Acer Trust, an Oxfordshire multi-academy trust, is seeking a Finance Director to lead our fantastic finance team through the next stage of our Trust’s development. In the past year we have added two new schools into the Trust and restructured our finance and business operations to better support our schools. We are now looking for a strategic finance professional to embed our new structure and processes and help us to develop and implement a new financial strategy to support our next phase of development. This exciting and challenging role would suit an experienced Head of Finance or senior Finance Manager aspiring to grow into a Chief Financial Officer role in the future.
The successful candidate will bring together strategic thinking, exceptional people management skills and financial acumen, as well as an appetite for continuous improvement, to help us achieve excellence in our finance function. You will play a critical role in our Trust’s growth and development, ensuring that we remain financially stable and that school leaders and decision-makers have robust information with which to make financial decisions and achieve value for money.
Against a tough financial backdrop for all schools, and with some of our schools experiencing particularly challenging circumstances, you will work collaboratively with Headteachers, Business Managers and the Chief Operations and Finance Officer to embed a culture of financial prudence and facilitate creative solutions to these challenges. This role would suit an experienced finance professional with a strong knowledge of schools or education finance and excellent leadership skills. You will also hold a finance qualification with a relevant body, such as ACCA, AAT, CIMA or CIPFA.

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Financial Accountant to join Cancer Research UK's Financial Reporting team. This role will be leading on financial reporting by ensuring the completion of CRUK's external reporting requirements, specifically focusing on subsidiaries. What will I be doing?
Responsible for producing the statutory annual report and accounts for the CRUK group
Responsible for producing subsidiary and dormant entity statutory accounts
Responsible for producing various financial data for internal and external publications
Work closely with the wider finance team in the production of internal financial reporting
Responsible for reporting Restricted Funds in conjunction with the R&I team
Act as a key point of contact for external and internal auditors
Use your expertise and experience to provide high quality financial accounting support to both finance colleagues and senior management, enabling decision makers to understand the impact of initiatives and decisions
Responsible for assessing the impact of new accounting standards and leading projects to implement them
Proactively partner the wider finance team to become the first point of call when planning significant agreements and transactions. Build their technical knowledge and ensure they understand changes to accounting and regulatory frameworks and the impact on the organisation's financial plan.
This is a 2 FTEs role with a rotation of responsibilities in place every few years.
What skills are you looking for?
Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
Demonstrable history of producing statutory accounts and reporting within a large organisation (ideally within a group environment)
Experience in year-end audits having delivered audited accounts and reports whilst managing relationships with external auditors
Strong technical knowledge with an understanding of accounting standards
Build strong stakeholder relationships with the ability to communicate complex financial information to internal and external stakeholders
Medium/Advanced excel skills and has previously worked with large, complicated data sets and multiple systems (V-look ups, Pivot Tables, Macros)
Experience of using Agresso is desirable but not essential.

The role
We are looking to recruit a fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) FP&A Manager to lead a newly established Business Planning team for the Raspberry Pi Foundation. The Foundation has an annual expenditure of £17m and employs 180 people in the UK, Ireland, India and the USA. We are anticipating further growth in the coming years.
Reporting to the Director of Operations and working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead all aspects of the annual business planning and budgeting cycle and monthly reporting to the Foundation’s management and Trustees. You will partner with the Foundation’s Financial Controller and leadership team to provide insight and help inform decision making. The role will include financial planning, budgeting and analysis, and management accounting. The Badur Foundation is an independent foundation supporting grassroots charities and social enterprises. About you
You will need to be experienced in technical charity finance matters – for example, partial exemption VAT, Gift Aid, reserves reporting, primary purpose trading – and be able to present charity numbers clearly to a range of audiences.

You’ll have great IT skills, especially with Excel, so that you can minimise the time you spend on bookkeeping and administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and monitor the charity's financial budgets and cash flow forecasts in collaboration with the CEO and project leads.

- Manage outsourced bookkeeping, accountancy, and payroll administration, ensuring the accuracy of financial records using Xero.
- Work with the charity's external accountant to prepare statutory annual accounts.

- Ensure financial policies and controls are in place and act on feedback from auditors to improve processes.
- Monitor and update the charity's risk register and ensure compliance with legal, accounting, tax, and charity regulations.
- Fulfil Company Secretary duties, ensuring statutory accounts are filed with Companies House and the Charity Commission on time.
Essential Requirements:
- Recognised accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- Strong accounting experience, including charity statutory accounting and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (ideally Xero), with strong Excel skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrable experience in producing management accounts, interpreting financial data for both expert and non-expert audiences.
- Experience of managing external audits and collaborating with auditors.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritise, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a virtual team, with excellent self-direction and initiative.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of charity governance and compliance requirements.
- An interest in areas such as sustainability, social justice, or rural affairs.
- Experience managing external accountancy service providers.

We’re looking for an experienced project manager interested in the deliberative democracy field to deliver selection and stratification services to clients, to enable randomly selected processes to take place at all levels of government & society. The Role
We are currently looking to recruit a Head of Finance at the Royal Osteoporosis Society. This is a key role within the Finance Team and one that will represent the function by being a member of the charity’s Leadership Team.
In this role you will build on the strong foundations already embedded in the finance function maintaining strong financial controls, embracing new technologies and providing the best possible management information to the wider charity as our income grows.
Working closing with the Director of Finance and IT, you will lead on financial controls, business partnering, forecasting and ensure that all financial information is presented in a useful and timely manner. You will also manage a small team.
