We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual to join our Fundraising Team as the Community and Events Fundraiser. You will lead, plan, cost and deliver an exciting and varied community fundraising programme to grow income and a strong return on investment. You will need to work closely with the Director of Fundraising to shape the plans and resources required for the future.
The post holder will require a good knowledge of fundraising and considerable energy and enthusiasm that will inspire patients, visitors, hospital staff and the local community to choose Southampton Hospitals Charity as their preferred charity.
Main Responsibilities
Hospital engagement and Community Relationships
- To create and increase awareness of fundraising for Southampton Hospitals Charity across all University Hospital Southampton sites working closely with the Marketing and Communications team
- To foster effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders including consultants, doctors, nurses, care group managers etc
- To ensure visibility of fundraising materials including poster sites and leaflet holders in the hospitals, community etc and ensure they are kept up to date and relevant
- To create a Fundraising Hub out of Unit 2 by driving supporters and stakeholders to the office to build a real sense of community spirit and a hive of fundraising activity
- To be proactive in seeking out new fundraising opportunities, relationships, and networks.
- To develop, support the delivery of and evaluate a strategic supporter journey and stewardship journey across the community fundraising programme focused on generating net return and supporter retention.
- To lead on researching and developing trust and charity networks to acquire new supporters in the communities served by the Trust based on audience insight and analysis
- To build and maintain relationships with supporters through face to face, telephone, email, and written correspondence with the aim of securing financial and “in kind” support.
- To have an insight led approach to our activities, regularly analysing data and gathering supporter feedback.
- To Develop a comprehensive pipeline of fundraising opportunities such as adopted charity of the year for regional shows and events, mayors and golf captains.
- To be the first point of contact for groups and individuals organising community activities to raise money for SHC, motivating and encouraging them to raise as much money as possible
- To proactively research and identify influential individuals in schools and community groups to build and develop relationships and gather support for key campaigns
- To appropriately support all community fundraising activities- Thank and report on how money is spent and provide high levels of supporter relationship management which will result in long term support.

Person Specification:
Knowledge and experience
- Experience of increasing income through successful community, events, corporate or volunteer fundraising programmes or equivalent transferable experience from another sector
- Experience of successful project management including planning and delivering projects within budgets and on time to meet departmental, team and personal objectives and KPIs
- A proven track record of delivering an excellent customer/supporter stewardship experience
- Experience of managing multiple projects and budgets

Endometriosis UK is the leading UK charity supporting those living with endometriosis. The Fundraising Assistant will be a key member of the fundraising team. Supporting the team to deliver a wider range of fundraising activities including events, challenges and campaigns as well as helping maximise the supporter journey and providing excellent donor care. About the role
The newly-created role of Digital Content & Campaigns Manager will sit within the National Communications Team to support the delivery of key charity and federation-wide objectives.

We are looking for a high-calibre candidate to take up a fixed-term role as Centre Leader at our IntoUniversity centre in Kennington. You will have responsibility for running your IntoUniversity centre, including managing your team, planning and delivering the programme, liaising with external stakeholders and meeting IntoUniversity’s targets for delivery. What will my main dutires be?

Turning tides is our exciting new project working with young people aged 18-25 offering one to one coaching in community based settings. The project delivers bespoke support based on a young persons needs and challenges. We are looking to appoint a wellbeing coach based in Whitby . We partner with local organizations and communities to deliver our locally rooted programs. We use evidence to drive learning and the refinement and scale-up of programs to create maximum impact for most children at the lowest cost. Part 1: Role Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to lead improvements in the financial management of Street Child’s partner, Street Child of Liberia (SCoL), a national education and child protection organisation with nationwide presence and annual budget of up to $1m. The role holder will also manage Street Child’s financial reporting and compliance requirements in delivering programmes in Liberia.
The role will report to Street Child’s West Africa Regional Finance Manager, with oversight of Street Child of Liberia’s finance team, and a close working relationship with SCoL SMT, Street Child’s Freetown based Head of Sierra Leone / Liberia Programmes and Monrovia based Programmes Officer.
The role provides financial oversight of programmes in Liberia, facilitating accurate and timely donor reporting, strong budget management and excellent record keeping. Key aspects of this role include: improve financial management and reporting systems; ensure a strong control environment and maintain strong record keeping; empower programmes and leadership teams to have strong financial management and grant management capabilities. The role also serves as a link between Street Child of Liberia and Street Child UK, delivering monthly requisitions, annual budget information and other information as required, with scope to extend support across Street Child’s regional programmes portfolio as required.
Part 2: Key Responsibilities:
1) Ensure robust financial management and reporting systems to facilitate accurate donor reporting, strong budget management and transparency for budgeting (40%)
- Ensure that all staff are using the QuickBooks finance system in place at Street Child of Liberia to provide accurate and timely recording of transactions – providing training, review, support and direct input as needed.
- Ensure that all month end processes are carried out in a timely manner including month end closure processes, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and generating reports
- Providing reliable donor reports, Budget vs Actual reports to the Director and Programmes staff to facilitate good planning and anticipation of any changes needed to programmes delivery.
- Ensure that donor expenditure is recorded accurately and finance reports are of high quality with full supporting transaction listings reconciled to the finance system and delivered to deadlines in accordance donor requirements. Report on all costs incurred both at Street Child of Liberia and Street Child HQ.
- Preparation of all donor reports, working with Partner Finance team and programmes staff as needed to ensure that they are delivered on time and with appropriate sign off.
- Support donor due diligence and donor audits by provision of information required.
- Provide input as necessary for all donor budget proposals, ensuring that costs requested are complete and reasonable seek approval for all donor proposal budgets before they are submitted to donors
- Facilitate the year end audit, over-setting the end to end of the annual audit process.
2) Strengthening the control environment and record keeping (30%)
- Review and assess the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend changes and improvements as required , and review any improvements in internal controls recommended by auditors or donors.
- Work with colleagues to devise a delivery plan to ensure that improvements are met, and support the delivery of that plan.
- Strong financial procedures are in place to accompany all payments and improvements are made to the payments system including in particular justifying the use of cash and advances.
- Ensure appropriate bank & cash management procedures are in place and operating effectively, including bank reconciliations for all accounts, cash counts and cash transfers to field sites.
- Ensure robust procurement processes are in place and being followed, working with the procurement team to make any changes needed and ensure that all staff are clear on the required procurement process.
- Developing Financial management tools, including policies and procedures as required.
- Ensure that monthly requisitions (the process for requesting monthly transfers from HQ) are robust, evidence based and submitted on time each month.
- upcoming up with an annual budget, approved in accordance with SC budget timetable, working with the Senior West Africa Finance Manager to develop consistent templates to use in each template.
- Regularly advise and provide support on other issues as the need arises.
3) Participate in finance related meetings and initiatives for all SCoL programmes, providing budget and financial guidance, including provision of training to colleagues (10%)
- To ensure the smooth-running of the programme with respect to its financial obligations.
- Compliance with the organisational procedures; quality of budget monitoring; quality of the budgets drawn up; quality of financial reports for donors; anticipation of financial problems.
- Provide BVAs every month by the 10th of M+1 of all contracts.
- Plan and lead the BVA analysis meetings every month before the 15th.
- Ensure coherency between the programme budget and the donors' budgets.
- Procedures so as to ensure a realistic budget, accurate expenditure codification and robust budgetary steering.
- Draw up and monitor cost allocation tables for office and staff costs.
- Conduct the monthly, bi-annual and annual accounts closing operations · Raise programme teams' awareness of contractual budget and financial obligations.
- Analyse donor guidelines and inform the teams about these procedures and their application.
- Train programme teams in internal budget and financial management.
- Check the budgetary monitoring of the funding schedule.
- Substantiate the financial accounts with regard to local legislation.
- Monitor and organise internal and external audits, assume the role of the auditor's primary contact in liaison with head office.

