We’re looking for an ambitious fundraiser to join our Philanthropy team, capitalising on recent growth and with the chance to really make your mark. Your role is to engage influential and high-profile individuals and Trusts in the UK, connecting them to the difference they can make to thousands of men facing prostate cancer.
Providing the highest level of stewardship, you’ll ensure existing and new supporters feel valued, inspiring them to make five and six figure gifts, which will significantly improve the lives of men facing prostate cancer and their families. You’ll also harness the support of our enthusiastic and influential Trustees, Senior Volunteers and Leadership Team, involving them in ‘making the ask’, thanking, as well as attending events.

What we want from you
You’ll have a strong team ethic, along with the enthusiasm and willingness to be flexible in achieving targets and outcomes. We are seeking two highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to work with our Partnerships and Communications team. You will support the team to increase income, diversify funding streams, and implement engaging fundraising campaigns and events. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to gain experience and skills across a breadth of fundraising and communications activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on prospective donors, foundations, and corporate supporters and monitoring grant portals to build a pipeline of new funding opportunities
- Gathering and collating informative and engaging content for efficient proposal development
- Supporting in the development of funding proposals to donors, foundations, and corporate supporters
- Supporting with event design and management to engage new donors and steward existing partners
- Supporting with the implementation of a new donor journey process to improve team efficiency and build strong relationships with funders
- Supporting in the development and implementation of a new individual giving strategy to grow this new income stream for PEAS
- Contributing creative ideas for new fundraising opportunities
- Drafting, editing, and proofing content for e-newsletters, blogs, and social media
- Helping to gather and analyse social media metrics to assess the performance of campaigns
- Supporting the creation of visual content for various communications materials using Canva
Skills and Qualifications:
- Interest in non-profit fundraising and development
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Suite
- Design experience or knowledge of using Canva (not essential)

Prostate Cancer UK’s top priority is funding research to stop prostate cancer from killing men. This is your opportunity to join a wonderful team seeking to ensure that every man has the power to navigate prostate cancer.
This role will support the Head of Philanthropy and Head of Appeal with the development and implementation of Prostate Cancer UK’s new major appeal strategy, providing essential support to the Philanthropy Manager with relationship management of larger trusts. As part of the role, you will deliver five and six-figure gifts through securing new support and uplifting existing donors.
To be successful in the role of Senior Philanthropy Executive, you will need:
- Proven experience in philanthropy fundraising, having worked across a few fundraising income streams such as corporate, major donors or trusts
- An extensive portfolio of excellent relationship management with medium to large-sized trusts and major donors
- Strong experience in managing income and expenditure budgets
Salary: £34,000 - £37,000

The Role
Deliver the Philanthropy and Special Events Strategy, in turn securing income from HNWIs.
Assist with the development and delivery of a calendar of cultivation and stewardship events in order to raise awareness of the cause, and help retain existing donors and engage new prospects.
Build, manage and maintain a portfolio of donors from 5,000 gifts upwards, stewarding relationships to ensure donor satisfaction and long-term financial commitment.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues in Fundraising to identify major donor prospects and opportunities to maximise donor experience.
The Candidate
Experience of relationship management and development, including delivery of high quality supporter care.

Main purpose of this role
The Senior Public Affairs and Research Officer will drive policy change to increase surplus food redistribution by engaging with stakeholders across government, media, industry, and academia. They will support FareShare’s public affairs strategy by producing well-researched briefings, organizing impactful events, and fostering relationships with key partners.

FareShare is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 18 independent organisations. Together, we take good quality surplus food from right across the food industry and get it to over 8,000 frontline charities and community groups. The role
The role will sit within FareShare’s public affairs—part of the wider marcomms team—which is responsible for advocating for policies that create an economic and legislative environment that is beneficial for surplus food redistribution. This will help FareShare achieve its long-term goals of redistributing a higher proportion of the UK’s surplus food and benefiting more communities across the UK.
FareShare recently published its manifesto, ‘Where’s The Food? Strengthening Communities Through Surplus Food Redistribution.’ The manifesto sets out a path for government, businesses, and charities to work together to turn an environmental problem into a social good.
The Senior Public Affairs and Research Officer will be critical in advancing FareShare’s policy agenda, as outlined in the manifesto. Working closely with the Public Affairs, Policy and Campaigns Consultant, you will lead efforts to engage influential stakeholders, create compelling content, and coordinate high-impact events. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence national policy and contribute to meaningful change in the food redistribution sector.
Key responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, including government bodies, media, and academia, to advance FareShare’s policy objectives.
Policy, Research, and Briefings: Develop in-depth policy knowledge and produce well-researched briefings and reports articulating FareShare’s policy goals. Identify opportunities for FareShare to feed into Government consultations and Select Committees.
Events: Support the planning and execution of public affairs events, including parliamentary engagements and engagement with industry conferences.
