
You will develop creative opportunities to engage with young people and within the space of the hub. There will be an element of promotion and outreach within local schools/colleges and the shopping centre to encourage young people to attend.

The role of Recovery Support Keyworker involves one-to-one and group support with our residents; encouraging and supporting them in all practical aspects of their recovery including objectives and goals, leave and visit planning, behaviour and health, housing and employment matters. You will be a committed Christian, with excellent inter-personal and the ability to implement firm but caring boundaries, plus good administrative abilities, able to complete care planning and risk assessments. We also support people to retain their employment when they are struggling at work due to their mental health. We also advise and support employers about mental health in the workplace. Your challenge? To do everything you can to help the individuals we work with to source appropriate work experience placements with local organisations/employers. Day to day, you’ll offer support, careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation, interview techniques etc. You’ll also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive links with community mental health teams and have the initiative to develop and promote the service. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.
As well as a good understanding of mental health problems and the issues and barriers this can create for our clients, you’ll need excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills and a willingness to travel in the local area and to work outside of office hours as required.