- Enter Street Child of Liberia costs on the HQ finance system (Aqilla) and ensure that all monthly transfers to Street Child of Liberia are fully accounted for and reconciled.

About the role:
You will plan and organise care, establishing effective rotas for well-trained care teams, minimising travel, and maximising care continuity, enabling care colleagues to spend as much time as possible with the people they support. You will be a skilled communicator, sharing important information, ensuring people receive the care they need.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Coordination of Care
- Create consistent runs and rotas, matching customers, and colleagues to maintain high levels of care continuity.
- Ensure care calls are covered in advance, to minimise the impact of unplanned colleague absences.
- Work with the Trainer to schedule training and shadowing for care colleagues, providing cover for their care calls or negotiating additional time for training compliance.
Maintaining accurate records and information for:
- Care calls, ensuring they are scheduled to meet the needs, wishes and preferences of the people we support.
- Colleague records, their availability, absences, location and travel, and other important information to ensure you know who is available to work each day.
- Contact logs and other records of communication on the care system.
Care Quality and Customer Satisfaction
- Communicate with the people we support, their families and care colleagues regarding new care services and changes to care services.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with the people we support, their families, colleagues, and external partners/services.
- Communicate in a timely manner, responding to concerns and issues - intervening early, resolving issues before they escalate, keeping colleagues informed and requesting support when needed.
About you:

- Coordinating and scheduling care calls, runs and rotas. Creating efficient runs, minimising travel to enable care colleagues to spend more time with the people we support.
- Prioritising your workload, working under time pressures, keeping calm and focusing on the task at hand, being proactive pro-active to prevent concerns and complaints.
- Compassionate communication with the people we support and their families, care colleagues, GPs, District Nurses, Social Workers, and others.

The Communications Intern is a member of the Development and External Affairs team. Their key focus is enabling impactful content production and championing high communications standards. The comms intern will report to the Communications and Publicity Manager and will support the development of a consistent and effective brand story that engages and unites both our external and internal audiences.

Specific responsibilities
An applicant appointed to the role will be expected to:
- Create engaging digital content for website, social media, and e-newsletters, through written copy and graphics.
- Support the management of CSE’s website, including uploading and editing content.
- Plan, manage, and deliver 4-6 small (30-40 people) in person or larger online (100 people) events annually, including coordination of logistics, content development, and stakeholder engagement.
- Support with edits to designed materials including factsheets and leaflets using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Support internal communications including organising systems and producing our monthly internal e-newsletter by creating content that motivates employees and informs them of important issues.
- Support with digital channel optimisation including PPC, SEO, social media (paid and organic).
- Support the development of CSE’s social media presence through content creation, scheduling posts, monitoring engagement and reporting.
- Contribute to the operational success of CSE by assisting the team with administrative and organisational duties as necessary. Collaborate with all teams to ensure cohesive delivery of our brand story across the organisation and through all communications.
- Collaborate with teams to monitor brand health, analyse audience insights, and refine our communications strategy.
- Ensure content strategy and resulting core content (incl. image library management, print production, core content, copywriting, designed asset production, and management) is up to date, consistent with our brand guidelines, of high quality and readily available for use by the CSE teams.
